Looking for some assistance with a potential lease. Its the first time I've looked at a lease, so I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong or if the dealer is messing with the numbers.

2016 Camry SE 24 mo, 12k/year (I think MF is 0.00060, 71% residual)
MSRP $24,675
Sales Price: $18,694
Aquistion fee is $650:
Sales tax 6%
He is telling me the net cap cost is $22917.78

I am using the lease calculator found on leasehackr, and if I work in the cap cost he is telling me, the payments are around $260/month...What am I doing wrong? Is $18694 not the sales price?

I am trying to replicate the current deal that some people are getting regionally, which is a lease for under $150/month. I do not qualify for the $750 recent grad discount...

Assumung I fall into the top tier credit the MF is 0.00060
No MSD

There are conflicting reports if MSD can be applied to this deal. If it is, there is a potential for the MF to go down to 0.00004 (with 7 MSD's).

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Am I doing something wrong?

I get $264/mo with 6% tax and those numbers.

Can't help you with why others are getting such low lease payments ... perhaps more money up front?

And, find out what's been added to go from the $18,694 sales price to the $22,918 net cap cost.

So I hammered down some things with a local dealer. This is what I got:

2 year, 12k miles per year
Sale price: $20784 (before incentive)
Upfront: $3025.74 (In MD Tax is levied on the sales price upfront)
Monthly payment: $116.70
MSD: $1050
My total out of pocket costs over two years would be right around $4600-$4700.

If I went with this local deal compared to state that doesnt do taxes like MD, I would end up paying around $1000 more. Even though my total out of pocket costs would be about $1000 higher, I wouldn't have to deal with going to pick up and drop off the car. Trying to figure out what's best at this point...

Since tax is the same amount, why not go with 36 months and amortize the tax over more payments?

I didn't think of that, thank you. However, I am mainly interested in this deal due to the 2 year lease at (what seems to be) aggressive rates. I don't want to lock myself into 3 years....

All fees and driveoffs rolled in incl first payment, 8% tax
MF .0006, no MSDs (Payment would drop between $3-4 with each MSD)
$179.78/mo. Payment goes down about $7 if I pay first payment at signing

I might have been able to shave a bit more off with a wider search, but I had 2 dealers within 35 miles willing to compete on this deal. Not worth it to me to drive a long way or negotiate for a week to save $100 more.

That is a great deal -- hope it's available next fall when my lease is up. Anything under $200/mo would be very attractive.

Virginia is not in the SET region.

Residuals are the same, however.

MF is .00079 for either term, with $750 lease cash.

Also, does having navigation and the technology package effect the residual like it does for Honda?

I made offers to a couple of dealers in the Phoenix area today and they all said that the residual on a 24/12 was 69%, mf was .00073, and they wouldn't tell me the lease cash.

The guys over at LeaseHackr said the residual was 71%, mf was .00073, and lease cash was $1,250.

Either way, I'm going in to sign on a lease tonight. Once I get the actual numbers, I'll report back.

I would guess that the $1000 lease cash is part of your $1250 cash back. Not likely to be two separate incentives.
