I passed on a 940 turbo wagon last year cause the mileage was just obscene, over 300k indicated and was also TMU, this is a little more reasonable but not a turbo or wagon. 😕

that is frighteningly ratty. And it is sad he missed the opportunity to ask $940.

Tried to find a year-old Legend coupe like that in 1990. Could never get one quite down to my price range. Ended up with an '84 911 Targa, and kept driving my '82 Accord hatch as a daily driver until 1994.
The burgundy 08 with SAP is probably the winner of the group there. Swap in the seats from a wrecked civi Vic or Grand Marquis and run it another 100K.

@tjc78, Timing was never right. I'm not a LEO, but a lot of people think I am. One of the reasons I bought a red Explorer, they think maybe I'm the fire chief.
Street Appearance Package. Civilian grill, full wheel covers, civi door handles with chrome and a few other details.
You can see the differences between the burgundy and the white one.
Ah. Is the non-closing hood part of the appearance?

I can see why you said that because the interior is rough. I'm surprised they leave the police equipment like the divider between the front and rear compartments in place.
In the Panther world it’s extremely common to buy units like this and swap interiors and features with the civilian units. Wheels are another common swap.
Every department is different. Some pull everything out, others leave things behind. The P71s are great cars if you like to add gadgets, stereos etc. They have auxiliary wiring harnesses from all the police gear you can tap into.
If I had more time I wouldn’t mind buying one and tinkering with it. Believe it or not if you get one that has the 3.55 gears out back, with a premium fuel tune they can actually be pretty quick.

The driver might not like that much.
Stelantis should do one of these in the current Challenger.

Missing a few options but I’d rock it. When I was in Montana years ago they didn’t appear to use salt so maybe it is not rusty underneath.

Yes it’s a shame. The best driving models were the 03-11 but the interiors did suffer. I’d say 95-97 had the best interiors of the post box years.

I want a 900 but I think I would take a turbo over a six cylinder. Probably just depends on what else was on the car.
Going the other direction. If I had a place to put it.

I’d love an 1800ES but that one will take cubic bales of money to restore. Needs everything.

You never see them like this anymore
Cool history/engine but needs a lot of love
Too bad it doesn't have the modular components
People in that glorious land known as north Idaho are often not linked to reality
Getting rare, perhaps ahead of the market
Also getting thin on the ground, kind of cool that it survived pretty intact
This got me going a little, I was into Model Ts when I was a kid, and this along with the 1909-10 coupe are the high rarities. Such a formal bodystyle, would have looked old fast
Now uncommon late 90s stuff carrying healthy asking prices now
Nice 4 wheeled grandfather clock, maybe worth it if roadworthy, maybe could be had for a little less
I like the look with those ancient blackwalls, gives it a time warp feel
Almost seems like a fair deal these days
No shortage of character, I assume that's a good statement about the heater

That thing does look like a well-done conversion. Could be a fun project for someone not hoping to make a profit, I'd like to see it back on the road.
