Thanks for the information. When you discuss cap costs are you referring to the acquisition and disposal fees as well. or do you consider those to be dealer licenses fees?

Also now that the month of June is over are the money factors, residuals and the lease incentives the same. I had one dealership try and tell they would be ending June 30 and did not know what may be coming in July.

I am receiving some pretty good numbers from one dealer put they are the ones that said the offer was only good until June 30th.

    Thanks

The CAP cost is the selling price + any additions (amounts not paid upfront) minus any downpayment.

The June programs have been extended through July 6th.

I would like to know what the numbers are for July. I am told they are calling these the Golden Opportunity Days. and the residual went done but so did the money factor. Can you confirm what the residual, money factor numbers are as well as what incentives are now available for leasing.

    Thanks

Residual on a 10k/yr lease? And does anyone know if MSDs can be used to buy down the MF from the .0006 special?

    61% for 36/10.

MSDs can be used to bring down the MF.

Hi, I asked about the numbers but needed to know what the 36/12,000 residual is. Ate the numbers different for the GS 350 F Sport?

    Thanks

    60% for 36/12. No difference for F-Sport.

kydfx and Michaell, thanks as always for the valuable info...

Since Lexus posted new regional offers yesterday, I am curious how this would affect the numbers and bottom line of a lease this month, as compared to last month. Last month, the standard offer on a GS350 F-Sport was $449 a month with $2999 due at signing. I see that the new offer as of yesterday is also $449 a month, but now only $2499 due at signing, plus the first month's payment is supposedly waived.

I know you stated yesterday that $2300 lease cash is available. I believe that is the same as last month.

So would the new regional offer, with the apparent $500 less dues at signing for this month, plus the waiving of the first month's payment, translate into real savings this month over last month, even though the $2300 lease cash is available? And if so, how would I go about calculating the waiving of the first month's payment into my numbers? Would I basically treat that as a reduction off the cap cost? Or by waiving the first month payment do they mean you simply don't need to make what would normally be your first payment (not including what's due at signing)?

Apologies in advance if the above question is a little complicated, I'm just preparing to try to figure out the best deal possible on an F-Sport that has an MSRP of $57,685.

The $500 less that is due at signing translates to about $14/mo, which means that the dealer contribution (discount) is $500 more in order to keep the same payment.

$2300 lease cash is still available. The first payment is normally due at signing, so your out of pocket costs simply go down by that amount.

    Thanks a lot Michael.

Just to confirm from what I could gather from some of the above posts, could you please let me know if the following is currently accurate for the F-Sport:

    .00060 MF and 61% residual for 36mo, 10K/yr. $2300 lease cash. Complimentary 1st payment
    .00060 MF and 60% residual for 36mo, 12K/yr. $2300 lease cash. Complimentary 1st payment
    .00060 MF and 58% residual for 36mo, 15K/yr. $2300 lease cash. Complimentary 1st payment

And if possible, would you happen to know what might be a realistic discount price to aim for (including that extra $500 dealer contribution)? I'm looking at an F-Sport with MSRP of $57,685.

    Thanks again.

All of the numbers are correct.

I don't track selling prices .. read through the last page or two of this discussion to see what others have been able to negotiate, or use the pricing tools at the top of the page (make / model / year).

Just one more question (for now), regarding the $2300 lease cash. If I negotiate the MSRP down to a particular selling price, does the lease cash get applied after that? For example, if the car's MSRP is $57,685, and I were able to get that discounted to a selling price of $51,900, would the $2300 lease cash then bring that down further to $49,600?

It's pretty likely that the $51,900 already includes the lease cash, but if you don't ask, you don't get.

Thanks again Michael. I know you don't generally track selling prices, but does that $51,900 sound like a good, reasonable target? I ask because I've tried the pricing tools here at Edmunds, and at a few other places, and the results seem to vary greatly (for example, an average of around $2400 below MSRP shown at truecar, and an average of around $5700 below MSRP show at kbb). From the Edmunds trueprice, it looks like around $3000, so really not sure what to really expect discount-wise at this point.

I've never shopped in that price range, so I'm probably not the person to ask.

I would work with as many dealers I'm willing to travel to and start with the lowest price I'm comfortable with and see where that takes me.

Have you visited the GS forum at clublexus.com yet? In addition to the great info here, there is usually useful pricing advice over there.

tomatosaenz, I have been looking at the same car GS 350 F Sport ($57,685). I have been going back and forth with a couple and the best price with the $2,300 and the first month payment included is just under the $51,000 mark. I went to one dealer and they would not even come close to matching that offer. They were pretty upset with it in fact and even went so far to call the dealer and ask them why or how they could sell a car for that price. I will not be going to that dealer ever again. If you can't match it great but don't ruin it for someone else. I think the phone call was shortsighted and not needed.

@jwb990 Tremendous thanks for the info about your best price quote, as well as sharing the unbelievably rotten experience you had with the other dealership. I'm sorry to hear that happened--if you wouldn't mind, could you share or private message me which dealer had the gall to do such a thing, just so I can avoid them if they're in SoCal? Good luck with your deal, sub $51k for that MSRP sounds like an outstanding selling price. If you take it and all goes well for you, please let me know, and perhaps I can try that dealer as well.

Thank you! Had dealer tell me it was only .00004, so I could only reduce the MF to .00024 with 9 security deposits. He tells me now - with your info, that I can do a maximum of 7 for a final MF of .00004. Thanks again for saving me!

    Might be repeating but:

    MSRP: 59,645
Selling Price: 54,980 (No Negotiation at all)

Looking to get into Lexus' "sweet spot" for Residual Value and Mileage

Do you think their selling price already includes the $2300 lease cash?

.00060 MF for up to 36 months; 36/15 residual is 58%.

It's likely the dealer offer includes the lease cash, but it can't hurt to confirm.

Might also want to get multiple dealers involved; the competition will ensure you get the best price.

    I want 27month/12k or 36month/12k.

It is weird because I went to get the "true price" on this very site, doesn't ask me if I am leasing or buying, and this dealer's price came right off the bat with $4,800 discount price. I would assume they don't know if I am buying or leasing to give a price like that?

Most folks in the market for a GS are leasing, so I assume the price quote was for a lease.

What is the MF for 2015 GS350 and residual in Ohio

    10k/33
    10k/36
    10k/48
    12k/33
    12k/36
    12k/48

I also heard that you can lease a certified pre-owned. Are those MF/Res the same for a 2013? Do you still need the original MSRP for the lease calculation? Seems that number would be irrelevant for a used car.

    2015 GS350
    MSRP of $55,340
discount of $2,927 equaling sale price of $52,413 (invoice)
lease cash $2,300 (is this taxable?) to make the adjusted price of $51,113.

    10,000/36mo lease

    The residual is $33,757
    8% tax

I come up with $544. Dealer says $565. Are either of those right?

Other costs (700 acq + 250 doc+ lic, etc) are not rolled in to the payment

Hi Michaell and/or kydfx and thank you both for your help in the past.

I have a 2013 GS F-Sport with 3 payments left of about $533 each. So $1,600 in negative equity.

I also have a $1,000 loyalty certificate Lexus sent me to use toward the lease of a new Lexus.

So between the remaining payments and the certificate, basically $600 in negative equity that I believe would get rolled into a lease if I chose to get another Lexus right now. Please note for anyone interested: I have researched and found that Lexus does not waive any remaining payments on the GS at this time (they only do this on the RX and ES, which are significantly more popular cars). Lexus will let you lease a new GS if there are only a few payments remaining but they do not "eat" the remaining payments, as it gets rolled into the lease of the customer's new vehicle.

I'm looking at a new 2015 GS F-Sport with MSRP of $57,685. The dealer's selling price is $50,500 (a savings of over 12%). I have confirmed that this price is BEFORE the $2,300 lease cash and free first month payment incentive.

Could you please help me out and verify my numbers below, and if possible, calculate what my payment should be? This would help me confirm that what I'm getting and what the dealer is telling me are consistent. I am looking to do 36 months with 12K miles a year.

    So to summarize:

    MSRP: $57,685
    Agreed selling price: $50,500
Negative equity from current lease: $1,600
    Lexus loyalty certificate incentive: $1,000
    Lexus lease cash: $2,300
Free first month payment: $500 (plus or minus about $30 as I'm unsure of the exact amount right now)
    Acquisition fee: $700
    License and fees: ~$500 (estimated)
    Doc fee: $80
36 months, 12k miles per year
    Residual: 60%
    Money factor: .0006
    Sales tax: 9.5%
Zero cash out of pocket at drive off

With the above, I am calculating $508.79 per month including tax, including all the incentives, the $1,000 certificate, and the $1,600 in negative equity rolled in from my current lease. This is with no cash out of my pocket at drive off. I used the formula from my current lease to arrive at that. When I use the Edmunds calculator I get a lower number though. So just curious if you're able to verify and let me know what you come up with. Any help would be much appreciated!

    Not sure of your exact cap cost - I used $50,600 ($50,500 + 1600 - 1000 - 2300 + 1800 fees) and got a payment of $542.32/mo with tax.

Thank you very much Michaell. That cap cost of $50,600 sounds about right, if you add the doc fee of $80 to the sales price of $50,500. But instead of $1,800 in other fees I'm seeing only about $1,200 in fees ($700 acquisition plus ~$500 title license, registration). I'm also applying an additional $500 credit for the complimentary first month's payment. Would this information make a difference in your computation?

It would, to the tune of about $14/mo or so, but not sure that you should count it as a credit, just that you're not paying it.
