I get $547/mo (tax included) with those numbers.

Confirm the adjusted cap cost - might be some fees added in there that is bumping up the payment.

Without knowing the MSRP and adjusted cap cost (selling price + taxes and fees), there is no way to answer that question.

The 36/15 lease numbers are .00119 and 55% for the Signature trim.

I have seen hardly any of these on the road. Plenty of CX-5s, but none of these. Apparently they are selling well however. Given the overall slow in the auto market for July, do we think they might start applying discounts soon?

They are selling quite well. I just don't think there are a lot that have made it to dealer lots.

One production ramps up, I suspect they will be more common.

My lease on my Mazda 3 runs out in February 2017. I'm quite under the milage limit I signed with that lease. Will likely upgrade to the CX-9. Is there a "best/better" time to do that between now and end of lease in 2/17?

Perhaps at the end of the calendar year.

I've heard folks mention that the week between Christmas and New Years as the "super bowl" of car buying.

I don't know if Mazda has a formal 'pull ahead' program, but you may be able to get the dealer to waive the last payment or two on your current lease as part of the deal.

And, by then, the bloom may be off the rose and the lease numbers on the CX-9 will be better.

10K/yr is the lowest. .00119 MF and 58% residual for 36/10.

Got a quote today with just a base write up on a GT FWD, MSRP 41425, final price after discounts/rebates/taxes and trade allowance is 36553. They are saying a 36/10 lease payment would be 439, but using a few different calculators and the .00119/ 59% I'm coming up with more around $408. attached a pic of the numbers, the $439 is under $1K down, but GM signed another paper saying price is with $0 down. and do you know what trade allowance is vs trade difference?

I don't know the difference between trade allowance and trade difference - ask the dealer.

FWIW, there is a difference between "up front money" and "down payment" when it comes to a lease.

I don't see the bank fee listed anywhere ($595 for Mazda). That could be the difference in payments.

I see where they waived the junk fees - how nice of them.

Thanks, I just wanted to make sure I was getting my numbers right so when we go in to actually make the deal I can figure if they are going to try to hide something somewhere to make the payment $439 (I told them max payment I wanted was $430..i know not the best thing to do)

I'm thinking the extra in the payment will come from all the "up front money" they are probably going to want.

VA and I believe it's 4.5%, I know VA taxes are paid on the purchase price on a lease rather than in each monthly payment.

OK, make sure the cap cost includes all the taxes and fees you are not paying up front. Gives the dealer less room (heck, no room) to hide anything.

A question of two parts. What are the current numbers for Texas. GT 10,000 mile 36 month lease.
Second part - why do the residuals tend to be higher for the lower level model. Surely the higher spec of the GT over the Touring make it more re-sellable?

Higher trim levels almost always have lower residuals - generally, because the standard options available become obsolete during the lease term.

Look at it this way - would you rather buy a 3 year old CX-9 with a nav system that is two generations old?

You use the lease numbers to calculate your own lease payment, to see how it matches up with the dealer's quote. But, you need to know the MSRP and selling price to use the money factor and residual percentage.

I would say really solid. Been trying to get one in SoCal and nobody wants to get that low. Not on the Signature. Best I got was $42,803 (which is invoice). Would you mind sending me your full deal in a pm. Would love to use it to negotiate with it over here.
