Hey guys, quick question before I pull the trigger. Want to see what kind of money factor I'd expect. I'm doing a MSD payment + money factor lease.
E63s AMG 2016 MSRP: 103,500 Selling price: Not sure, have to negotiate, probably Residual (according to cars.com): 48 @ 52,925 (but seems low) MSD payment: 25k + Trade in value: AT LEAST 5k = 30k+
What should I expect in monthly payment and money factor? Have great credit.
Standard MF and 57% residual for 36/15.
No clue on payment, without selling price.
Wow, it's standard MF even with a 30k down deposit and good credit through first class leasing option?
So according to cars.com the corresponding MF to residual value is 0.0029, that surely can't be it no? Can it be around 0.0019?

We usually see the Standard MF around .0020-.0022.
MSDs can lower the money factor, but I'm not sure by how much.

Thanks to everyone on the forum for your input---it's been very helpful. Here's what I wound up agreeing to for a 2016 E350 4matic sedan in Northern Cal:
MSRP: $65,290 Selling price: $54,874 (net of $3,500 dealer/fleet cash) Residual: 59% Term/mileage: 36 months/10k Drive-off: $7,156.35 including 10 security deposits totaling $6,000, first month payment and DMV fees Monthly payment including sales tax: $563.80 Money Factor: 0.00037 (discounted for multiple security deposits)
Nice deal! Enjoy the new E-class
Just curious, is paying 10 security deposits like paying the first 10 payments up front?

The size of the security deposit is the monthly payment rounded up to the next highest $50, so the amount of money is comparable. But, the idea is that you get a lower MF with those deposits, and the deposit money is returned to you at the end of the lease.
I am looking to lease a 2016 E350 4MATIC and have a couple of questions. Can multiple security deposits be applied to reduce the .00077 MF. I believe its is a reduction of .00007 per security deposit with a maximum of 10. So can I end up with a money factor of just 0.00007 after applying 10 security deposits? Also, does autopay reduce the MF by .00010? Can if be used along with MSD ?
Micheall .. can you help me with my question from yesterday (repeated below).. Thanks!

The information about MSDs for MB seems to be spotty and inconsistent.
We've always believed that MSDs could be used for MB leases only when the standard MF of .00200-.00220 was in play.
We've had some folks post on these boards that they have been able to apply MSDs to supported money factors, like the .00077 for the E350. But, we have no official knowledge whether that's true or simply a dealer choice.
You may have to check with your dealer to see what their position is on the matter.
Autopay is different than MSD and will reduce the MF by .00010

1) $2250 dealer cash 2) 5 Payment lease pull ahead if you are currently leasing a Mercedes-Benz 3) Multiple Security Deposits (up-to 10) are allowed even when using the supported money factor (which is 0.00077). Each security deposit will reduce the money factor by 0.00007.
Additionally, there is a sizable holdback for the dealer on this vehicle. I think its between 4-5%
After some heated haggling, I ended up with the following...
According to the dealer, he will make about $1300 + doc fee + w/e he gets out of the maintenance after receiving the holdback... not sure if I totally believe that..
Pretty happy overall, I've always found it difficult to deal with MB dealers ... BMW is much easier.

Solid deal ... good on ya for sticking to your guns, price wise.
Appreciate the follow up, and enjoy the new E-class!
And, I wouldn't worry about what the dealer will or won't make. They wouldn't have agreed to the deal if they were losing money (or not making enough).
I found a E350 4MATIC Luxury Sedan on a dealers website for $56525. I did a True Value Estimate on Edmunds and it came out to $50153. The vehicle has zero options (Which I really don't care about - Matter of fact it is perfect). My company offers a fleet cash of $2250.00. So I have 3 questions:
1) Do you think I should be able to negotiate a purchase price of $48000 without much issues?
2) What is the RV & MF on this vehicle for 36 Months with 12K miles? My credit score is just above 700.
3) I am planning to lease it, so do I have to pay the $925 transportation charge or just the acquisition fee of $795?

1. It can't hurt to try. 2. .00077 MF and 58% for 36/12 3. You are responsible for both charges
I live in Seattle and ordered a 2016 Mercedes E Class Wagon with $1000 down and my trade in of $3,000 I am being quoted a money factor of .00248 and a RV of 61% and monthly payment of $1015. Does that sound like a good deal? The sticker was $76,905 (loaded) and I negotiated down to $71,800. I was told by Michaell in the Audi forum (I ordered a Q7 too in case I did not like he MB) that the standard MF for MB is .00200-.00220. Thanks!

We don't know the actual standard MF for MB but think it's in the .00200 to .00220 range. Dealer looks like they have marked it up.
Using your prices, and a MF of .00210, I get a payment of $941/mo plus tax. Depending on the tax rate, $1015/mo seems about right.
I'm looking at a 2016 e400 coupe, or e350 sedan, RWD
Terms: 30 or 36 months 10,000 miles per year $1400 total drive off MSRP is $65,500
I'm trying to get about $12,000 off msrp and possibly service included in Northern California.
Can you help me understand what the, residuals for either car and what the money factor at buy rate is? Also, what a payment might look like? Thanks a lot from your help.
