BTW, I asked this question of a dealer and the response was September 2018. That seems like a bit of a stretch to me but I have no history with Audi. It looks like the current model was available 03/2016 so I'm hoping the 2018 will be available around that time.

Dealer is telling me their math is correct but I can't account for $8 difference between their deal and your info. More so, I gave you a 9.5% tax rate and they calculated with a lower 8.75% which I still qualify for. They sent over a "worksheet."

Disposition fee is paid at the end of the lease, if you don't lease another Audi. Ignore that fee.

Ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost - if different than the selling price of $40,243, ask them to explain the difference. That should clear things up.

If it's the dealer, and it's 3.5% APR, then look for another dealer. That one is trying to massively markup the money factor.

I just write down what happened to me here. At first, the dealer gave me a list of banks and assume my APR is 3.5%. Then calculated out price above. Then, cause I am student, they told me I maybe qualify for a discount from Audi Fiance Center and the Audi Fiance Center is pending my rate. They can't told me exact number today. The dealer asks me to come back tomorrow after fiance center reply my rate. Another question is, I am not sure if Chicago has a special tax(8.5%) for leasing car. This messy calculation drives me crazy. Do need help. Thanks

If you want to know the APR corresponding to a MF you have to multiply by 2400 (don't ask me why), therefore for the base MF which is .00043 the corresponding APR would be 1.032% so essentially they are ripping you off.

Tell them to apply the base MF or look for another dealer.

If your credit score is 650, and you are in Chicago, this car is going to be very, very expensive to lease.

Looks like the $1740 covers the fees and first payment.
At the base MF of .00043, the payment would be $407/mo.+tax.

Looks like the money factor is marked up, as you noted, or the CAP cost is actually higher than stated.
Single pay lease would take the MF down by .00060. But, I would work on negotiating down to the base MF, before considering that.

The residual is set by the bank. The dealer can't change or negotiate that.

I agree - politely ask the dealer for the adjusted capitalized cost. This will give us all the numbers to run the lease payment.

If you can get 12% off sticker, that would be amazing. We normally suggest 6%.
