Hi! Could you please let me know current residual, MF, and incentives for the 2016 CX-9 Grand Touring, and also for Signature, for the San Francisco Bay Area?

I saw that two incentives might apply for me - $675 leasing bonus cash thorugh Mazda / Chase; and an extra 500 off for Amex card members. Does this mean that I should get a further $1175 automatically reduced from the lowest negotiated price? For example, I saw that wombats33 got a price of $37,800 for the GT AWD. I was wondering of that factors in incentives or not.

What lease term and how many miles per year are you looking for?

No information on those incentives, or whether they are available for a lease.

    Hi and happy holidays everyone!

Thanks to the info provided to me on this forum by Michael and other posters, after some negotiation and drama, I received a (seemingly all-in) offer from a local Mazda dealer.

GT FWD, MSRP 41070 for a CX-9 36/10, in NorCal, based on the lowest MF of 0.00053 and a residual of 55% (apparently the info Michael provided me earlier is based on a 39 month lease.

I was hoping originally for $440 a month price with 1500 down for fees etc. I had assumed at the time that maintenance was included. I just learned to my surprise that unlike VW and Mini, Mazda does not include any maintenance with their leases, and charges for this separately.

The dealer's offer after some drama and negotiation: $1500 down to cover 1st installment payment, acquisition etc (zero against cap cost). $470 a month, including full maintenance. Or, with the same $1500 down, they want $448 a month including taxes but without maintenance. As a standalone maintenance package, at list price, they're quoting ~$1400 for the 36 months.

Finally - not sure if it matters, but the quote above is from a dealer who does not actually have the car - they'd need to transfer it from another local dealer.

Questions: Is this a good deal - else what should I ask for? Should I buy the maintenance as stated above or are there better alternatives from 3rd parties? What's the deal with Mazda not including service & maintenance? Thanks for your help!

What is the MF and residual % for Mazda CX9 Signature in Texas? 36/15K. Thank you!

Do they offer lease up to 20,000 miles per year? Is it even worth leasing if I drive that much?

    Add 2% for 12K

    .00053 MF and 50% residual for 36/15.

They reduce the residual on a per/mile basis for the excess miles. Chances are, 20K/yr would be prohibitively expensive. Considering the Texas taxes on leases, I'd rather buy.

Thank you, Michael. They seemed to have come down from the $1400 maintenance when they rolled it into the leas at an additional $22 per month...is that a good deal for maintenance?

Hi Kyfdx: Per the dealer, cap cost without maintenance ($448 per month) is $37,193 and cap cost with maintenance ($470 per month) is $38,217...

Is there a way to find out the inventory by dealer for a region?

I think you can use the "make / model / year" pull downs at the top of the page. They link to the price tools, but I believe you can check inventory there as well.

I get about $438/mo., but don't know if your CAP cost includes tax, or if it's added on monthly.
I'd just pay for maintenance out of pocket, as you incur the costs.

Very few makes include maintenance at no extra charge.

Thank you, kyfdx! Just decided to consider the CX-9 Sport FWD at 36/10 in CA. Would you mind sharing the MF and Residual please?

Coming back to your previous question on on whether taxes were included in the $448, I believe it excludes sales tax as that was added on in the monthly installment. Regarding the $438, I wasn't able to make the numbers align, and in fact my numbers were in fact higher. The dealer didn't help me iron it out though I asked. Not sure where I went wrong:

    # Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring: Blue
    1 MSRP $41,070
    2 Invoice Price $39,012
    3 Discount % on MSRP 9%
4 Discount amount on MSRP $3,877.01
5 Negotiated Price (selling price) $37,193
    6 Down payment $ $0
    7 Factory incentives $675
8 Amount financed (Net Cap Cost) $36,518

    a Miles per year 10000
    b Residual Value % 55%
c Car Value at lease end $22,588.50
    d Money Factor 0.00053
    e Interest Rate: MF*2400 1.272
f Lease term in months 36

i Car value used up (Depreciation) $13,929
ii Car value used up / month (Depreciation fee) $386.93
iii Lease fees (on net cap cost + lease-end val) $31.33
iv Monthly Payment (Depreciation + Lease fees) $418.26
v Add sales tax @8.75% on Monthly Payment $36.60
vi Total Monthly Payment (including taxes) $455

I Documentation Fees (extra profit for Dealer) 80
II License & Registration (collected on behalf of state) 352
III Sales Tax on down payment $0.00
IV Electronic Fee for DMV 29
    V Any other? $0.00
    VI Acquisition Fees $595.00
    VII Security Deposit $0.00
    VIII First month payment $454.85

    Hello,
I got the quote below for a 12k miles, 36 month lease for a CX-9 AWD Touring + touring premium package. Zipcode 11550, NY.
    MV Selling Price: 40,415
    Negotiated Price: 38,082
    Residual: 23,844.85
    Monthly Payment: $414
    Zero down.
Tax, title and first month's payment, motor vehicle fees and acquisition fee are paid upfront.
    Implies a RV of 59%

What is the MF on this car? I have a spreadsheet based on the instructions on this site, but based on these numbers it seems like the money factor is nearly 0.
Does this sound like a good deal? Or should I be able to negotiate a lower price on the car?

.00053 MF, but we show 58% residual for 36/12.

    Even using 59% residual, I get $429/mo.

To get to $414/mo., it looks like 39/12, with .00047 MF and 57% residual.
39 months is the best term, this month.

    Mazda CX9 AWD Grand Touring

    market value selling price: 42,870
    negotiated: $39,125
    Residual: $24,007.20
    monthly: $417.31
Zero Down, but tax, title, 1st month upfront = $2878. This is the breakdown they gave me for the 2878:
Tax $1518 (my calculation of tax is $1403 - i think ny tax is 8.625)
    Acq: $595
    1st Month: $417
    DMV: $347

Are money factor and RV the same for all dealers? If I email another to beat that selling price, would they always use the same RV and MF?

Residual is fixed by the bank. So is the base money factor, but Mazda dealers can mark it up for extra profit.

.00053 is the 36 month money factor.
    39 months should be .00047.

Is $2000 the total amount due upfront?
Or, is it $2000 + acq.fee + tax, etc, etc.?

The Signature model is expensive to lease, and the extra 5000 miles/yr over a 15K/yr lease is adding about $2500 to your total cost, as well.

Michael and kyfdx: It is amazing how you help so many people, on a daily basis, across so many makes and models so selflessly. In this day and age, that is so rare.

I have got great deals on my last 3 leases thanks to you. Saved thousands, I'm sure.

We all owe you a huge, huge thank you. Merry Christmas, and a happy new year! Cheers!

What incentives can be stacked? Is lease cash the same as lease loyalty? Can these two be stacked? What about military rebate?

    Sorry... no info on that.

Lease cash is not the same as lease loyalty, though

Hello. Can I get this month's MF/Residual in the Chicago IL area for 36/12 and 39/12, Touring and GT? It seems from other posts that this month the 36/12 is a better deal than the 39/12, and the Touring is a better deal than the GT, correct? Thanks!

    39/12
    .00126 MF and 58%/56% residual for Touring/GT
