Get a breakdown of the $1750 due at signing; that doesn't seem to be enough.

Bonus cash is just $250 for LX, EX and Sport. EX-L and above are $500.

$1000 lease cash is for all.

2016 vs 2017 My lease is up at the end of this month.. my car is a 2013 Accord Sedan EX-L V-6 with Nav should I extend my lease till the 2017 model is out (same car EX-L V-6 with Nav) or go with 2016.

You will probably get a better deal on the 2016. Don't know what changes there will be with the 2017 model.

How does the lease cash work?

For example, I'm looking at an Accord EX with a sales price of $24,000, MSRP $27,215, 36 month lease, 12K/year, MF .00051. Monthly payment appears to be approximately $273 ($595 acquisition rolled in) before lease cash and TTL.

How would I factor dealer and lease cash in? I believe there's a total of $1,250? Is the lease cash deducted from the sales price?

where are you getting the 273 pre-tax figure?
the sell price MAY change once they know you are leasing
there seems to be 1000 dealer cash for purchases and 1250 cash for leases

sample calc from the weymouth lease calculator:

MSRP incl. destination $27,215.00
Lease Price $23,019.18 (they already deduct the lease cash to get this #)
Residual $15,512.55 (57% of MSRP)
245/month (excludes tax, doc, dmv)

Yes, a true 'sign and drive' lease reduces the MF to .00041. Only 35 payments that way.

using the excellent weymouth price of 23020, the 35 pay monthly is 262 (pre-tax). That includes $479 of combined doc/DMV fees for MA. You will have to adjust this for your state - taxes, doc fee and DMV are quite variable. what state are you in?

NY limits doc fee to $75 (one of the few rational states in this regard)
NY avg DMV fee is 74
tax rate is high at 8.75

The MF on the Accord is month is .00051; the 36/12 residual on the Sport w/ Sensing is 56%.

Using your MSRP and selling price, I get a payment of $285/mo before tax.

Find out what the net capitalized cost is - if higher than the selling price, make the dealer explain to you what fees and taxes were added.

The .00041 is used on a true "sign and drive" deal - all costs are rolled into the lease price, and the dealer makes the first payment for you.

Negotiate your best price, then ask for the incentives to be added.

You probably should never jump on any offer. This one seems to be a pretty decent though. All in all it is around $350 per month. Which would be a great price for the 6 cylinder model. For 4 cylinders I would shoot for something like $320-$330 per moth. You can agree on $321 per month with just the first month at delivery.

How is this a good deal? Over $1000 down without any of it being 1st month payment. Am I nuts?

Not a bad deal as is but I'd say there's ~$300 of slop you can try to squeeze out of that deal.
to be clear the honda fee of $595 is the acquisition fee that goes to Honda finance
the dealer doc fee is pure dealer profit so you are actually paying closer to 27.3 for the car

In general, accessories can't be residualized. There may be some high cost items (roof racks on SUVs, etc) that might be partially residualized, but it's rare. I always suggest doing without dealer accessories. If the cost to you is actually $1300, that's over $36/mo.!!

So, apply the 53% to $31,465
