    just signed a deal

2016 IS200t F Sport Ultra White with Rioja Red
    MSRP 44289
Selling price 38789 ($5500 off msrp)
    Tag license + acquisition 1259
    Lease incentives - $2600
    new grad incentive -$1000
    certificate incentive from Lexus -$1000

    Final Cap cost 34389
    15k/yr @ 58%
    MF 0.00110,
    9% LA county tax
    $0 drive off

final monthly payment with tax included $368

could do better for silver lining but settled with best combo

How many months? Any $ down?
I'm guessing the term is 48 months. That's the only way I came to that payment. So is the residual for 48 months at 15k 49% or 58%?
I alreadt clearly specified that its 58% so its for 36months i would absolutely not lease IS200t F sport if the payment for 15k exceeds $420 its not worth it and you could get behind the wheels of BMW 328i and MB C class

My new grad incentive and certificate incentive definitely helped as cap reduction in others's case its their money to reduce the cap

Unfortunately MB and Audi dont have new grad incentive as cap reduction

And I already have a BMW M4 so i wanted to try the lexus

Id aim for $6k off msrp on different color othet than Ultrawhite with red interior I think its achievable

    Lexus IS 300 F-sport

    Vehicle Price $46,198.00
    Preferred Customer Discount -$1,250.00
    Subtotal $44,948.00
    Vehicle/Identity Theft Registration $289.00
    Fees $590.41
    Taxes $3,209.73
    Total Price $49,037.14

And I was quoted a monthly 0 down payment of 608.83$. Residual at 61% and MF 0.0011. I know that quoted monthly payment is on the higher side. Any suggestions? Also i calculated myself I get a 25$ lower monthly payment.

    Thanks in advance.

That looks like a purchase price. What state is this?
Utah. They gave me the purchase price calculations with lease monthly payments for 0$ down, $1000 down and $2000 down at the bottom. The sales manager said the $608.83 quoted $0 down monthly payment includes the $1250 plus $2600 rebate discount from MSRP. And the number includes all fees taxes etc. I tried to get him to show me the math but he said I would have to talk to the finance manager at the dealership for more information.

Can someone help me with the numbers on a Lexus IS 300 F-sport with MSRP of $46,198.00 with a $1250 discount and $2600 rebate. The sales manager said the lease payment per month includes all the fees, taxes etc.

The Sales manager wants me to come in and talk to the Finance manager since apparently only the finance manager can give out the lease payment calculations. How do you think I should approach this? I live in Utah btw,

    Thanks in advance.

Here's the deal I've been offered so far on a 200t f sport. 48 months 15k miles 0.0011 MF, MSRP of $44759, not sure of the net capital price, but after tax they are at a $435 payment with $0 drive off. Anyone think it would be doable to get the same $435 payment but for a 36 month term rather than 48?

Well.. first, you want a better price. The advertised lease for this model assumes a dealer discount of $2250, in addition to the $2600 incentive.

You should be somewhere around 465/mo.+tax, with just 1st payment and title/registration for 36/10.

It might be a little higher, but you should come close. The residual difference is 9% between 48 and 36 months.

I wouldn't lease for 48 months. Just tell them you are only interested in 36 months, and see where it goes.

    Urgent Advice needed

    IS 300 AWD F-sport
    36months/ 10k
Zero out of pocket except MSD's

    MSRP = $46,883
    9MSD's = $4050

    Monthly Payment = $425

I assume they used the residual as 61% and Money factor after MSD's would be 0.0002

  • shagerman0715shagerman0715 Member Posts: 23
This is what they are offering for 48 months 15k miles.
    MSRP of $44249
    Residual at $21682
Acq. Fee is $700, doc fee is $499
After incentives and discounting and adding the fees makes a net capital of $38864
After factoring in 0.0011 MF, and 7% sales tax they are at $454.
When I do the math for 36 months, at 58% residual, I'm coming up with the same payment(or within a few dollars).

How much should the money factor be after i do the 9 MSD's?

I get $423 with those numbers - so, confirm the total balance with the dealer.

Or, they've inflated the MF, but not by a whole lot, which seems odd.

Got a new quote on the IS 300 F-sport. I live in Utah btw. Residual at 61% and MF at 0.0011. 36/10K lease

    MSRP $47,228.00
    Dealer Discount $3145.00
    Rebate $3000
    $0 down

$512 including tax is what I was quoted which is said to include all fees. Does that number look correct? the only way I get to the same number is adding fees of about $2100 to the gross cap cost. Thanks

Make the dealer give you the adjusted CAP cost, and when it varies from the other numbers they quote, ask them to reconcile the numbers. They are other costs being added, or money factor markups. That will make it clear.

The dealer does not seem to want to give out the adjusted cap cost etc. He keeps saying the calculations are complicated and all that and keeps only giving me the final monthly payments. He did however say that the numbers include all the fees so i am assuming it includes the following

    Acquisition Fee - $700
    Tax on Rebate - $210
    Doc/title/registration fees - 590
Dealer Service Charge - $600 (approx)

Only then i get the numbers he is giving me.

If they are not willing to lay all the numbers for you I'd think about finding a different dealer. The one I'm going through sent me a buyers order with all the numbers on it including fees, etc.

If I add the acquisition fee, I get $438/mo.+tax.

There are only 2 dealerships in the State of Utah and the other one is also owned by the same person sadly so they dont have any competition from lexus but only from other car brands. They keep asking me to come in and talk to the finance people but i know they want me to come in to sign the lease and i will probably waste a day in there.

I feel ya man. That makes sense. See if they will give you a buyers order on paper with all the numbers.

I asked about one of these and the finance person said only a handful of these certificates are given out per dealership. Not sure if it's true or not.

The lack of competition is not helping. You willing to travel to Denver or Las Vegas to get a more transparent deal? You'd get a nice road trip out of it, and one-way plane tickets can't be that expensive.

Just be very clear with the dealer. "Your lack of transparency is going to make me look at Audi and BMW. If you can't give me the information I ask for, I'll just move on."

Of course, if your only contact is email, this may not help. Lexus dealers are great, as long as money isn't important to you. If you are a normal person, though, Lexus dealers generally suck.

I did go to the dealership to test drive the car 8 days back. They were pushing me to sign the lease even though i made it clear to them that I wasn't going to sign anything without seeing detailed numbers. The sales guy and his manager kept coming and going back and forth trying to enlighten me on the lexus brand and how they need help from me to meet their quota since it was 2 days before the end of the Sales event. Then the sales manager went to say stuff like he has lot of costs to pay and that the price I am seeing is a good price and all. I just left since I knew the numbers were wrong. Then I called them up 2 days later returning their many emails and phone calls and wanted to know more as to what are the numbers that go into the lease, they made it seem like i had no idea what goes into a lease payment. They just did not get it that I wanted actual numbers and not the different variables involved. At one point, the guy was like "you are just overanalyzing everything. Its just a car". Thats when i decided to just send emails and for each email question the reply i would mostly get is when do you plan on coming in? we have everyone here ready to help you out.

The car that I want in the color I want is in the dealership 50 miles away. The way the sales manager is talking is as if he has no clue where the car is and if the car is even available. Then I told him it is cos he knows exactly where it is and he knows its available as well. Then he pulled the there is another buyer coming in on Monday card and he even added ha ha ha ha at the end of his email. I am interested in getting the car but without knowing exactly what numbers make up the lease payment I cannot counter their offer since I am pretty sure they are padding up the fees not to mention the car being in another dealership probably adding some delivery charge which is not needed since i can go pick the car up myself but they just wont divulge all that information.

The worst thing about all this is the dealership has stellar reviews on most websites and that is hard to believe.

I do appreciate all the advice I have gotten from you guys on here. Thanks a lot everyone.

F-sport has no effect, either way.

Using your MSRP and sale price, I get $502/mo before tax.

What is the adjusted cap cost the dealer is using?

I would be turning in my 08 lease which i got the following deal on:

    Term: 24month/10k miles
    Payment: $355.86
    MSRP: $43,138

    2016 IS300 AWD Fsport

    MSRP: 46,883
    Rebate: 2600
    Discount: 3152
    Adjusted cap: 41,130

    36months/10k = $425
    9MSD's = $4050
    RV = 61%
    MF after MSD's = 0.00005

The only issue is that this is a showroom car with 150 miles on the ODO
The sales rep said they would take that into account and that's the reason for giving me the extra discount
Zero out of pocket with tax everything rolled in. This is in Ohio with a sales tax of 6.5%

    Inputs please ?

I'm simply using the numbers you've provided. No idea if the sell price includes or excludes the incentive.

I have a home grown spreadsheet I use as my lease calculator.

We don't track selling prices, so not able to give you a sense of how strong the deal is.

Here is what they are offering for 36 months 15k miles.

    $45148 MSRP
    $26185.84 residual at 58%
    $8975.67 in discounts and rebates
    $36172.33 subtotal
    Tax is $258.78
    Tag and title $139
    Acquisition fee is $700
    Dealer service charge is $599
    Total balance of $37869.12
Tax rate is in TN at 7%
Payment they are offering is $429. Not sure if I'm missing something but I'm coming up with $422. Other than that does this look good?

I get $423 with those numbers - so, confirm the total balance with the dealer.

Or, they've inflated the MF, but not by a whole lot, which seems odd.
Got my car yesterday. I questioned the difference when I sat down with the finance manager, and after playing dumb for a minute, typed some stuff on his computer and said ok you payment is $420.79. So not sure what they did but at least it worked out and I drove out paying nothing.
