Would anyone be able to provide the MF and resid for 36/15k for the 2016 and 2017 x3 35i? Thanks
2016: .00138 MF and 58% residual 2017: .00138 MF and 50% residual. $3500 lease credit.
Interesting,
Why 2017 residual is lower than 2016? Is it because of the 3500 lease credit? Should the lease credit be expected on top of the MSRP discount that I negotiate. In other words, if I shot for 5-7% off MSRP, should the 3,5k rebate come into play after the MSRP break off.
Can we get June MF and residual for 2017 x3 12/36 with Msport and without, if that would make any diff.

Have no idea why they decided to structure it that way, but yes, the residual is low to make up for the lease credit.
Yes... expect $3500 off what you would expect to negotiate, normally. (but, verify).

.00138 MF and 52% residual. $3500 lease credit.
Ok, here is where I am standing:
MSRP: 53145 Negotiated Price: 50500 (After 2645 discount which is about 4 % off from MSRP) BMW Lease credit: 3500 Trade: 1500 (I am not happy about it and plan to bargain more on this - 03 Honda Pilot 175K) Capitalized Price: 45500 Residual %: 52 (for 36/12K) , (residual price ends up being 27,635.40) MF negotiated to 0.00148
Now, the tricky part: I told dealer, I will pay MD taxes: $2,730.00 (45500 *0.06) They are showing "processing" and "non-tax" fees totaling about 650, which i don't mind paying up front. So, assuming I pay taxes and their fees 3380 (2730 md tax + 650 dealer fees), according to my calculations with the above numbers, lease payment should be (496.24 lease depreciation + $108.24 lease finance charge) for a total of 604.48.
Dealer version of the story is 3500 down and lease payment of 657 which does not make sense to me. they are rolling taxes and fees all in, and then coming up with a final lease payment, but at the same time ask me for 3.5 down which to me essentially is taxes and their fees in way. I don't get where the 50 something dollar difference is coming up. they are telling my "formula" is wrong...
I would be okay with paying 3.5K down but payment should be right around 600 (all taxes and fees included) - am I too optimistic or is it reasonable?...
If I take my trade our of the equation and try to sell it separately, then buy 3 or 4 MSD - will this get me to under 600 payment. I really do not want to pay more than 3.5K up front for a lease, instead leaning towards MSD which supposedly I should get back at the end, if condition is good etc...

You forgot the acquisition fee of $925. Also, that $3500 incentive is taxable.

What is the $3500 lease credit? I don't show that for the 2016 X3.
its 2017. the residual is only 52 but i guess because of this, BMW is offering 3500 rebate to compensate. 2016 residual will be 59-60 from what I know thus far which is make the bottom line kind of same.

Not sure what the extra $95 in the drive off is. Maybe documentation fee?
Dealer comes up with $575.99/month at 8% tax
We are actually in a 9% tax zone, so I believe it will bump the payment to $581.32. Doesn't seem like a big discount off MSRP, but not sure X3's have too much. Thanks.

I also get $581.32 with those numbers. Does look like an OK discount from sticker.
So my corporate discount deal fell through because the dealers have already "punched" their 2016 vehicles. BMW will not honor the corporate discount if the car is already reported as sold. So the deal listed above is off the table.
However, I found a different X3 that is equipped more to my liking. Here is the new deal:
MSRP $51,470.00 Selling price $45,000.00
36/15k miles, 58% RV MF: .00089
Base Payment 487.38 Total Payment 531.24

Please let me know if this looks right. They are holding the vehicle for me to pick up on Saturday. Thanks!

If the car has been punched, the dealer should be able to give you a much better deal on that car since BMW gives the dealers additional incentives to punch cars. It is my understanding that BMW will have dealers punch (buy) the cars at the last day of the month depending on month to date sales.

So are you saying that the deal I have on the table is not a good one? When you say "much better deal"...how much better do you think I should be doing? I thought 12.5% off MSRP was pretty good.
just heard back from dealer...he says the $2500 covers first payment, sales tax, an MV and dealer fees.
Okay.. the tax still isn't right. NYS only taxes the sum of the payments, and collects it upfront. They don't tax the full selling price of the vehicle.
As mentioned before, the MF is marked up from the .00138 base, and you still need to know the adjusted CAP cost. (which won't include tax, because the $2500 covers that, right?)

It could be better.
MF is marked up from base of .00137.

What state and tax rate is this?
This is in NC and the tax rate is 3%.
I will check with the dealer on the $3000 breakdown.
Really appreciate your feedback. Thanks.
Just heard back from the dealer.
This is the break down on the $3000 due at signing. Capital Cost Reduction (down payment): $1,735.72 Capital Cost Reduction Tax: $52.07 1st Months Payment: $499.45 Documentation/Administration Fee (doc fee): $598 Title Fee (tags/NC DMV): $94 Up-Front Sales Tax: $20.76 Total Due At Signing: $3,000
I checked on the Money Factor. He said it is 0.00137 (so the previously quoted 0.00147 could have been a mistake).
The residual at the end of the lease is quoted at 65% which is $32,724.25
Edmunds TMV for this configuration is$46,963 and the dealer quoted me $47,442. So there may be more room for negotiation (also, this is there last 2016 X3 sitting on their lot).
Please let me know what you think about this deal, and if I can do any better.

There is more room. First, figure out what invoice is. Use Edmunds or truecar for that. You should be under invoice. I have been looking for a 2016 for my wife and I am getting quotes between $500.00 to $1,000 under invoice. Also use MSDs if you can afford same and buy down the money factor. Email other dealers too.

Cash down: 4169.5
Rebate: 1000
MF: 0.00069
Total adds to cap: 925
Adjusted Cap cost: 39719.82
Base monthly rental: 404.6
Tax: 35.4
Total monthly pay: 440
Security deposit: 3150
Amount due at start: 4169.5
Since there is a security deposit, the total drive off fee = 4169.5 - 1000(rebate) - 3150 ( deposit) = 19.5
Is it a good deal?
Thanks in advance!

As mentioned before, the MF is marked up from the .00138 base, and you still need to know the adjusted CAP cost. (which won't include tax, because the $2500 covers that, right?)

X28i MSRP $50,345
Cap cost $44,150.
36/10
base MF rate .00138.
$2500 out the door includes first month, all MV fees plus sales tax.
Appears to be a very good deal to me.

Thank you to the moderators -- I picked up my new X3 yesterday! After months of looking around on these boards, trying to decide which vehicle I wanted, I finally made my purchase. The deal above is exactly what I agreed to yesterday, and I am very happy with the vehicle so far. Thanks again!

I will check with the dealer on the $3000 breakdown.
Really appreciate your feedback. Thanks.
This is the break down on the $3000 due at signing.
Capital Cost Reduction (down payment): $1,735.72
Capital Cost Reduction Tax: $52.07
1st Months Payment: $499.45
Documentation/Administration Fee (doc fee): $598
Title Fee (tags/NC DMV): $94
Up-Front Sales Tax: $20.76
Total Due At Signing: $3,000
I checked on the Money Factor. He said it is 0.00137 (so the previously quoted 0.00147 could have been a mistake).
The residual at the end of the lease is quoted at 65% which is $32,724.25
Edmunds TMV for this configuration is$46,963 and the dealer quoted me $47,442. So there may be more room for negotiation (also, this is there last 2016 X3 sitting on their lot).
Please let me know what you think about this deal, and if I can do any better.
Thanks again for all your feedback.
