Thanks, @kyfdx. If my Adjusted Capitalized cost is $41,446.56, how does that compare to the MSRP? Gross Cap is $46,446.56. Residual is $28,361.34 - does that appear to be high?

I just question this if I put down more than the $2799 with my $3000 for a 39mo lease.

There is also a $4,464.72 "Rent Charge" that goes into the calculation of the $450/mo - is that standard?

What is the MSRP on your vehicle?
    What term and mileage?

Comparing it to the advertised deal is a little like apples and oranges.
    MSRP was $46,494. 39mo/10,000 miles a month
.00110 MF and 61% residual for 39/10. $2000 lease cash.

Looks like the difference between your gross and adjusted cap is the $3000 down + $2000 lease cash.

With those numbers I get $421/mo.
I get a total rent charge of $2995, though. That's the finance portion of the monthly lease payment multiplied by the number of months.
If your rent charges is $4464, then that is a red flag. They may be marking up the money factor for extra profit.

I believe my MF was .0016 and residual was 68%.  Why is that rent charge what it is and what can I do about - I have taken delivery already...

It appears that your rent charge is higher, because they marked up the money factor for extra profit. If you've taken delivery, I doubt there is anything you can do, but keep it in your memory bank for the next lease.

Hi @kyfdx - I'm aware that July incentives might not yet be out - but when they ARE, could you kindly post the MF/Resids/Incentives for a 2016 IS350 F Sport AWD for 15k/36months in NJ? Are there any lower lease terms I might want to consider with Lexus like perhaps 30 months? I know some brands offer strange deals in those middle areas. I appreciate your help and will be asking an identical question regarding an RX 350 on that forum as well.

.00110 MF and 57% residual. $2600 lease cash and complimentary 1st payment.

36 months is the best term.

    I was given 61% residual on a IS300 with a $46,000 MSRP for a 36/10k lease.
Does anyone know how trip and term/miles affects residual during this 'Golden Opportunity'

Higher mileage allowances and/or longer terms result in lower residuals. The more of the car you use, the less it's worth at lease end.

Thanks. Based on looking at posts in the prior pages, it looks like the residual then decreased this month, but the incentive slightly increased -- is that correct? Net, the decrease in residual may be worse than the increase in incentive?

Incentive up $600, residual down $920. So, slightly worse.

What do you guys think of this deal. A 2016 IS200t F Sport with a couple of small options. Southern California.
Sticker price is $42,754.00, internet price is $38,900, money factor is .0011, and residual is 60% = $25,652.00. This includes the $2600.00 rebate plus first payment of $380.00.

$2000 drive off. I agree on the price. It's still too high. I'd say $2k too high

Can you please provide MF/residual for IS 300 F-sport AWD 36/15k in CT. Thanks.

    Potential Deal:

    2016 IS300 F-sport 36 month / 15k
    MSRP: 44839
    Purchase Price: 38239
    MF: 0.00090
    Residual: 58%
    Acquisition: 700
    Reg: 195
    Doc: 349

First month's is paid for by Lexus, I would only be paying for up front costs no down payment or cap cost reduction. They are quoting payment around 434 with my 6.35% tax.

    Thoughts?

If you are paying the acquisition fee, registration and doc fee up front, those numbers give me $395/mo with tax included.

I'd ask for the adjusted cap cost - if higher than your purchase price, find out what's been added (dealer fee?)

I understand the answer would be pure speculation. Based on previous history (if that helps), would the residuals go up, down or stay the same for August?

I received these numbers from another dealership. To me, the payment makes no sense, but maybe my math is wrong somewhere:
    MSRP: $43568
Selling price (including $2950 in rebates): $35509
    12K miles
    36 months
    60% residual
    MF: 0.0011
    Tax: 7.5%

I'm assuming the residual is based out of the MSRP, so at 60%, it should be $26141, right?

The monthly they are quoting me is $389

Hi and thank you for such an amazing service. Florida grad student looking to get MF and Residuals on an IS200t F Sport for 36 months at 10k/y for the Golden Opportunity Event. Also wondering if there are any incentives. Seems like they have an additional incentive if you purchase.
Got these numbers from dealer for 36m/10K lease
    MSRP: 42754
    Discount: 3862
    Vehicle price: 38892
    Tax: 2333.52
    Doc Fee: 798.50
    License: 250
    Elect Filling: 250
    Due on delivery: $42524
Sounds about $2500 too much to me.

    Down: $600
    Due monthly: $419

    And once again, thank you!

    2016 IS300 F Sport
    $46,500 MSRP
Negotiated down OTD to $39900 (not including $199 / $700 fees.)

60% @ .00110 for 12k miles. 36 months. zero down. (I believe the paper was 480 including tax. $439 without tax.) I want it under $400/month.

Planning on paying taxes and fees up front. With maybe 2-3 security deposits (are these a good idea?)

One problem, there's no calculator online that I can find that matches up with their numbers. How can I check their numbers manually? What calculator do you recommend? Any other thoughts?

    Tax rate 8.675, MO. Thanks!

The tax amount is wrong; Florida assess sales tax against the monthly payment, not the entire selling price.

    36/10 numbers for the IS200t F-Sport are .00110 and 61%

$2600 lease cash and complimentary first payment.

Have the dealer provide you with the adjusted cap cost for a lease, not the purchase out the door price.

Thanks!

I confirm the MF and residual values.

Have the dealer provide you with the adjusted cap cost - if higher than your OTD price, find out what's been added.

Security deposits are a good way to reduce the payment; you'll get that money back at the end of the lease.

Not sure you can get it down to $400/mo however.

Here is a link to an article that shows you how to build your own lease calculator in a spreadsheet:

Maybe a silly question, but do you apply the residual value to the MSRP price? And about the adjusted cap cost: the piece of paper I got says:MSRP $42,754 on the first line and right under it says Discount: $3,862.85 is that the adjusted cap cost? Do I add the incentives to that? Thank you

Yes.. the residual percentage is applied to the full MSRP.

The discount is subtracted from the MSRP. The result is the selling price. The CAP cost is the amount "financed". So any fees or amounts not paid at signing are added to the sale price, and any downpayments or rebates/incentives are deducted. That number is the adjusted CAP cost.

I'm still a rookie at the leasing process, but received this offer on an IS 300 AWD in IL.
    36months, 7500 miles
    MSRP 45,635
    Selling price 41,000
    Security deposits 4,500
    No money down
Not sure what MF and residual they used
    Monthly lease 487.77

Sound like a decent deal? Thanks in advance.

    .00110 MF and 62% residual. $2600 lease cash + complimentary 1st payment.
The money factor would be reduced by the MSDs, but not sure by how much.

How much money is due at signing, other than the $4500 security deposit?

You should ask for the adjusted cap cost, the total amount due at signing, and the money factor

Nothing due at signing besides 'plates' (I think around $190). I'll trying asking about the cap cost and MF.

I've never used MSDs. In your opinion, good idea or bad idea?

I've used MSDs on Infiniti and BMW leases. Saves quite a bit, and I've had no issues at lease end. But, make sure you aren't loaning them the MSDs, just so the dealer can markup the money factor, only to discount it back to where it should have started to begin with.

Thanks for this great resource you provide!

Do you know when August-specific least information will be available? I have an offer now and I'm debating whether to wait or not.
