Sorry, we have no information on TrueCar quotes or what they might include or exclude.

Thank you for the info provided above. I am having a hard time with dealers in NJ giving me a selling price, they all play off THEIR rebate (which is actually less than the manuf offers) as what the car price is. Once they find out you have some knowledge, they go into stealth mode and throw junk at you. So putting together a concise equation I am fishing!

What trim level are you interested in?

There is a 1% difference in the residual between 12K and 10K

Lease cash is a factory to dealer incentive; use that knowledge to negotiate your best price.

@Michaell - thank you for sharing your knowledge. We are looking at the EX trimline on this vehicle.
$3000 lease cash is a huge incentive. I'm not getting pricing anywhere near $3000 discount. My best pricing on sale price is just under invoice values found on internet.

The lease cash is factory to dealer; they aren't required to disclose it. Use it to negotiate your best price.

$2205 down equates to just over $60/mo, so your true cost is about $265/mo. Not as good as before, but still a decent payment for a $26K car

We don't recommend that large of a down payment - only first payment and DMV or registration costs, are what we suggest.

The rationale for the large amount down is to get my monthly payments to be be at 250 a month. This is what I was told by the dealer and the Kia calculator corroborates.

Essentially 5K would be going towards the vehicle.

The down payment simply masks your true cost of the lease - $5000 is over $200/mo for 24 months, or $139/mo for 36 months.

If the car is stolen or totaled before the lease end, you will lose that up front money.

Also, NJ taxes the sum of the payments and collects that money up front. We suggest you add that into your monthly payment as well, for the same reason. You think Gov. Christie will refund you the unused sales tax you paid up front? Not likely.

If you have a $250/mo budget, I suggest you shop for less expensive vehicles.

Given the available lease cash, I think your final selling price can be better. In fact, ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost.
