No, 10K residuals are 1% higher than 12K. 36 month, 10K residual on Outback 2.5 Limited is 60%; for 12K, it's 59%

I'm looking to lease a new 2016 Outback 2.5i Limited - base price with options is 34,481 and the dealer is offering at cap cost of 31,961. However, 42 month lease terms at 10K/yr at $443.75/mo (including trade-in equity of 1K) at 57% residual and .00185 MF.

I think this is high - the MF seems high based on what I've seen here and the residual is too low. Advice?

Base MF on 42 months is .00135. Maximum markup is .00050.

Residual is correct. It's only 3% less than the 36 month residual.

I don't really pay much attention to pricing, unless it's a vehicle I'm shopping for. 2016 Outback is not a cheap vehicle to lease, though, relative to it's MSRP.

You negotiate the selling price on a lease, just as if you were purchasing the car.

This is for a 36 month/12,000 mile per year lease with nothing down except first month's payment and plates. Quoted RV: 59%, Money Factor @ .00065. Total monthly payment: $430.63. I ran this through Edmunds lease calculator and it was spot-on. So the question is whether or not the RV and MF are accurate for the month of October. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

MSRP: 35296 Capitol Cost : 33020, Total Cap Cost 33751. 0 down with 12000 miles per year. Money factor is .650 residual 59%. My monthly payments would be 420.20 includes tax. Still seems high to me but I am a newbie..

I got $306/month for 10k/36 premium, no options, $100 worth of accessories. $2400 upfront(including taxes) + registration, is this a good deal?

What kind of other insurance does subaru offers on top of gap in terms of dents, scratches etc. I got some blurred offer for $900/36m(Zurich select protection), protecting almost nothing 2500/800 of sth, while my friends at bmw or Toyota got ~$30/month, $5000 non deductible insurance.

Your prices coupled with the lease numbers of .00065 MF and 61% residual give a pre-tax payment of $306.26/mo - bang on with the payment you quoted in your earlier post.

I get $366/mo (assuming 9% tax) with your prices.

Find out what the net cap cost is - if higher than your purchase price, ask the dealer what's been added.

In CA, tax is applied to the monthly payment, not calculated up front as on a purchase. What is the tax rate?

Need to know the MSRP in order to calculate the payment.

Doesn't AZ tax the monthly payment?
