Is there any negotiation with the $1490 you think?

If you aren't paying those fees up front, then it makes sense.

The acquisition fee is set by the bank and cannot be negotiated.

Doc fee is set by the dealer - you can try to negotiate a lower selling price to mitigate that cost.

License and title are fixed by the state and cannot be altered.

Yes, .00131 is the MF. 58% residual for 36/10. $1000 option credit and $1000 loyalty credit.

Not specifically, but you can buy the extra miles up front; that amount is deducted from the computed residual value.

Right, but that includes $3K in incentives, so the net discount is less than $3K. You want to shoot for 5-7% discount from sticker before incentives

Hi Michaell,
I might sound like a wimp but I've been all over the tri-state area, NY, Nj and Conn. and I haven't been able to get anything close to the numbers I gave you (for this deal).
It appears you are correct because the dealer agreed to my deal. I guess if I were any lower they wouldn't have agreed. You're suggesting I'm overpaying by about $1200 on the selling price of the car.
That's about 90-100 dollars a month over the payment I stated earlier. Are you telling me I should be paying $533.00 per month for this car (given the upfront money I stated)? If so, I'll go back to the drawing board.
BMW (and nobody else for that matter) tells you to negotiate your best deal and then deduct all incentives.
You're advice has been quite helpful.

Sorry, I meant $30 a month less than what the dealer is quoting me or $603 a month with the upfront money I stated earlier. That equates to about $1200 over the 36 month lease. Are you advising me to aim for $603 per month?

X3 may not have as deep a discounts as other models. You can widen your search area or go with the lowest price you've been able to negotiate.

Every $1000 you can negotiate off the price results in a $28/mo savings on the payment (pre-tax).

I've never shopped in this price range before

Read back through the last few pages of this thread to see what others have been able to negotiate.

At some point you have to decide if your time is worth the potential money you're trying to save.

And, I don't make decisions with other people's money

I get the same numbers.

It's not a bad deal, it's just that X3s are not that cheap to lease. (and, that's a pretty high priced unit, too).

If you have $4900 you can part with for 3 years, you could do MSDs and bring the payment down about $46/mo. (or, put another couple hundred upfront to get the payment under $650, and MSDs would drop to $4550).

The only one that knows the answer to your loyalty credit question is the dealer that provided the quote.

monthly payments stayed at $518. I did get a $300 credit for unused miles on my previous lease.  Overall very happy with the new X3.

I get $434/mo on the first one, and $503/mo. on the second one.... both fairly close.

But, looks like about $875 in BS fees. (etching, doc fee, some fee). I'd want to lose about $500 of those fees.

The MSRP is constant. It's the number on the window sticker. A dealer discount is just that. A discounted price under MSRP. That results in your selling price. It seems you are mixing up your terminology.

The money factor is marked up, and the discount is small. The X3 lease program from BMW is not all that great, anyway.. It will never be cheap, but this isn't a good deal, in any way.

53820 MSRP 47900 sell price. Money factor of .00082 with 7 MSD. 58% Residual. I will pay the fees and state taxes upfront

10k/36month. $556.69 month

Does the payment sound right? I ran it through a lease calc and not sure if I did anything wrong but came up with something in the 528 range?
