    Hello Sir,

Still trying to make this deal happen. I'm going to pursue a bigger discount off MSRP but here's where we are at so far.

2017 A4 Ultra Season of Audi Package
    + Convenience
    + Heated Front Seats
    + Manhattan Grey Metallic
    + $950 Destination

    MSRP $40775
    Discount -$3603
    Sales Price $37,172

    +$795 Lease Acquisition

    CA Sales Tax 8.75%
    53% residual ($21,611)
Money Factor 0.72% APR or 0.0003
    36mos / 15k

$1,500 down includes first months payment and $459 registration & fees.

    $498/mo including tax

Just confirming these numbers line up. I will still push for a sales price discount closer to 12% which is reasonable for Southern California.

Thank You again for your time and assistance.

.00030 and 53% are the correct numbers.

If I add the acquisition fee to the selling price, I get $472/mo plus tax. What tax rate do you have?

If you can get 12% off sticker, that would be amazing. We normally suggest 6%.
    Sales tax is 8.75%

I went back to dealer today and was able to negotiate an 11.8% discount on MSRP.
I then added Audi Care which bumped the residual up to 54%.
I rolled acquisition into lease but offered first mo, tax title license and Audi Care upfront which came to around $1671

Monthly payment was $461 including tax for 15k / 36 . All in all I think it was a great deal. Sadly I left it on the table as the offer for my trade was far too low.

I couldn't have come this far if not for this forum and your help. I didn't get a car but I'm ok.

Sorry to hear that you couldn't get the deal you wanted. If there is a CarMax close by, take your car there and see what they offer you.

Also, check the "Real World Trade in Values" thread on the forums. Local experts can put a value on your car, as well.

I'm actually taking the vehicle to CarMax tomorrow afternoon. I made the appt as soon as I got home. Thank you for the heads up on the other forum!

Again, I'm glad I was able to strike a good deal on the prospective new vehicle but I was ok with walking. Patience and common sense is just as important as good information.

I really can't thank you enough.

hello, I leased a 2017 Audi A4 Premium plus with tech package. sticker price 48500.
Registered in Albany NY (8% tax )
    36 months
    10k miles /year
    residual - 28159
I did 2500 down ( including tax , reg, 1st month and everything else )
    monthly payment 430$
Please let me know if this is a decent deal or a bad deal. One of my friend wants to take the same deal so just want to find out whether this is ok or it can be reduced.

For Audi, we suggest 6% off sticker.

Relative to MSRP, it does look good, but without all the numbers, we can only guess.

    ---------------------------------------------------
The sticker price was 48500, The sale price was 43900 after 1 month of negotiations ;)

When is the Adj. Cap Cost not needed for lease calculations? If I decide to pay all the fees up front, is this info relevant?

Yes, in that case the adjusted cap cost is the negotiated selling price.

Does the dealer or Audi Financial Services determine excess mileage fee? One offer listed excess as .15 and new dealer lists .25

    This is for a 2017 PP 15k per 36mos.

.15 if you buy the extra miles up front, .25 if you pay for them at the end of the lease.

Went to another dealer today to give it one more shot. I was able to strike a deal for a Premium Plus w/ Sport Package and 19" Wheels at 13% off MSRP.

Residuals and MF checked out perfectly. Our calculations were only off by .17 cents per month after tax. I paid first month, acquisition fee, reg / tax title license upfront and AND despite this vehicle MSRP'ing for $3625 MORE than the config you helped me with, I was able to get my monthly payment WITH AUDI CARE for $485 including tax.

    I'm a happy camper.

Thank You very much for all your time and support.

If you recently sold or traded in a BMW for a Mercedes, Jaguar, Volvo, Audi or Cadillac vehicle, a reporter would be interested in speaking with you about your experience. Please send a note to PR@Edmunds.com no later than 5 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017. Thanks!

Long time reader, first time poster!

I'm planning to lease a 2017 Audi A4 - Quattro - Premium Plus in Atlanta, GA in the next 60 days. I'd like to alert dealers there to keep an eye out for a car with the color and package combination I want.

What would fair MF and residual % be for that car?

Would you recommend I just order it - or wait for a car that gets close to my combination of color / packages that I want?

    Thanks!

    .00043 MF and 54% residual for 36/15.

You can almost always make a better deal on a car that is already on the lot.

Question - when I'm talking to dealers - what details do I want them to give me about the lease? Obviously the price - but is there a list of factors in the agreement that I can just proactively ask up front from them so I can easily compare offers?

The residual is fixed; no need to discuss that.

Tell them, politely, that you won't sign any lease deal where the MF has been marked up. You don't have to tell them the value; they already know.

Best thing to do is to ask them for the adjusted cap cost - you want to only pay the first payment and DMV costs at signing. Everything else rolls into the payment. That way, you can tell if dealers are trying to bury junk fees into the offer.

The MF's the dealers are quoting are way off. One dealer quoted .0012 and the other dealer quoted .0009
Will they bring the MF down if I ask?

@ak_niner If they don't, find another one.

It's part of the negotiation. Prepare for them to lie about it.

    Hello,

Just wanted to see whether this lease deal seemed reasonable:
    Texas, Premium Quattro with convenience/18" wheel package/front seat heat + AudiCare, 15k miles/42mon, $3000 down for $586/mon (after taxes/fees)
    MSRP is $43,425
    Base/negotiated price 40,000
    I have very good/excellent credit

    Thanks!

What is the adjusted cap cost, if the taxes and fees are rolled in?

What is the breakdown of the $3000 up front?

    .00063 and 50%

Your prices result in a $474/mo payment.

Thanks. Adjusted cap cost is 42865. The 3000 is split into my first monthly payment and remainder to capitalized cost reduction.

With that adjusted CAP, I get $544/mo.

    I'd verify the money factor.

Ugh, my prestige is still in port under the sales hold, waiting for it to be released to the carrier. Until then, would love the February MF + Res numbers (in case they're better than the ones I have locked in when I ordered) for southern California, FWD Prestige A4, 36 months/7500 Miles per year. Any incentives for So. Cal this month? Thanks so much...

Thanks so much. So weird how the western region gets the shaft on incentives.

Thank you very much! Two more questions: do you know if the pull ahead program can be combined with complimentary 1st payment AND the bonus cash and loyalty cash? In IL, what is sales tax based on? The total of the lease payments or the MSRP minus the residual value? Thanks again!

Don't know how the programs combine.

I believe IL taxes the sum of the monthly lease payments, which includes the rent charge.

If you live in Cook County (or the City of Chicago, I don't know which), the monthly lease payment is subject to the local sales tax.

Looking for feedback on this lease offer for a Prem Plus Quattro in Georgia. They are getting the car from another dealer out of state.

    MSRP: $49,125
    Negotiated price: $44,991
    Sales Tax: $3,205
    Doc fee: $599
    GA Warranty Fee: $3
    GA License: $26
    Out of state license: $150
    GA title: $18
    Total Price: $48,992

    36 months / 12,000 miles - lease payment of $681.79

The sales person said they are using .00043 as the money factor but that doesn't seem right, it should be more like $631 instead.

Anyway, curious to hear if 1) you think the MF is off; 2) there is room to negotiate on the price; 3) other fees you think could be negotiated.

    Thanks!
