Hi, I just got some numbers for a lease I'm working on in Northern New Jersey. 2016 Honda Accord Sport with Sensing. I'm wondering if this is a good deal or should I ask for other particular numbers and negotiate more.
MSRP $26,900 Selling Price $24,583 Super Preferred Tier $339.96 - 36 Months - 12K miles $500.00 total out of pocket
I think they said the money factor is .00054 and I saw online that the Residual Value is 54%. However correct me if this is inaccurate. Thanks!
The MF on the Accord is month is .00051; the 36/12 residual on the Sport w/ Sensing is 56%.
Using your MSRP and selling price, I get a payment of $285/mo before tax.
Find out what the net capitalized cost is - if higher than the selling price, make the dealer explain to you what fees and taxes were added.
I asked them for the net cap cost and they told me it's the selling price plus these fees they provided me with.
First Month 339.96 Tax 856.69 MV 229.50 Doc 449 Bank Fee 595 Tire Tax 7.50 = 2,447.65
Fees without taxes 1,620.96
Net cap cost with fees 26,203.96
This would be my third consecutive lease with this dealership and they told me I get $500 loyalty. Where should this 500 be applied to? I don't see them applying it anywhere.
I ran the numbers with out my $500 cash out of pocket and before taxes I got $284.81 with taxes it's around $300. Where is my $500 cash being applied to? These fees seem very high especially considering that I'm coming back to them after two consecutive 3 year leases. Something doesn't seem right about this deal. My numbers may not be spot on since I'm still learning. Please advise. Thank you!

.00051 and 57% (EX) or 56% (EX-L)
$1000 lease cash and $250 bonus cash (EX) or $500 bonus cash (EX-L).
based on this, they are offering base lease payments as such:
$1500 customer cash: $303.23 for 24 months, $274.18 for 30 months, $263.00 for 36 months $2000 customer cash: $281.19 for 24 months, $256.64 for 30 months, $248.42 for 36 months $2500 customer cash: $259.16 for 24 months, $239.11 for 30 months, $233.85 for 36 months
i'm assuming i should avoid putting down customer cash and shoot for a $0 down payment lease and just pay fees up front along with first month's payment?
Been reading this forum the last few days. I currently drive a 2012 Camry (SE 4cyl) that I have roughly $3000 left on before paying it off. I'm currently paying $300 a month for my car but have been considering trading in my Camry and leasing a 2016 Accord V6 (either EX-L w/navi and HS or Touring for the LED headlights).
I've never leased a car before so I'm wondering what the MF and residual will be for the models I mentioned above in the Bay Area (Cupertino)?
Thanks for any help.
Also how are dealerships in regards to tinting windows on a lease? Is it allowed? I currently have limo tint on the rear windows and 30% on the front two so I would like to do the same on the lease.

What lease term and how many miles per year are you looking for?
.00051 is the MF; $1000 lease cash and $500 bonus lease cash.
Don't know about the allowance or not of aftermarket tint. If it can be removed at the end of the lease, I don't see a problem with it.

Looking to get Honda Accord Sport with Sensing before the end of the month 36/12 what would be the MF and residual I am also wanting to add leather to it, does that affect those two numbers?
What is the lowest price you have seen for the EX-L V6? I initially wanted the Sport due to looks but i am having a hard time convincing myself of a 4 cylinder since i have been driving 6 cylinder cars for the last 10 years
I was advised by a member here (thank you) not to add the leather to the Sport with a lease.
so far for a lease i have several quotes and they are all around $370 for 36/15 with zero down, is this an ok lease price . selling price i am getting is $26,300 but dealers not willing to provide cap cost and other details on email.
your help and experience will be greatly appreciated wanting to take advantage of the month end situation if i can

Without the cap cost, it's hard to fully evaluate the strength of your deal.
36/15 lease numbers on the EX-L V6 are .00051 and 53%.
There is $1000 lease cash and $500 bonus lease cash available - use that to help drive your lowest selling price.
Michael and forum, is there any APR/Sales Tax benefit of Honda one-pay lease in Texas for personal use? It is clear to me that financially speaking may not make sense due to low interest and risk if the car is totaled.

MF for a one-pay lease would be .00001. (actually, the discount is .00080 from the original MF, but since the MF on the Accord is .00051 and you can't have a negative MF, the MF is set at .00001)
In TX, you pay sales tax against the entire selling price; no way around that, to my knowledge.
If the car is stolen or totaled with a one-pay lease, you would be refunded the unused portion of the payments. Different than cap reduction, which is lost if the vehicle is totaled.
Looking for a 2016 Accord Sport 15k 36 months in NC. do you have MF and residual?
Also wondering if there are any incentives. Thanks.
.00051 and 55% for 36/15. $1000 lease cash and $250 bonus lease cash.
OK, so according to my math msrp is 25955, and according to true car a good purchase price would be 23888, and using these numbers as a guideline with fees rolled into the payments I get 278/month. Is this accurate/sound like a good price?

Check the "Accord Prices Paid" forum - there are some pretty sweet deals being had on the Sport .. under $22K, IIRC.

Do You think this is a good deal… So Cal 2016 Accord Sedan Touring 36 month lease 12K/year zero at signing.. $435.00/month tax (9%) included.
Hard to say. What is the MSRP and the adjusted cap cost?
MSRP is $35415 I'd like to think the adjusted cap cost ends up being $32005 have not yet seen the actual final breakdown, but wanted to get some ideas before going in for the signing.

If this is a true "sign and drive" promotion, and all fees are rolled into the cap cost, with absolutely $0 out of pocket at signing, the MF is .00041 and the 36/12 residual is 51%.
Using your prices, I get about $445/mo including 9% tax. Your quote is right in the ballpark.
Hey guys, just got back from a local dealer and wanted to get your guys' opinions on what they offered me:
This is for a 2016 Accord Touring:
Sale price: 35,515 Adjusted price: 32,991
with a trade in for my 2012 Toyota Camry SE (they are giving me ~$13k) and $1,000 cash down, they offered me $343/month for 36/15k. What do you guys think?
MF is .00051 and residual is 51% (thanks to Michaell for the info)

I asked them for the net cap cost and they told me it's the selling price plus these fees they provided me with.
First Month 339.96
Tax 856.69
MV 229.50
Doc 449
Bank Fee 595
Tire Tax 7.50
= 2,447.65
Thank you!
Loyalty can be used to offset the upfront costs or to reduce the selling price.

36 * 303.60 = 10929.60
your current quote: (35 * 339.96) + 500 = 12398.60
12398 - 10929 = 1469 too high
-> Any idea why he's getting 303.60 vs your 330.49?
-> I approached the dealership with this breakdown that leads to $303.60 and they are now offering me this deal... $303.60 per month. I would be paying up front $303.60 - first month and $449 M&V for a total of $752.60. What are your thoughts on this? Is this now a good deal?
-> As for the $500 loyalty, they said it will be used to cover part of the wear and tear for the lease I am returning. Is that fair?

$23000 Sales price
$369 documentation fee
$1610 sales tax
$7.50 tire fee
$301 estimated registration fee
$25287.50 total sales price
based on this, they are offering base lease payments as such:
$1500 customer cash: $303.23 for 24 months, $274.18 for 30 months, $263.00 for 36 months
$2000 customer cash: $281.19 for 24 months, $256.64 for 30 months, $248.42 for 36 months
$2500 customer cash: $259.16 for 24 months, $239.11 for 30 months, $233.85 for 36 months
i'm assuming i should avoid putting down customer cash and shoot for a $0 down payment lease and just pay fees up front along with first month's payment?
I currently have limo tint on the rear windows and 30% on the front two so I would like to do the same on the lease.
.00051 is the MF; $1000 lease cash and $500 bonus lease cash.
Don't know about the allowance or not of aftermarket tint. If it can be removed at the end of the lease, I don't see a problem with it.

Looking to get Honda Accord Sport with Sensing before the end of the month
36/12
what would be the MF and residual
I am also wanting to add leather to it, does that affect those two numbers?

At least i know he is doing the math correctly, i have a couple of questions
What is the cash offset above $316.5 that was added to selling price?
I still think i can do better than $370 a month , i might hold out until tomorrow, i'd like to be around $340
To drop the payment that much, you'll need to get another $1000 off the selling price.

It is clear to me that financially speaking may not make sense due to low interest and risk if the car is totaled.
