Well, I got a TTS when I'd prefer a TTRS. Of course, my excuse is the TTRS came out nearly a year later and does cost quite a bit more.

@roadburner got a M235i instead of a M2; not sure what his excuse is

So maybe getting a V6 Mustang isn't as wingnut of a move as we thought....... on second thought, yes it is. I've driven a V6 Mustang; you really would be better off getting a Corolla S or Ford Ranger

Funny that the 2005-10 Mustang GT only had about as much hp as the V6 in 2011 but people still rag on the V6.
Have you driven the old Mustang V6? The current ones are either 4 cylinder turbo or V8 like your GT right?

As @roadburner put it, 50 steps, it's a compliment to the Ford V8 as much as it is a put down of the truck V6.

I base my review on rental driving experiences, not just HP ratings.

Can you please go lease another one and sell it again, please?

    Lol.
Would you like me to lease the same car or something else?
If you can replicate the lease/sell/profit on the same car, do it again... lol

I drove a 2005 Mustang 4.0 V6, 210 hp which by today’s standards is nothing. At the time it seemed fast but back then I was driving cars that didn’t even have 200hp.

I don’t recall the 3.7L being used in a truck. I do agree that to get any performance out of that engine most reviewers said you had to drive it like you stole it. A stick would be required.

Which old Mustang are you referring to, the 3.8L head blower or the 4.0L truck engine? Neither was even close to the 3.7L.

I think that’s why they dropped the V6 in the Mustang. The 2.3L turbo gave better hp numbers and much better low end torque. It is interesting how far engines have come when we can trash a 305hp motor as a dog.

I have a feeling I drove a rental around 2005-2010, so probably the 210 HP version you had, and also another rental first half of 2014, and it felt like the same exact V6 to be honest; definitely not a 305 HP version.

I remember thinking that my '03 Honda Accord Coupe V6 would embarrass the Mustang by much more than the 30 HP advantage the Accord has on paper would imply.

Also, being rentals, they were all slushbox automatics.

I went to school in the upper PNW in the 90s. Wranglers were extremely popular in that segment too - "Barbie Jeeps". Jettas were big too, along with Saturns.

Those convertibles have long been chick cars, but for some reason I didn't really associate the Jetta with being a chick car until the 1999-2004 models (Mk IV?)

My wife drives a 2013 and loves it. Does that perpetuate the stereotype?

I assume those BMWs, same for Volvo, are loaners. Always in that same mile range since once they hit (I think) 6k no longer qualify as new and have to be sold as used. And not leased.

My V70 was a demo/loaner, but sold as new even after 11K miles. The miles were priced in decently, and still qualified for new car rates. When I saw it posted after I traded it in, the Carfax actually came up as 1-owner, which I'm sure doesn't mean much on a 12 year old car with 192K.

I was surprised to hear dealers were reneging. they are the ones that put the deals out there. But if that becomes common it will sink the whole company. I had no trouble when I was taking a deal through them.

I may have mentioned it but I have an entry level Sony 65” I bought in November. It has far exceeded my expectations. I wanted an F or a G series but my kids have broke a few TVs already and was worried to spend the money on it. I really don’t think you can go wrong with that TV.

I am waiting for my old DLP in the basement to finally die, so I can move the old 52" Sharp (9 YO now) from the family room down, and get a new one upstairs. Though it still works great. Probably not going bigger than 60", but I do know it won't cost anywhere near $1,800. A waste of capability for us (we don't even use anything but the speakers on the TV).

I usually am all over the place, but at this point, I have zero clue what I will be doing when my lease is up. Could be anywhere from buying it out, to leasing nice, leasing cheap (and who knows what it would be) or buying something cheap or even a toy.

been looking at one for a few months, but haven't decided; one of guys in local cars/coffee swears by his and his water 'deionizer'
