As a followup, the dealer is saying it's a .000141 base rate and with multiples drops to .00092. Is this accurate or are they tacking on an extra point??
Hi Michaell and all, Thanks for your prior response regarding the multiple refundable security deposits and the x5 deal.
The numbers I'm getting are as follows: 2016 X5 35 xdrive $71,195 MSRP $65,640 Invoice (as per Edmunds) $1,500 loyalty program $1,500 rebate 58% residual (36 months / 10k miles) .00092 MF with multiple refundable security deposits ( !! this varies from the .00082 you calculated, please confirm should this be .00092 or .00082?) 9% PA sales tax First month and registration for inception.
My calculator gives me payments of $759.94, I negotiated with dealer to get it to $750.
Please advise/confirm on the multiple refundable deposit rate and viability of the deal. Thanks!
So the dealer was giving me a wrong MF, they corrected to .00082, making my calculated price based on edmunds invoice $748.58, dealer is giving it to me for $750, and $2,070 at signing including $750 first month, $925 bank fee, and 395 doc fee(not counting the multiple refundable security deposits).
Is the deal OK? Is it reasonable to ask for these under invoice (before rebates credits)? Are the out of pocket fees normal/consistent with what BMW usually charges?

Tacking on an extra point.. That's a pretty small markup, especially if they are selling it to you for invoice minus incentives.

The BMW fees are normal. Dealer doc fees are more regional in nature, as they really have nothing to do with make/model.
I'm debating lease vs purchase I'm looking to keep the car after the 3 years for at least 5 years. With the aggressive November rates being offered on leases is it worth to lease then purchase?
MSRP 62,720.00 selling 56,450.00 down 3,000 tax 8.00% CA
I also have a Mercedes ML350 trade-in - should I do a separate contract for that? I've received trade-in values from 4 dealerships. Outside of Mercedes this dealer is offering the most $

Rarely does it make sense to buy after the lease, especially with a BMW - the residual values are usually inflated to keep the lease payment low, but the buyout value is often too high. And, the interest rate for used cars is higher.
Hi, checking to see if anyone has information on December lease money factors for the 2016 X5s. Also is anyone aware of any additional sales support beyond the $1500 option credit (i.e. loyalty credit). Much appreciated!

Could someone please advise on this. 2016 BMW X5 Msrp 62620 with selling price 55675. I am Texas and was told there is tax credit on them now. 36 month lease with 10k a year for 725 a month, how does this look?

.00131 MF and 58% residual. $1500 option credit.
If the selling price is the CAP cost, I get $658/mo.
That's a $2400 difference. Does the tax credit cover all the tax? Also, have to account for the $925 acquisition fee.
Yes tax credit is 3400 which is full credit what I have been told and MF is .00124 I am also entitled to loyalty credit (1500) but I believe it is already reflected in the final sales price. I will be getting more details today as well.
Long time reader, first time poster.... I entered into what I thought was a good deal on a 2016 X5, but I can't seem to get my lease calc to match dealers... can someone out here help me? I think I may be able to dispute...
It is for a 36 mo/12 K mile lease
MSRP 62945 Agreed Price 56000 Resid 57% MF with all MSDs .00082
I calculate a lease payment of 634.27, taxes excluded
My dealer calculated 648.47... (this is with taxes excluded)
What was strange is that I get the exact dealer number by reducing the MSRP by 925 (which is the destination charge, right?). I also got first payment covered for free, but that shouldn't play into the monthly lease calc, right?

yes 925 is also the acquisition fee. Question still remains, why does a different MSRP (with same agreed sale price) get me to the dealer monthly payment? Would greatly appreciate input into which number is right given the inputs.

Thanks again!
The answer isn't in a different MSRP. That's just coincidence.
The difference is almost exactly $500. Maybe it's a $499 dealer fee? Or, something else undisclosed.
Hmm. Then something sketchy going on. I was supposed to pay all fees up front. And I accounted for doc, acquisition, registration. I am still waiting for the explanation. Not going to take delivery of the car without one. And I am not paying a hidden dealer fee. Is this normal?
2016 x5 sdrive35i with premium and drivers assistance package + BT streaming MSRP 59,595, I have loyalty (not sure what is the latest savings on that, lets assume $1500), and ultimate driving credit $1000, trying to get agreed price to 53,000. Now if I get to the agreed price of 53,000 do you know if BMW will agree to decrease the price further to 50,500 given the above incentives?

There is no secret to negotiating. Tell the dealer what credits you have, then negotiate a price that includes them. Those incentives come from BMW, so they aren't coming out of the dealer's pocket. I'll be surprised if you could negotiate $6600 off MSRP, without any incentives, though.

Do you know what the RV and MF are for a 2016 X5 M?
Assuming a MSRP configuration around $117k (and that I would have to build the vehicle) any idea how things change for January and February?
Thank you,
Lam
