Question: I was offered a lease deal as follows:

2016 QX60 AWD base model + remote start only
$1140 total due at signing (includes all fees and taxes)
$483 per month lease deal for 39 months
    12,000 miles per year

    thoughts?

    .00135 MF and 62% residual.

    Need to know the MSRP
    Selling price
    Adjusted CAP cost.
The MSRP is 44,400 (exclusing destination charges)
Selling price is 41272.16 (the agreed upon value of the vehicle section of the lease)
    Adjusted CAP cost is 43182.26

    Thanks in advance!

    Good deal?
    QX60 AWD
    MSRP - $52740
    Prem, Prem+, Drivers Assist
    Nassau County, NY
    39 mo/ 12k miles

$529 Sign and Drive - $0 money down

    Good deal?

Did you cover any costs at settlement. I know you said sign and drive but I've been given a "sign and drive" deal in the past and it was really sign, pay for all costs and taxes upfront, and then drive.

With those numbers, I get $497/mo.
Are you in a state that collects the lease tax upfront?
Just wondering, because of the $1900 difference between selling price and adjusted CAP.

    I'm in NY.

So I guess it's a good deal? It ended up being $481.86 /mo with 1140.96 up front (including all)

    My deal on 2016 qx60

    msrp 59060
    selling 53200
    rv 63%
    mf 0.00135
2000 down towards taxes and fees
    monthly 589.70

    in NJ

is that a good deal?? Please advice!!
    10k miles/39 months
I confirm the MF and residual values. However, when I use your prices, I get $532/mo. I would confirm the adjusted cap cost with the dealer - if higher than the selling price, find out what's been added.
    Hi,
my payment includes NJ taxes. Does this help??
What is the tax rate? It would help to know the adjusted cap cost - selling price with all taxes and fees added in that aren't being covered with the $2000 due at signing.

The MSRP is 59290, but lease is based off of discounted price of $52900.  Residual is 63% or 37352.  Money Factor is .00135.

There is no cap cost reduction.  The $2275 is just your fees, i.e. 1st months payment, DMV, Doc Fee, etc.

Where are the taxes? NJ calculates sales tax against the sum of the payments and collects them up front. You either pay them at lease inception or add them into the selling price. Which is it?

Looking at a QX60 with premium and premium +, just one of our options right now... But realized my husband is eligible for VPP because of his employer--does anyone have more information on that program? We're starting to work with a car broker and I wonder where I will get the best deal--negotiating with the internet dept., bringing them claim code for VPP, or through the broker.

I can see pricing through their website and, for example, a car with an MSRP of $50,860.00 is discounted to $47,848.00, a savings of $3,012.00. It looks like the TrueCar estimate is lower so I don't even know what the benefit of using VPP would be.

What would a good lease deal be on this for 36/12 or 36/15? Zero down. I'm in CA.

    Thanks so much!

VPP establishes a fixed price for the vehicle, before any applicable incentives. Not sure if you can beat that price on your own or through a broker.

Would need to know the adjusted cap cost in order to model a payment. AWD or FWD?

FWD. Sorry, would the adjusted capital cost be the discounted price, or is there another amount? I just started emailing dealers about leasing cost and then I was going to ask about the VPP hoping to see which one is lower. So with VPP, they automatically have a lower price and then they apply rebate, etc. on top of that?

    For QX60 FWD with premium, premium+, driver's packages I'm being offered from one dealership: (asked for 12 v 15k and 36 v 39 months.)
$44976.00 plus fees and plus dealer adds. I asked for them to match TrueCar pricing which is $43,830, better than the VPP pricing so not sure what the higher price is aside from the splash guards at $215, which I don't need.
    36 15K drive offs $1879.07 $547.82 plus tax
    36 12K drive offs $1849.69 $520.86 plus tax
    39 15K drive offs $1840.47 $512.40 plus tax
    39 12K drive offs $1813.43 $487.60 plus tax

Another dealership offered: adjusted msrp $44,209. $1500 drive offs, 12k, 39 month lease $495 with $1500 down/drive-off and $540 with zero out of pocket. Tax included.

Thoughts on these deals? Again, I'm in CA.

If you get VPP pricing, then they have to give you all available rebates. It's a no-hassle way to get a really low price. However, you still have to be careful in the finance office, as they are allowed to markup the money factor, even on a VPP deal. We did a VPP deal on a G37X in 2011, and it turned out very well.

MSRP: $50,495; yes, looks like 39 months is the way to go with this one. I'm working with a car broker but had to do my due diligence to make sure whatever number she gets me is better than I could have negotiated myself.

I have found a QX60 and looking for some numbers. Trying to do as much homework before I go to dealer. Have plugged some numbers into the lease calculator here but can anyone tell me if what I'm seeing is about right?

Should be FWD. Looks like I did pick up the AWD numbers from earlier in this thread.

So I updated it to use .00098 MF and 58% residual. Is that correct? If so, I now end up with $577/mo.

    Cheers.

Is it FWD or AWD? Those are the AWD lease numbers.
Should be FWD. Looks like I did pick up the AWD numbers from earlier in this thread.

So I updated it to use .00098 MF and 58% residual. Is that correct? If so, I now end up with $577/mo.

    Cheers.
.00098 MF and 58% residual is correct for FWD 39/12.

What are you using for the CAP cost?

Sorry to follow up but a dealer in PA (Philly area) is quoting me a 57% residual on a QX60 AWD. I live in NJ. Are there differences in the residual for PA versus NJ? 39 months, 10,000 miles per year. The money factor seems consistent at .00087.

    Thanks.

No.. 57% is the 39/15 number for AWD.

    39/10 is definitely 60%, and it's nationwide.

Below is the deal I received on a 2016 QX60 AWD Premium, Premium Plus packages 39/15k. Residual of 57% and MF of .00087 in Wisconsin

    MSRP = $50,540
    Gross Cap. Cost = $44,799.55
Cap Cost Reduction from trade = $1287
    Adjusted Cap Cost = $43,512,55
    Residual Value = $28,807.80
    Base Monthly Payment: $439.96
Monthly Sales Tax = $2.04 (lower due to trade in, saved $22/month by trading so really only lost $429 on trade equity if you figure I am saving $858 over the 39 months)
    Total Monthly Payment = $442

Thought overall it was a pretty good deal and thank the forum for the information provided. Very useful for negotiating.

.00098 MF and 58% residual for 39/12, assuming FWD.

What you are missing is the adjusted CAP cost. There is at least the $700 acquisition fee to be rolled into the CAP cost. If you add that in, I get $378/mo.+tax, so that's not too far off.

Do you know the selling price or CAP cost? You are putting up MSDs to lower the money factor. What money factor are they using?

    my apologies,

I am using 9 MSD's to lower the MF.

    The MF is .00008

    * ( Without MSD's the MF is .00098)

I do not know the cap cost. This was provided to my via email

With .00008 MF and 58% residual, I get a CAP cost of about $52,400, to get a payment of $499/mo.+8% tax.

With $1100 drive off, in addition to the MSDs, that looks pretty good.

The variables are correct. The calculations are correct, to the penny.
$700 is the base acquisition fee.

If you like the selling price, then you are good to go.

    39/10 numbers are .00087 and 60%.

With your prices, I get $462/mo plus tax.

What state and tax rate is this?

What does the $2300 cover, specifically?
