    Hi everyone,
looking into leasing an IS300 here in MA. Dont need much mileage. Does Lexus Financial do 7.5/36 leases? Would appreciate the March MF and RV for this model with 7.5/36 (if this exists) and 10/36. Also any info on lease incentives this month? Thanks!
    .00060 MF and 67%/66% residual for 7.5K/10K/yr. + complimentary 1st payment.
Thank you! Do you know of any incentives such as lease cash or conquest cash?

There are definitely incentives... I had to sign something giving it to the dealer ($795 - On Rebates and Non-Cash Credits line item on lease agreement).

    Cap Cost Reduction
    $4,279.62
    Acq Fee
    $700
    Doc Fee

    Rent Charge (???)

Is $5500 the total amount due at signing?

    If so, looks good.

Rent charge is the total finance charges on the lease.

    MSRP 41713
    Savings 2738
    Rebate 374.99
    Cap Cost/MVP 38975
    Sales Tax 603.11
    Dealer/State Fees 502.20
    Customer Cash 1999
    Net Residual 27530.58 (66%)
    MF 0.00095
    Drive off 2373.99
9 MSD's offered but small change in payment

    Monthly lease payment 374.99

    My questions below:
    1) Is this a good deal on the lease?
    2) Think I can counter for more off the cap cost?
    3) According to the Lexus website, first month's payment is complimentary - why is that included as part of my drive off?
    4) Am I able to understand where the customer cash is going towards? With my calculations, it seems only $1300 of the $2000 is going towards cap cost reduction

    Thanks in advance.

    1) The calculations are correct.
    2) We don't track selling prices
    3) Because the payment has to be accounted for. Your drive-off is $374.99 more than the actual cash you have to come up with. That $374.99 is covered by the rebate.
    4) The one charge missing is the $700 acquisition fee. Looks like your $1999 covers tax, fees, $700 acquisition fee, and maybe a little bit of CAP cost reduction (about $200).

Not sure why the MSDs didn't make a bigger change to the payment. I'd ask them to run the numbers on that, as well. How much did it change?

You did fine - $390/mo on a car that stickers at $45K is a good deal.

Enjoy your new IS for the next 3 years, and thanks for sharing your deal details with us.

Thanks for all of your guidance. BTW I did see a monthly incentive sheet during my negotiations. There is anywhere from $500-$100 lease cash available, depending on the model. It was $500 for the IS (used in my case for a cap cost reduction and to cover reg fees). And of course the complimentary first month in addition.

    Hello

Does anyone know how the $2649 due at signing indicated on the advertised deal for the 2016 IS300 is applied to? Does it all go towards cap reduction or fees are included? Using a lease calculator I cannot make the numbers of the standard deal work with MFacebook 0.0006 and 66% residual work unless the car is discounted a couple of thousand. That indicated to me that there is some kind of hidden cash somewhere that Lexus provides. Anybody tried it?

I was offered 36/10k around 360 plus tax with 4100 down (they added 1500 worth of fees on top of the down-payment of 2600). The car msrp is 46K they offered it for 46K. I am not happy with the deal state is MI btw.

Please let me know what your thought are thank you in advance.

Any regional or national offer assumes some sort of dealer 'contribution' (aka discount from sticker). Any monies due up front are treated as cap cost reduction (down payment).

You are right - no discount from sticker and $4100 down is not a good deal. Might be time to try another dealer.

Thank you for your response Michael. Unfortunately my original posting had a type. MSRP was 46K and it was offered at 44K. Would that change your reaction to the deal? I still believe that they can do more discount.

Each $1000 off the price reduces your pre-tax payment about $28/mo on a 36 month lease.

Still, we don't recommend a down payment - that money is lost if the car is stolen or totaled.

Got the detailed breakdown from the dealer. Here's the full skinny

    Market Value - 45063
    Discount - 2763
    selling price - 42300
    Accessories - 990
    doc prep fee - 699.99
    license/title - 79.24
    Acquisition fee - 700
Tax on Collected items - 84.27
    capitalized initial fees - 534.53
    total Cap - 45388.03
    trade allow - 11500
    trade payoff - 11000
    rebate savings - 534
    Net cap cost - 44,354

    Base Payment - 494.25
    Monthly tax - 40.28
    36 mo payment - 534.53

    capitalized initial fees - -534.53
    1st payment - 534.53
    Due on Del - 0.00

    Rate - .0007
    ann miles - 10,000
    Residual % - 60+3=63%
    Residual amount - 28389.69

    Tax - 8.15%

This still doesn't feel like a good deal to me. I have asked the dealer to reevaluate without any trade (don't have to trade current car - 2010 MB C300 67k mi)

    Also the "Accessories" are
    Lexus of H Protection - $394
    Tinted Windows - $595

Yes, same numbers for F Sport.

We don't have the specific numbers for New England, but the range provided should give you an idea.

If you've taken delivery, there is no 3 day 'cooling off' period, just so you know.

If you haven't taken delivery, you've still signed a contract but the dealer may let you out of it.

Need to know the MSRP and adjusted cap cost in order to tell you if the payment is good or not.

And, what is the tax rate where you live?

    Looking to lease a 2016 IS350 F-Sport for 48 months in Nevada.

MSRP $51733 with $1500 rebate cash and $3000 cash down. $51733 cap cost. $1787.72 sales tax. Doc fee $449.50 & title fee $21. Other fees $197.25. Net residual $32074.46 at 53%. MF .000700. Drive off $1500. Monthly payment of $551.99.

Is this a good deal? The residual % is a bit scary, but I realize the car will be a year older than a typical 3-year lease when all is said and done, and I plan to buy it after the lease period anyway. Also, why is the cap cost the same as the MSRP? Keep in mind, all these numbers are pulled directly from the payment document the dealer gave me.

    Thanks in advance!

    48/10 residual is 53%; I confirm the .00070 MF.

If the MSRP and cap cost are the same, I get $562/mo before tax.

What does the $1500 at signing go to?

What is the tax rate? I thought Nevada taxes the monthly payment, not collect it up front - but, I could be wrong about that.

Yes, you should negotiate a discount from sticker, just as if you were buying.

Yes, you should negotiate a discount from sticker, just as if you were buying.

I got the same calculation on a $51,733 cap cost as well. Not sure where the $1500 rebate is going--after doing a couple other calculations, this is what I got:

    1.) MSRP - $1500 rebates = $529.66/mo (based on $50,233 cap cost)
    2.) MSRP - $1500 rebates - $3000 cash down = $465.06/mo (based on $47,233 cap cost)

    And then, of course:

    3.) MSRP - $0 (cap cost the same as MSRP) = $561.96

With that said, I'm quite perplexed how the dealer even got to $551.99/mo. Will definitely be worth asking! Also, you are correct--NV lease sales tax is applied to the monthly payment, not upfront.

One thing to note, the paperwork says the net residual value is $32074.46, which is actually the value based on the 36-month lease residual value percentage of 62%. My calculations show the correct net residual value as $27418.49 (based off 48-month 53% residual). Do I mention this to the dealer, as well? I imagine a greater net residual value will equal a lower monthly lease payment, correct?

Is this a good deal? Seems they are coming out high to me... If so, recommendations on what they would bring down if i asked/walked?

2016 IS300 AWD base (10 miles on it) purchase in kansas for Missouri resident.

    36 Months
    10k Miles
    Cash Down: $3.500
    $496month (sales taxes, etc included)
    MF 00160

Side note, I pay personal property tax as well... is that normal on a Lease?!?

MF is marked up, and the $795 for the Nitrogen / Door Edge Guards / Window Tint is probably twice what's it's worth.

Is the $3500 used to lower the cap cost or to cover the up front taxes and fees? Get a breakdown of that.

What is the tax rate in Missouri?

You pay personal property tax on a lease, as well (at least, I do here in Colorado).

Thanks Mike! For Missouri: Local (4.125%) and State MO (4.225%)

I presumed based on our conversations the 3500 was used to lower cap cost, but they confirmed the $496 was inclusive of all taxes and fees. I can try and get a better breakdown, though. They said the MF was non-negotiable, are they blowing smoke? Outside the $795 you mentioned, i want to make sure i'm not getting washed here and can negotiate some things down to a more reasonable level.
