Looking to lease QX60 in NJ, AWD, MSRP is $59,500. Capitalized cost is 51400 + taxes, DMV, docs etc.
What should be the monthly lease with no money down, 39 months/12K miles?
39/15 numbers are .00055 and 57%.
With your prices, I get a payment of $495/mo
Just a bit of clarification needed here after some changes.
MSRP = 59775 (QX60, AWD)
Sale Price = 51400+tax+700+DMV
Term is 39/15K
MF = 0.00005 (After 5 MSD)
Residual = 55%
VPP Program eligible
No money down, only first month payment
With this information, how much maximum I should pay?
Thanks
Sorry, meant to ask what dealership in NJ is giving you that deal on a fully loaded QX60? I'm atleast 1500 off the sale price you state and that is for a dealer demo.
Thanks For the quick reply. At what step of the process do you discuss the MSDs? Would this be when you are sitting down with the finance manager?
Any time you start to discuss the price of the car and that you are leasing.. it's time to bring it up.
Ok I picked up the vehicle today after an exhausting 3 hours at the dealer. Hopefully this will help others. I am still not sure if I feel I did well or just ok. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Looking for feedback on this offer for a QX60 AWD at 39/15K miles.
MSRP: $45,000 Cap: $39,000 Payment: $424.47 Due at Signing: $1166.47 (first months payment, $700 acquisition fee and $42 tax on acquisition fee)
Is this a good deal or can I do better? I'm considering waiting until November to see if the incentives change or they are willing to knock more off MSRP as they get closer to 2016's coming out. Risk is that with stock dwindling I won't get the color I want. Smart move or not? Also, any info on when the 2016's will be available?
Thanks so much for your help. The info on this forum is so helpful!

Looks like a very good deal.
You've analyzed the risk/reward of waiting, pretty well. No insight here on what might happen, next month.
Hi Michaell, I can't seem to make heads or tails of this. Bottom line, does this sound like a good lease deal on a 2015 Infiniti QX60 premium/premium plus w/ nav.
gross cap: 46468 cap cost reduction: 4168 adj cap cost 42299 resid: 26102 down payment: 6100 39 months/22k per year $481 mo

We do not recommend making a cap cost reduction on a lease - if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money.
Did you mean to type 12K miles per year? If so, the lease numbers are .00055 and 57% (AWD) or 56% (FWD).
I'm having some problems figuring a GA resident lease with the new 7% Title Ad Valorem Tax (TAVT). We no longer have sales tax, but I was having some problems calculating the payment and don't really know where to put the tax in my calculation. I have the following worked out so far:
2105 Infiniti QX60 FW - 15k miles, 39 months MSRP: $51,490 Selling Price: $45,507 GA TAVT: $3,185 ($45,507 * .07) Gross Cap Cost: ?? $48,692 ($45,507 + GA TAVT $3,185 Residual: $27,805(54%) Money Factor: .00005 (*Applied 5 MSDs) Monthly Payment: $544.91?? Cash at close: $??544.91 (First month + ??) 5 MSDs at close = $2250
Any help would be great. Like do you put the GA TAVT in both the Cap Cost less the residual to come up with the depreciation and put it in the Gross Amount multiplied by the money factor of .00005?

Wouldn't know how to start calculating for a 22K/yr lease.. Are you paying for extra miles upfront, or are they reducing the residual to account for the extra mileage over the standard 15K/yr lease?

That's exactly how you do it.... add the tax amount to the selling price to get the Gross CAP. Don't forget about the $700 acquisition fee, as well... I'd roll that in... also, title/registration costs?
Would like to get some insight from the forum on either waiting for the 2016 or picking up a 2015 model. Rumor is that the 2016 is changing quite a bit and will debut at the Auto show in January with delivery early spring. So my question is this, realizing that no-one can predict the future.. I would think that you could get a pretty good deal based on actual negotiated price vs. what the new model will demand. Assuming everything else is = total lease monthly pmt now on a 2015 model will probably be lower than when the brand new model comes out, based solely on the fact that there will be less discount to negotiate with the dealer. I realize this is not foolproof but would love to hear if anyone has insight into what has historically happened with lease prices on the new model vs. the old model. Thanks for the insight!

I have a question about MSD's. I am being told by a dealer that the MSD's are $550 each, but I see in other posts that they used $2250 for 5 MSD's which would make them $450 each? What should they be?

I believe the cost of each MSD is the monthly payment rounded up to the next highest $50.
So, if your payment is $479, the MSD would be $500 each.
How does the below deal look both from a pricing standpoint and from a monthly lease payment.
New York MSRP $59,045 (AWD) Sale Price 53,359+Tax+Fees 39mth/10k $541.25 / mth + $3,241 COD (Tax $1,825, 1stpmt, Acq Fee 700, 75 dealer, $100 Gov/DMV) If I roll tax and fee into pmt it moves up to $604.25 pmt
If I was to do 5 MSD how much would the monthly pmt come down and does the above seem correct, how about the sale price is that a good deal based on the new models coming out soon?
I just left a dealership that wanted to lease a 2015 qx60 premium plus with cargo package in white with wheat interior and maple accents for $499 a month for 39 months and $2K down. MSRP was $51,545 including wheel locks and 2 years maintenance as well as all taxes and fees. This is in Massachusetts. Is this a good deal?

39/10 lease numbers on QX60 AWD are .00055 and 58%. Using your MSRP and selling price, I get a payment of $538.26 - pretty close to your dealer quote.

I'm not sure how the $2K is being applied but they told me they are taking a $5K loss on the deal. Is that possible? They state they look at volume moved over profit on each vehicle because it is the end of the month.

I seriously doubt that the dealer would agree to this deal if they were losing $5000. I do agree, however, that you were getting a decent deal because it is the end of the month.
Is there any downside to signing a higher mileage lease(for example 39mth/15k) in terms of the maintenance costs that one might incur as a result of tires and brakes wearing out before the end of the lease, compared to signing a 39mth/10k lease.
I am planning to sign a lease today with the following numbers:
MSRP $44,795(Base Model) CAP cost: $38,000 Down Payment: Acquisition Fee($700+tax)+DMV Fee+Doc Fee($80) +5 refundable MSDs to lower MF + First month payment Term: 39mth/10k Payment: $311+Tax

I get $318/mo + tax (assuming a .00015 MF). Quote looks good.
I suppose the maintenance costs depend on your driving habits. I am in the middle of a 36/15 lease and I've already gone through 2 sets of tires in only 35,000 miles - not sure if that speaks to the quality of the tires or to my driving style.

Michaell, thanks for the comments.
I was assuming a MF of 0.00005 after paying for 5 MSDs.
Isnt the MF 0.00055? I have been assuming that each MSD would reduce the MF by 0.0001. Putting down 5 MSDs would reduce the MF by 0.0005(5 x 0.0001), for a resulting MF of 0.00005(0.00055 - 0.0005). Therefore, my calculations were based upon a MF of 0.00005.

Please correct me if I am being mistaken.
Oh! I may have been thinking of the Lexus MSD program, where each SD reduces the MF by .00008. My apologies.
When I asked a Boston dealer about a leasing deal, he told me putting in MSDs is not going to help because the MF (0.00055, 58% on 39mon/10k) is already very low. I didn't have time to discuss more because I had to leave. But is dealer trying to confuse me? I have never heard that MSD is not going to help.
Please share your comment. What should I say to these kind of responses. Thanks.

5 MSDs would lower the MF to .00005, which is substantial. $35-$45/mo. lower payment.
What would I say? "Maybe I should be talking to your finance guy or sales manager, if you don't want to discuss my using MSDs, because you are wrong".

Thanks.
What would I say? "Maybe I should be talking to your finance guy or sales manager, if you don't want to discuss my using MSDs, because you are wrong".
