    Hi there,

Can I get RV and MF for A4 premium plus Quattro for 36/12 and 36/10 in IN,WA and IL please?
Also is there any incentive this month in any of those 3 states?
Does MSD reduce MF by 0.00005 each?

    Thanks!

We show .00030 and 57% for 36/7.5 on the Ultra SoA

Texas normally taxes the entire selling price, but there may be tax credits offered by your dealer to reduce the amount of that obligation.

Our suggestion would be to roll everything but the first payment and DMV costs into the lease to minimize your out of pocket costs.

    What does the $4000 cover?

Not really sure, I asked and they said it was just a payment reduction tactic. forgot to mention it was a 36/10 quote

Don't do that. If the car is stolen or totaled, you would lose that money. It simply makes the monthly payment look better. It doesn't reduce the total cost for the lease.

Confirm the adjusted cap cost with only the first payment and DMV costs due at signing.

Can you help me out here...I have an offer for $409 a month and $3000 total down (including tax(NJ 7%)/title/reg and everything) for a Season of Audi A4 (45,575 MSRP) @ 15,000 miles per year.

Is this a good deal? I am not sure of what the negotiated sales price just is what I was offered. Want to make sure I am making the right move.

    Thanks in advance!

You want to negotiate the price, not the payment.

Find out what that is, and we can go from there.

Also, have the dealer provide you with a full breakdown of the $3000 up front.

    What lease term?

Sale Price is $39,850 down from $45,950 (not $45,575). $3000 is a down payment on the lease including tax title and registration.

Lease is 3 years at 15,000

Lease is 3 years at 15,000

Assuming this is a Quattro SoA, the numbers are .00043 and 56%

Using your MSRP and selling price, I get a payment of $420/mo

We recommend rolling everything but the first payment and DMV costs into the lease payment; your payment will be higher, but you won't risk the taxes and fees being pre-paid if the car is stolen or totaled.

How does the SoA differ from the standard Ultra Premium Plus FWD? The MF and RV for the latter is .00030 and 54%. Is the MF and RV the same?

I'm still trying to understand all the various taxes and fees, and when they're applied. Here are the numbers I got from a dealer (I'm not trying to determine if the deal is good, but how the values are calculated):

    Capitalization:
    MSRP: 47,575.00
    Discount: 4,500.00
    Selling Price: 43,075.00
    Doc Fee: 80.00
    Acquisition Fee: 795.00
    License Fee: 371.00
    GROSS CAP: 43,075.00

    Cap Cost Reduction:
    Customer Cash: 398.00
    Total Rebates: 1,500.00
    Amount Applied Upfront: 1,898.00
    NET CAP: 43,075.00

    Shouldn't the Net Cap Cost be 41,177? (Gross Cap - 398.00 - 1,500.00)

Also, they listed Upfront Charges as 1,350.75, which I assumed meant the Doc/Acq/Lic fees, but that didn't total right.

There is a regular FWD and the Ultra FWD - the Ultra has the detuned engine. Both are available as Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige trims.

Can you clarify which numbers you want?

All Ultra trim levels have the MF at .00030. The SoA residual is 1% higher than the P+.

36/15 residuals are 52% for P+ or 53% for SoA.

Net cap is selling price + taxes and fees not paid upfront - cap reduction.

I think the rebate is applied to the negotiated price - my guess is that it's already included in the total $4500 discount from sticker.

    Confirm with the dealer.

    Greetings -

First, much appreciation to those providing the extremely valuable information in these forums. I'm looking for residual/MF on a 2017 Audi A4 ultra premium plus with the technology package. From what I can tell, it appears to be 0.00043 and 57% (58% if I do audi care?). Would be 10k/36mo. Anyone have any thoughts on the value of audi care for shorter mileage leases? And are folks still doing 1st month and $1000 marketing allowance?

    Thanks!

What state? Audi incentives vary by region.

The Ultra is the FWD version with the detuned engine (190HP vs 252HP, I believe).

The numbers for that model would be .00030 and 55%; 56% with AudiCare

We think AudiCare makes sense, even with 10K per year.

Hello Michaell, I was wondering if you could look at this lease offer I received. I know I can do better, but I was hoping you could assist me with the numbers. My request was for 36 months, 12,000 miles per year. Here is what a dealer in Illinois gave me on 2/28:

2017 Audi A4 Quattro premium plus w/automatic, with sport package, cold weather package, 19 inch wheels, monsoon gray, and gray wood trim

    MSRP $47,125

    discounted price: $41,925

    7% sales tax

    registration, title,
    doc fees total $393.15

    lease acquisition fee

money down including first payment, reg, title,
    doc fees = $987.15

    monthly payment = $584

I asked them what residual and money factor they were using to get that payment, and the dealer said 54% and .00083, which they claimed was set by Audi.

However, I recall that on 2/21 you posted that the residual and money factor for 36 mo/12k mi should be 56% and 00043. When I told them they were inflating the money factor and said it should be .00043 they freaked and repeatedly asked where I got those numbers. (I didn't tell)

What is your take? What monthly payment should I be getting with this offer?

    Thank you in advance!

54% is the 36/15 residual, which they may have quoted you by mistake. 56% is correct for 36/12 this month, as well.

I doubt that the discounted price is the final cap cost - ask the dealer for that number. If you are paying all your taxes and fees up front, I get $461/mo.

And, for future reference, don't quote the actual MF - just tell them you won't sign a deal where the MF is marked up. They know what the base rate is. Giving them the number will freak them out, as you've noticed. And, it invites uncomfortable questions about sources. :sunglasses:

"And, for future reference, don't quote the actual MF - just tell them you won't sign a deal where the MF is marked up. They know what the base rate is. Giving them the number will freak them out, as you've noticed. And, it invites uncomfortable questions about sources." :sunglasses:

Thank you for the advice, Michaell! I will negotiate accordingly. Your assistance is most appreciated!

I recently test-drove the A4 but am a little hesitant given it doesn't lease that great; the sales person, after sensing my hesitation, showed me a sheet of A4s that had been driven as loaners for about 6 months. They all had about 5,000-6,000 miles. He said they were all being offered at 499 per month with 2,500 out of pocket (including tax, fees), 10k miles and 36 months.

I don't have the actual MSRPs but could probably obtain. My bigger question is how to evaluate a lease like this in terms of residual (assuming the mf would be the same as the new A4s?). Are there any general rules you know for this 2017 A4? I think they were all Season of Audi versions, so the sticker was probably ~$45k. Too many unknowns? Almost seems easier to lease a new one, but if a deal can be had here, I want to evaluate it.
Any thoughts? I like the TLX too but the 9-speed transmission is a little wonky.
    Thanks for the help Michaell!

Loaner cars have their residual adjusted for the miles - Audi charges .15 per mile ($750-900). However, you should be able to get a bigger discount from sticker on a loaner car than one with < 100 miles on it.

Often, leases of loaners can be a great deal, if you work the numbers right.

So take the residual value of the model (say the Premium) and subtract mileage*.15, so the payment goes up to reflect the mileage, correct? Then the value of leasing a loaner is getting aggressive with the discount off the original MSRP? I assume you can't qualify for any incentives? Any other factors I should be considering? Are all of the other upfront costs, like the destination fee still valid?

If the car has not been titled (and loaners usually haven't), then all the new car leasing terms and incentives still apply.

Yes, you want a bigger discount on a loaner versus a car with 0 miles to offset the reduced residual.

Hi there, saw the post about the norcal prestige back in Feb, but wondering if numbers have changed for:
2017 A4 prestige quattro (36/15k and 36/12k). I'm also in the SoCal region if it matters.

Thanks so much for all your help.

Finally got my turn in date for my VW so I am looking for MF and RV for 2017 A4 Premium Quattro with Season of Audi in Maryland. I am going with AudiCare as well. 36/10K. I am seeing .00043 and 58% but wanted to make sure that it didn't change for March. Is there a expectation of new figures for March coming soon?
