Hi is there any info on the different tiers for Honda leases seems like tier 1-3 is .0059. What are the different tiers and what credit is needed. Thanks

.00059 is good for tiers 1-8, then the MF jumps to .00153
What credit score would be need for the tiers in Honda finance? Is there any info on that
    Thanks again
Anything equal to or above 660 gets you the .00059

Signed off on lease today and not sure how I did....
2017 Honda Accord sedan sport, quick details of my lease are:

    - $1575 cash down for everything (TTL & 1st mo)
    - $235/mo tax rate of 8.65% included
    - 12k/36mo

Live in the Long Island, NY area. The 2017 models were moving fast and gave in thought I could have done a little better, any thoughts? Not sure if more info is needed to judge deal

MSRP and adjusted cap cost will help.

Did you pay the tax up front as part of the $1575, or did you add it to the monthly payment.

MSRP was $25,315.... not sure if tax was part of the $1575 or if it’s in the monthly payment just know it’s already included in those numbers.

is one way better than the other? Was not planning on buying car at end of lease

The tax gets paid upfront, no matter where they list it in your deal, so... no, it doesn't matter.

$275/mo. average monthly cost is a pretty good deal.

Thought I could have done better since dealership has a big stock of 17’s leftover in the trim and color I was looking at.... initially the money down was supposed to be 1350 and they said the DMV fee was $225 which I thought was more of a set number in NY. Thought NY DMV was like a set $75 to just transfer

$75 is the maximum dealer doc fee. DMV fees go directly to the state. Don't know if it's $225, but that certainly seems possible/reasonable.

do you have any idea what the sell price was before the 3300 lease cash?

    using your numbers:
    1575 + (35 * 235) = 9800 total lease cost

    you did fine

Plate transfer in NY is $75
    All NY doc fee's are...$75

NY Dmv , Plates / Reg range from $175 to $225 most dealers make just a couple of dollars for the service

hi could i get 2017 accord hybrid terms for 36 mos / 12k in CA (92612)? I'm new here so apologies in advance for any newbie questions but would appreciate any other pointers or previous thread that would help for negotiating.

Hey guys. I’ve got a dealer offer of $21,399.99 in Oklahoma City on a 2017 Accord Sport. $399.99 of that is a doc fee so I’d be paying 0.045% tax on the $21,000 purchase price. I’ve got 10,100.00 to put down, would pay the tax out of pocket and  finance the remaining $10,299.99 at 0.9% for 60 months. If my math is correct it tells me that the initial purchase price of the vehicle, doc fee, taxes and 60 months of 0.9% interest amount out to $23,361.80. Is this a good deal?  Please advise. Thanks.

looking to purchase a 2017 Accord Sport 4cy in Florida. Based on what I have read here I feel $22,500 total is the most I will pay. Should I tell the dealer I plan to finance through them even though I have already been approved at 3% my my credit union in order to negotiate a better price? I really don't want to finance through the dealer.

    Thanks

Why would you think the dealer would give you a better price when you are essentially eliminating their share of the finance charge they would receive from Honda Finance? As little as it is, it would be more than they get by you providing your own financing. And as kyfdx points out, you would be paying 3 times the interest charges by financing with your credit union.

I believe 660 is the cutoff but sometimes Honda will grant an exception if your overall payment record is good with creditors - if the dealer is motivated for a sale, they might go to bat for you with Honda Finance.

Correct.. It never hurts to see what the dealer can offer.
Your credit union can only offer rates from one lender.
The dealer has access to many, many lenders.

If they can't beat 3%, they can't beat it... but, it would be silly not to see what they can offer.

Would need the adjusted CAP cost to calculate a lease payment.

From what we hear, the tax rules change on January 1st. I'd do anything I could to wait until then to lease.

kyfdx - thanks for the insight. Yes, I read about the change in the lease tax rule. I would prefer to holdout until Jan 2 for the rule to take effect and still use the factory backed incentives. However, there might not be any '17s left. Hmm...

CAP cost is $21,750 for Accord SE. $22725 for Accord Hybrid (base)

Fair point - the 2017's are starting to become thin on the lots; hard to say how much inventory there will be in 5 weeks.

Posted earlier in the Accord prices forum, was advised to post the lease deal here for comment:

    Hey everyone,

In the market to lease a 2017 Accord Coupe EX-L V6. This is in the SF Bay area. using zip 94591 for tax.

    Msrp: $32,170

Negotiated it down to $26,000 after several back and forth emails. Only 1 out of 3 dealers responded with numbers, the others refused to give numbers over email. That price includes the $3,250 available lease cash incentive.

    Here's the deal:

    leasehackr.com/calculator?make=Honda&msrp=32150&sales_price=26000&months=36&mf=.00059&dp=0&doc_fee=80&acq_fee=595&taxed_inc=0&untaxed_inc=0&rebate=0&resP=51&reg_fee=400&sales_tax=8.375&memo=&monthlyTax_radio=true&miles=12000

    2017 Accord Coupe EX-L V6
    36 mos/12K per year

    Agreed upon Sales Price: $26,000
$595 Acquisition fee rolled into the lease payment

    Monthly Payment (Excl. Tax): $309
    Monthly Payment (incl. tax): $335

    Drive-Off: $821
    1st month payment: $335
    Down payment: $0
    Registration and doc fee: $480
Tax on cap cost reduction and fees: $7
    Leasehackr Score: 8.7 years
    Disposition Fee: $0
    Total Lease Cost: $12,129

    Would value everyone's opinions...thanks!

Migs - based on those numbers, that looks like a solid deal. I wasn't sure of the residual, so I used 51% and the payment came out within a couple dollars of the 335.
Michaell and kyfdx will probably come along to confirm the residual but you're getting a decent deal if you pull the trigger. That's a lot of car for 335 a month incl tax!

Also, keep in mind if you hold out for a 2018, the 2017s will most likely be gone and you will not be able lease a 2018 in this same configuration for anywhere near this good of deal for quite some time.
Gman, thanks for your opinion, this is great news! With yours and others' views that this is a solid price, now I can throw it to the one salesperson who says they will beat all offers, assuming she has a similar vehicle.

I used 51% residual and .00059 MF with the leasehackr calculator.

Kydfx - your number is a little lower - looks like the leasehackr calc is a little off?

All in all, thanks for all your help.
If you have someone willing to beat the $26k sales price which includes the $595 acquisition fee, that's actually more than $4k below invoice because dealers don't normally include that in the sales price - you need to jump on that.

The 50% residual is probably spot on because Michaell and kyfdx have all the good scoop on residuals and money factors.

Let us know how this goes - I'm jealous - that's a great car that you're about to get a great deal on - don't let them pull any shenanigans.

When you are shown the lease agreement, it should show an agreed value of about $26k, plus total fees of about 1200, minus your due at signing about 822 for an adjusted cap cost of around 26,378. These figures are approximate and might vary a little - if they vary a lot, you need to ask why. Using these figures, a money factor of .00059, a residual of 50%, sales tax rate of 8.375%, your payment should be very close to the 335 incl tax for 36/12k lease.

I reran the online calculator, changing residual to 50% - Kyfdx is spot on - $317/mo before tax, $344/mo with tax. Only $9 more. Still within the budget!

    leasehackr.com/calculator?make=Honda&msrp=32150&sales_price=26000&months=36&mf=.00059&dp=0&doc_fee=80&acq_fee=595&taxed_inc=0&untaxed_inc=0&rebate=0&resP=50&reg_fee=400&sales_tax=8.375&memo=&monthlyTax_radio=true&miles=12000

Thanks, will report back. I feel really great about this deal. If the finance guy tries a fast one (I've had it done to me at an Acura dealership), I'll just get up and walk. If they can't stick to the numbers, sayonara! Cheers everyone!

You've done your homework so you'll do fine - they will realize you've got your act together. I misunderstood your previous post and thought the acquisition fee was included in the sales figure quote - I reran the numbers with acquisition fee rolled into the payment and the 821 due at signing and came up with 343 incl tax - right about where you are with your latest calculation. Great job on the legwork.

Is it realistic to think you can negotiate the price down 3k AND get the $2750 incentives on top of that? I've read through the prices paid forums and the lease deals ones, but trying to get an accurate idea before going into negotiations. Looking at an EX or EX-L if it matters. Thanks!

Depending on the market in your area and remaining inventory, you should be able to achieve between $5-6k off msrp fairly easily (incl incentives) on an EX or EX-L.

Thanks. Southern California is pretty competitive, I think. The inventory looks pretty good, too.

Yep - in March, I got 5800 off on my Sport when lease cash was only 1500. You should be able to get at least $6k off incl the lease cash - get these dealers competing - current programs end tomorrow - you might find someone trying to hit a quota that will offer a killer deal.

Can you please tell me the mf/residuals/incentives for Sport SE, EX-L V6, Touring for CA, 24/12. Thanks
    .00059 MF $2750 incentive 61%, 58%, 54% residual, respectively for 24/12
I just had a dealer tell me Honda doesnt offer 24 month leases...but other dealers have given me pricing for a 24 month lease. Im confused...are they just trying to get me into a 36 month lease?
24 month leases from Honda aren't very cost effective, though.
I was told that the dealer cash of 1500 doesn't apply to leases only the 1250 lease cash.

    Is that true?
