Thank you so much for the kind reminder. Here's the calculation:

MSRP: $50240 / Cap Cost: $44713 / Residual: 57% / MF: .00005 with 5 MSDs / 12k-39 mos

Base Monthly: (44713 - 28637) / 39 = $412
Interest: (44713 + 28637) * .00005 = $3.67
Monthly payment before Tax = 412 + 3.67 = $415.67
Tax = 415.67 * 7% (NJ Rate) = $29.1
Therefore, monthly payment after tax is around $445

Since the actual monthly after tax is 427, which means I still owe partial tax = (445 - 427) * 39 = $702

The manager showed me the breakdown of the upfront payment: first monthly payment + doc fee + bank fee + dmv fee + other smaller fees, which is around $2300, so adding $702 came out $3000 due at signing.

Does that make sense? Please verify the calculation for me.

NJ collects the tax up front as the tax amount on the sum of the payments, so the math works out with the extra $702 due at signing.

Taxes will add approx 1570 to the cap cost plus another $700 for the bank fee. So the cap cost will be increased by (1570 + 700) 2270 + 45,000= $47,270 cap cost.

Don't think Infiniti uses MSD.

I used the cap cost number from your original post ($51,400)

Actually, they permit 5 MSD payments.

Also, $51400 is the sale price excluding acquisition, doc and DMV fees.

So, with this updated information, how much per month is good lease (without any down/first month payment).

Infiniti MSD: .0001 reduction for each MSD. 5 MSDs would knock MF down to .00005.

That would lower the payment by about $37/mo.

That's the correct MF and residual.
I get $399/mo.+tax, so that's just about right..
$2300 is first payment, acquisition fee and a $900 doc fee? Plus title/registration?
You must be in Florida

Even if you rolled the acq.fee/doc fee into the monthly payment (which I would do), that takes the payment to $441/mo.+tax, or about $467/mo. Very reasonable for $49K MSRP vehicle with just 1st payment and registration upfront.

5 MSDs would drop the MF to .00005, and would take the original payment down to $364/mo.+tax, or $386/mo.
