As an update, the dealer that was marking up the MF to .00187 was unwilling to adjust saying that they don't offer leases at the "buy" rate and admitted they were marking it up. I pushed it further and they took two days to come back and say no. My calculations show this is about $70 per month from .00187 to .00137 on negotiated price of about 69K (75K MSRP) so I'm going with the dealer who was offering a lease without the markup.

I would reply asking them what their estimated payment would be using those prices, and what MF they use to calculate it. Be professional; don't stoop to their level.

Once they see you are serious, you might have a better shot at making a deal. Or, you start contacting other MB dealers - got to be lots of them in SoCal.

Last December I had three dealers I was working with. All of them charge a dealer fee which is common in Florida. The closest dealer increased the money factor and added an extra $300 to the bank fee. Another dealer further away kept the money factor and bank fee at the standard number. They were $2,000 more in price than the first and 3rd dealers. The 3rd dealer did not mark up the money factor, but added the extra $300 to the bank fee. I went with the 3rd dealer as the lease numbers worked out better. My goal on the adjusted cap cost also took into consideration the dealer fee and extra bank fee. Most dealers will increase something, you just need to analyze each deal.

I'm looking at either a 2015 GL550 or 2015 GL63 and have been told by one dealer that these lease terribly vs. The GL450.

They are quoting me MF of 0.002 and residuals of 55% for a 36mo/12k.

Would be great it someone can post the residuals and MF for these two trucks. Also, my current lease ends in January - do the best rates come out at the end of the year typically or in Sep / Oct? Lastly, can you still do the MSD program in CA? I was told by one dealer that they discontinued it...:-(

The dealer is accurate about the lease numbers.

Standard MF and 55% for the GL550
Standard MF and 47% for the GL63

By contrast, the GL450 is .00113 MF and 59% residual.

Rates change monthly. It's possible that at some point, there will no longer be a lease program for 2015 models.

We haven't heard anything about the MSD program going away.

If the used unit is a service loaner/demo or otherwise untitled executive unit, it may be eligible for the new car lease program. Of course, the residual will be reduced for the current mileage.

Was hoping to get the MF for and residuals for both a 2015 GL550 and a 2016 GL550 for 10K miles.

Also, to anyone, what do you think is a reasonable % discount off of MSRP to target for the models above?

Standard MF for both.

Find out the net cap cost - if higher than the selling price, find out what's being added.

Regarding 2015 GL550, I have received two offers from two different dealers. One offered $9800.00 off sticker of $95585.00. Another was $11,000 off sticker of $101485.00.

So somewhere around 10% or 11% discount is being offered now at end of month.

Is the sales tax based on the total of the 36 monthly payments which includes the interest OR just the total amount of the depreciation (cap cost less residual)?

 taxes assessed against the total payment – depreciation plus interest

Curious does MB provide 39 month leases? If so what is the residual for a 2016 GL550 assuming 10K miles? Is there also a 7.5K mile option? Many thanks in advance!

No 39 month programs for MB.

57% for 36/10; add 1% for 7,500 miles. Standard MF (.00200-.00220)

I saw on CarsDirect that Mercedes is offering Customer 1 Certificates on both 2015 and 2016 GL450's. It also says certificates vary between dealers. Any way to find out the value?
