    Can I get the MF and residual for CLA250 AWD for Iowa 36/10k. Here's the actual vehicle:
    CLA250 4MATIC Sport

    Also, with it being a 2016 and MSRP of $48,375, it looks like I could get a good asking price. Any possibility I could bring it down closer to $38k-40k? I haven't seen a lot of offers.

    Thank you Michaell. Any suggestions on how to get the MF down? Dealer has given me a 14.4% discount off MSRP for 2016 model but the MF is 3-4x the base amount you are suggesting and the residual is a few points higher.

    Be polite and tell them you won't sign a deal with an inflated MF.

    And, the dealer can not modify the residual value - it's set by the bank.

    Does the MF and residual vary by state? Looking for OR... for three options 36/10, 36/12, 36/15.

    Is it worth going lower mileage to start and then buying additional miles if needed? The dealer was pushing me to go low and buy extra, but would love a non-biased opinion.
    Typically buy vs. lease, so wrapping my head around it all.

    Hoping now that 17s have started to arrive, the pricing on the 16s should be much more aggressive to move.

    Interesting about "buying" only when maxing out at 15K. I'll have to follow-up on that.

    In the past, I've had cars about 6-8 years, but kind of like the idea of being able to get something new every 3 years or so (and a lower payment). OR if I'm in love with the car, refinance at the end of the lease term and go the ownership route.

    I hear you. I have car ADD, so I tend to lease and get something new every three years. My wife is a 'buy and hold' person, so we financed her Outback.

    But - rarely does it make sense to lease with an intention to buy. There are costs associated with a lease that you don't have when you buy (acquisition fee, for one). So, think through this based on how much you like the car and how long you keep it.

    Are above numbers (FWD - .00025 and AWD - .00027) the same for Washington State CLA 250 AWD and FWD?

    Also what are residuals for the same, 7500/36 and 10000/36? Thank you.

    Michaell, what is the residual and MF for 2016/2017 CLA 250 AWD for 36/10K ? From earlier posts, I took it as 58% and 0.00027 for both 2016 and 2017. The dealer just told me that for 2017 its actually 60% and 0.00046. Is this correct ?

    Is the below deal good ?
    MSRP - 34,400 + $7650 (extras) + $925 destination = $42,975
    Net Cost = $37,818 (assuming a 12% discount)
    Residual = $25,785 (at 60%)
    Depreciation = $12,033

    Monthly: $363.51 (finance fee -29.26 + monthly fee 334.25)

    I live in Yonkers, NY (10701). do you know on what amount the tax will be calculated ? I am assuming Tax is paid on monthly payment, so it shd be (8.875% on $363.51 = $31.81 * 36 months = $1,145) . Is this correct ? The dealer said my tax will be close to $2,087 !!!!

    Need some help. Looking a leasing a 2017 Mercedes Benz CLA250C, MSRP $46.1 . I can buy the car for $42k plus taxes, registration etc. However for a zero down , 7500 mile, 36 month lease they want $694 a month. This seems way out of line. Please help/comment. Location is Tampa, FL. Absolutely no credit score concerns.Thanks

    What is the residual and money factor on 2016 cla for 36 months/12k.
    A dealer is offering 56% residual and 0.00025 MF on cla 250 which has ~2000 miles (was a loaner car and wasn't titled). How these miles driven are calculated in a lease calculation?

    .00006 MF and 56% residual for 36/12.

    The extra miles will reduce the residual from the 56% amount. Probably by $0.20-$0.25 per mile.

    The MF is .00006 (4 zeros).

    We don't track selling prices - find out what kind of discount is available on a new unit, and deduct accordingly for the miles. That's how the residual is adjusted.

If the discount available is 2000, how exactly do I "deduct accordingly for the miles"? Do I  just take 2000 off the sale price I was offered or is there some other formula?

    .00008 is the base MF for the CLA 4Matic.

    Generally, deduct .25-.50 per mile; if the car has 9000 miles on it, take another $2K off the $2k discount you are already getting.

    58% residual for 36/7.5
