What's the lowest possible drive off that I should be seeking? (with zero down, zero cap reduction)
I've read here that the only things you should be paying for upfront is the first month's payment and DMV fees, but also that $1000 isn't enough to cover all fees.
Taking into account the current incentive that covers first month payment, how much can be expected for DMV fees? (I live in Los Angeles) .. Should there be any other fees that add to total drive off?
1.1% of MSRP is a good rule of thumb for CA DMV fees + $80 dealer doc fee.
Everything else is taxable and should be rolled into the payment (which is then taxed, monthly)
Assuming equal % discount is the fwd or quattro generally cheaper? I know the MF is lower on the FWD for some reason and the residual is higher on the quattro. Just wondering if anyone has done the math.
What a good lease price for an A4? for MSRP of 49000 ( that includes the conv +tech pkg) for 42 months / 10K per year? just wanted to be prepared for some numbers so I have some idea ... thx in advance
FWD or Quattro?
What trim level?
What state?
What is the selling price?
Quattro ... NJ .... Selling Price 45800 ( around there ) am not sure what is a good price ... thats where I need help ... need a rough idea to know what numbers ( Selling price / lease per month) to negotiate too and get a decent deal ... thank you
What trim level - Premium, Premium Plus or Prestige?
In general, 6% off sticker price is a good discount for Audi, before any incentives.
Premium Plus is the trim level ... is that SP a reasonable price ?
.00081 and 54% for 42/10.
With your MSRP and selling price, I get $519/mo before tax.
Your selling price is about 4.5% off sticker, when you back out the $1000. Might be another $500-750 you could negotiate.
Thanks for your help and quick response ... that price does not include tax+title, fees etc should I pay that upfront or roll it in ? ( approx 3300-3400 i would assume ) and should I pay anything else upfront ?
Only thing you should pay up front are the first payment and DMV costs -- add everything else to the lease payment.
For example, if you pay the tax up front and the car gets totaled, you think the state will refund the tax you paid for usage you didn't have? Hardly.
ok based on the SP ( the max they say will go down is another $300-$400) - Is that fair enough ? Also could you tell me what lease numbers should I be looking at if I do and do not roll in the tax/title/dmv fees.

Also what MF & Residual are you using ( should I try and find out what they are using ?)
Assuming equal % discount is the fwd or quattro generally cheaper? I know the MF is lower on the FWD for some reason and the residual is higher on the quattro. Just wondering if anyone has done the math.
Assuming that Quattro is $2K higher MSRP than FWD, and the CAP cost is 95% of MSRP, the FWD is about 9-10% cheaper to lease.. but, most of that can be attributed to the lower initial MSRP.
All actual prices being equal (same MSRP and selling price), the Quattro would be just a tiny bit cheaper ($5/mo. or so).
Don't have specific car and price yet, but assuming MSRP of $54K (technology, sport, etc.), what is the sweet spot of leasing rate I should be aiming for. I can do 36/10 or longer term, either 10 or 12k miles.
I am thinking maybe at least 57% RV, 5-6% off MSRP cost, and MF around .00079 would be a good deal but not sure. Also, would consider single payment.

What do you recommend as my goal.
.00061 and 53% for 36/12 on Prestige Quattro. Add 1% for 10K
Single pay lease would bring the MF down to .00005
Might be better off getting a Premium Plus with the right options - 36/12 residual is 57%
Would need a specific MSRP and selling price to figure the payment.

Adding the acquisition fee to the sale price, I get $487/mo. on the 12K/yr lease. The base MF is .00061. If I use that, I get your payment almost exactly. $2079 seems pretty close for taxes and fees.

Thank you! I wasn't sure if I 'struck the right number', but your input has given me confidence in going ahead with the 12k.
Would you think the 15k/36 month for $512/month is decent? Leaning towards the 15k due to work driving distance, or would it be better to stick with 12k/36 months and then pay whatever extra mileage we have?
I believe in calculating the difference, the extra 9k miles comes out to be at a rate of 12 cents/mile if I go with the 15k/36month vs. 12k/36month lease. I am not sure what the dealer charges per mile or whether that's an Audi standard charge...so was hoping to get your opinion.

The change to 15K/yr is strictly a 2% residual in reduction. Should change the payment by $28/mo.+tax. If you need the mileage, you should definitely take it. 15,000 more miles for just $1000. That's cheap.

Given that you'll drive only 22,500 miles in the lease, it may not make sense to get AudiCare. That's only two services. Find out how much your dealer will charge for them, then you can do a proper cost analysis.

I noticed the Edmunds lease calculator doesn't make an adjustment from 12K to 10K. Is that normal?
Also looking for MF and RV in MD for Premium Plus Quattro AWD. Been trying to get it from the dealer but they don't seem to want to send it to me.

On-line where? Audi website? Or, dealer website?
Fwd. I found it on audi website. The dealer rates are a little higher but I havent bargained yet as I dont know what price I should aim for. What is a good and realistic lease for this?

Everything else is taxable and should be rolled into the payment (which is then taxed, monthly)

MSRP 42735, Sales Price 37770. $1,000 cap cost from Audi on incentive
MF: .00061/resid. 58%
rolling in bank fee and doc fee of 1174, leaving $272 due at signing for sales tax and DMV. Audi making first payment.
on 36/10k payment is $430 mth.
if pay all fees up front ($1514) then payment is 393.
competitive?
If so, my number is about the same.
I like it with just $272 due at signing.
The only way I see to make it cheaper is to utilize Multiple Security Deposits.

Assume nothing. Negotiate your best price (6% off sticker for Audi is a good start), then deduct the incentive.

$1000 marketing allowance and complimentary first payment.
6% or more off sticker, before incentives, is a good price.

Are December numbers different than Nov: - A4 Quattro Prestige with Driver Assist 36/7500, and is AudiCare worthwhile for 3yr lease (especially wth my expected low mileage)?
Thanks Much for help!
Given that you'll drive only 22,500 miles in the lease, it may not make sense to get AudiCare. That's only two services. Find out how much your dealer will charge for them, then you can do a proper cost analysis.

Also looking for MF and RV in MD for Premium Plus Quattro AWD. Been trying to get it from the dealer but they don't seem to want to send it to me.
