Starting to shop and interested in what lease terms (MF, resid, etc) I should expect for the following: 2017 A4 2.0 quattro, Premium trim, convenience package, ($40,300 MSRP). 36 mos, 7.5k mi/yr, southern California, 817 FICO 8. Any idea whether it will make a difference going in May vs. June? Thanks in advance.

.00045 MF and 57% residual $1000 bonus cash.
Current program expires at the end of May. So, it could make a difference, but can't tell you for sure, or which way it might go.
With 0 down and acquisition fee paid upfront the monthly payment (incl. MA tax) is $565. They also agreed to pay the last month payment for my current S4 lease ($455).
Thoughts? Could I do better somehow?
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
I'll assume Quattro.
MF is marked up - .00045 is the base rate.
What is the adjusted cap cost?
$0 down or $0 out of pocket?
Thanks for your response.
It is a Quattro.
I am not sure about the adj cap cost (I can try to find out).
It is $0 down but I have to pay $1500 ($895 BANK FEE, $399.75 Doc Fee, $135 Plates & Reg) plus first month's payment.

Our suggestion is to add the bank and doc fees to the cap cost and make them part of the payment.
Gross cap cost on the contract is calculated as $42,472 + $895 (acquisition fee) = $43,367
The $1750 rebate was applied toward drive off costs:
Cap cost reduction $683 + Taxes on cap cost reduction $60 + first month payment $495 + vehicle license fee $276 + registration fees $112 + doc fee $80 + transfer charge $29 + California tire fee $9 + some other misc fee "doc ta" $7 = Total $1750
Gross cap $43,367 - cap reduction $683 = Adjusted cap cost $42,684
Adjusted cap $42,684 - Residual (57%) $27,434 = Depreciation $15,251 + Interest (MF 0.00045) $1,135 = Total base payments $16,386 / 36 months = Monthly payment before tax $455 + California tax (9%) $40 = Total monthly payment $495
Questions are: 1) Is this a good deal? 2) Any hidden charges the dealer is pulling? 3) Does the rebate usually get applied to drive off fees, and not factor into the gross cap cost?

Hmmm, there is a small error in your math.
I show $15,932.90 of depreciation, not $15,251.
I get a total payment of $517.14/mo, tax included.
New to Leasing. Have negotiated a 12% discount off Sticker for a 2017 A4, Premium Plus, Tech Package. Sticker of $48,995. So my price is $43,115. In Mass. Looking for 36 month, 15,000 lease. What would the MF and Residual be? Any way to estimate the monthly payment if I put $3,000 down?

Assuming quattro:
.00045 MF and 53% residual Need to know the adjusted CAP costs including all fees, to calculate a payment.
Hi Kyfdx. I'm not sure the total adjust Cap cost but I've figured out how to calculate the lease payments by estimating these at $2,000. All I needed was the MF and Residual. Just curious why the residual is .53 and not .55 as is stated in some of the other posts here? Is it because of my state? The guy from Allentown, PA has .55 on a 15,000 mile lease

Without tracking down that post, the SOA Select trim has a 2% higher residual. Maybe, that's it.
Hi, I'm looking at a 2017 A4 Quattro s tronuc AWD. Can you give me your advice on the following deal? $0 down, but I can always put money down later to lower price but someone told me to always negotiate on a $0 down to get clear numbers...?
Not sure if this is a good deal.... they are trying to get me to lease it but I have never leased and don't know what to expect. Thanks for any advice/info! FYI- I am in Northern California ... tax rate is 7.75%

When you calculate payments on a loan, you don't add in the finance charges. You use an amortization calculator.
$49,819 at 2.9% APR for 60 months should be $892.97/mo. That would be with just first payment due at signing. Seems strange that they would be $13/mo less, but they may have you paying DMV fees upfront.
I wouldn't suggest you lease, if you aren't inclined to do so. Their isn't an amazing lease program, so no need to do so, to save money. Your payment would be less, of course, but not necessarily cheaper in the long term.
To get solid numbers, ask for the "amount financed" on that 60 month term, and how much out of pocket on delivery. The term "$0 down" isn't as straight forward as you might think.
Also, the 72 month term comes with a 3.40% APR, so I would avoid stretching it out.
As far as the selling price? There is a $1000 incentive from Audi on this vehicle, so the effective discount is $2375, or about 4.8% from MSRP. There might be another $500-$1000 to work with (but, maybe not).
If you are trying to save money, it always helps to get quotes from other dealers, and don't be shy about letting them know you are shopping.
And I received a second quote, however, this one is for a Ultra Premium Plus with a MSRP of $43.825. Could I please get some feedback on this one as well? I'd love to know what you guys consider the better deal is. The difference between Ultra Premium Plus and Premium Plus does not matter to me. I would actually prefer the better gas mileage. Please let me know and thanks for your help!
@derbs2017 There isn't a lot of difference between the two deals, other than one dealer has a $900 dealer fee and the other one is $600. (both ridiculous... welcome to Florida!) But, I don't see where the Ultra quote gave you the $750 loyalty rebate you received on the other quote? That would lower the payment by $20+/mo. I like the ZERO out of pocket structure on the Ultra deal, rather than $2000 upfront.
Also, taking the AudiCare is a no-brainer for $12/mo.
Thank you for the feedback. I'm on the same page. The Ultra is no money out of pocket and better gas mileage. They're also including Audi Care in both leases. $2000 up front over the term of the lease is $50/month. So really the Ultra is at $579/month and the Non-Ultra is at $628/month if I negotiated back for Zero $0 up front.
Would you ever consider using a auto lease consultant or a auto lease negotiator?
Me, specifically? No.
Transacting a lease is no harder than making a purchase -the math is different, but not difficult. Once you have the numbers - we're happy to provide them to you - and you're working with a transparent dealer, it's pretty easy to determine if you have a good lease deal or not.
Why pay $300-500 (or more) to someone else to run a calculator?

Ask the dealer for the "adjusted cap cost" - this will be the selling price plus any fees you are not paying up front.
.00045 and 57% for 36/7.5
That is a strong discount, but I wonder if the dealer is marking up the MF.

I get $533/mo, using your prices and .00095 MF, and assuming 9% tax.
MF bump is costing you $35/mo.
And, ask the dealer what adjusted cap cost they are using, and how they arrived at that number from the selling price.

It really doesn't matter how they apply the $1750, if your intention is to drive-off with zero out of pocket. It all works out the same in the end.
