But seriously, car looks great too 👌

    29 F for a low, tonight, here
You live in the frigid north, though. It's going to be a balmy 30 here.

For years I was a big fan of the Mr. Clean car wash system that was basically a combination foamy wash suds dispenser (not a cannon) that you used with a wash mitt, and a rinser that had a de-ionizing water filter so you didn't need to dry the car after. It really did work well but unfortunately they discontinued it.

I just used the old Turtle wash&wax but I’m getting tired of the residue it leaves on the windows. From the trouble I have getting it off the windshield it must be pretty durable.

Later in the season I’ll strip everything off with Dawn and reapply the Meguire’s Fast Finish.

I left the heat off at home... was watching the forecast. Luckily no freeze so I’m sure I’m ok but was worried about having to drive home or have someone go turn it on.

Unless you have sustained temperatures (for days and days) below 20 F, you'll be fine.

the wet spots on my deck had skim ice on them this morning when I let the dog out. and I have a pail for poop bags next to my garage (in the shade) and just now I put the morning bag into the pail, and the top had water on it from rain yesterday, and that was a sheet of ice. Nice and sunny now, but way too windy.

If the daily high temperature is moving above freezing, absolutely nothing to worry about. The heat coming off your refrigerator will take care of it. ;)

I found my local BB has a Sony X900F for cheap(<$1800). Have you had any experience with that set? I just hate to settle.</p>

RB...had the previous version. Stellar TV (as are all Sonys, IMHO). Gave it to my son when I got my other OLED. No issues whatsoever with it. Sony’s DSP is 2nd to none in the industry, I believe. That said, you’d be hard pressed to get me to trade out of my OLEDs (which Sony also uses LG’s panels for).

I walked out to get the paper in gym shorts and barefoot. Not bad. (even though 30 F). No frost.

    It's beautiful, today.

At a minimum; I'd go OLED but I'm still concerned about burn-in.

My friend picked up a 55" LG OLED from Costco, this year.

$1500, which is crazy. But, the picture is fantastic.

It rained in Louisville yesterday, which brought out scores of remarkably incompetent drivers; we drove up I-65 to run some errands and saw five accidents in the space of an hour. Funny thing; all the damaged vehicles were AWD or FWD; I can only assume that the accidents involving RWD cars must have been so extreme and violent that the damage wasn't visible from the road.
One hopeless fool was intent on proving his Explorer was the equal of any Wrangler- so he managed to flip it on its side without the need of an offset barrier impact.

What are you planning on using the TV for? I haven’t seriously thought about burn in on anything I’ve bought since my Pio Kurt Plasma days. And, even there, I really had nothing to worry about.

I did not get one of the name brand cannons because I wasn’t sure I was going to like it - the chemical guys and griots inserts for the pressure washer was like $85.

I ended up with this: Tool Daily Foam Cannon with 1/4... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HC898GM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Regarding using the pressure washer, the ryobi I bought came with several tip options for the wand. I use the middle power one to rinse the car and that’s it. The foam cannon controls the flow of water very well and it has very little pressure.

I thought the foam was BS, but it seems to really loosen things up and make for a slicker wiping surface with the wash mit.

For $17 I figured it was a worthwhile experiment. So far I’m pleased.

I’m impressed you’re getting it so quickly. Even with prime it took 2 weeks to get to the PNW because of how they were reprioritizing shipping of non-essentials.

I think finding any SUV that's less than 10 years old, under $10k that's AWD with around 60k miles would be a tall order here in the NW. This one is available, and with heated leather and a droptop.
