Without a tax credit, I show the AFS deal to be about $15/mo. better.
But, with a 5% tax credit, I show the USBank numbers to be better by $75/mo.

All assumptions with no downpayment.

You are skewing the numbers by putting in a big downpayment. That will lower the monthly payment on a 36 month term by much more than on 42 months, as you are amortizing that downpayment over fewer months.

Better off just making first payment and DMV charges at lease signing. Dealers have no problem cutting you a check for the excess, as it makes no difference to them.

But, check to see if the USBank lease includes GAP insurance.

Do you know what is the max number of MSDs? I always thought it was 9 but a dealer is asking for 10.

I think Audi Finance does allow 10 MSDs to be made. Each MSD lowers the MF by .00005, IIRC.

But, don't hold me to that.

Well, this thread will make your head spin! Valuable information to be had, sure! I've been talking to a dealer and they won't budge from MSRP - well, not yet at least.

Theyve located a vehicle that met my specs at another dealer but want 1500 to get it to them! Of course, I am expected to cover that cost.

That said, could someone please provide the June 2017 MF/LF and Residual using Audi Financial on the following:

For the 3.0T, that is the correct base MF for both trims.

Thank you. Dealer stated the 0.00210 was their cost # so I was only able to garner a 0.00220 MF - but it needed to be shipped over 500 miles and I was able to negotiate the shipping and a little off the MSRP, but not much. Nonetheless, Edmunds and all the info here helped me to become more a more "informed" consumer! Thanks again!

Base MF is .00204, so that is marked up for extra profit.

With your prices, I get $898/mo with the marked up MF, and $857/mo with the base MF.

Your number splits the difference, so I'm honestly not sure what to say, other than to confirm the adjusted cap cost.

Yeah, I know the MF had a mark up. The gross cap cost is straight from the contract, so it should be right. I get $848.10 when I run it through the lease calculator, may be I have the wrong MF? The paper work doesn't explicitly mention mf. What about the discount of MSRP? Is 7% off enough to justify the MF markup? I wish I had known the base mf rate when I walked in to the dealer. Thanks

Yeah, the MF is never mentioned on the paperwork - you'll generally see a 'rent charge' amount for the lease term.

7% is a strong discount on the Q7, which might mitigate some of the MF bump.

So there's a special running here in sfl for the q7 premium 2.0.... $499/ month with $4389 down. 

Has anyone walked into into the dealer and negotiated based on this offer. I wonder if they'll negotiate on the msrp let alone acknowledge the special.

You can always negotiate.

For reference, the $4389 down equates to about $122/mo, so the "true" cost of the lease is $621/mo

Before taxes, fees, etc.

What lease term and miles per year?

We do not recommend using trade equity and up front cash to lower the payment - that money is at risk and would be lost if the car is stolen or totaled.

.00210 MF

That payment is way too high with that much cash down - if this is a 36 month lease, that $5200 works out to over $140/mo - so the 'true' payment is closer to $1100.

Not a good deal for a $65K car.
