I responded to your post in the other discussion but yes, that's a great deal. 3400 below invoice and a good lease deal - if they have the car you want, take it.

I got a 3 Year, 12K/year lease offer for a 2017 Honda Accord Sport Automatic $265/month all in. i.e. taxes etc all rolled into the payment. 36 payments of 265 is all I pay.

I helped my relative negotiate a great lease deal today! Here's the numbers:

2017 Honda Accord Sedan Sport SE (Florida)

MSRP 27,190, negotiated sale price $20,700 including all incentives. Leased for 3 years & 12k miles year, monthly $247 tax included with $500 due at signing (cash down).

Thanks for the MF & RV numbers ahead of time, it helped us negotiate the best deal.

Why not go for the Sport SE? It's the same payment and you get the leather instead of cloth ;) The difference in residual value makes it an equal deal relatively.

It is very simple, bud. I am not a good negotiator. Would you share how your negotiation went? How did you start etc? I just looked at invoice price, took out the 3100 discount and put in everything in the calculator and came up with 276/month so I asked them to beat that. One guy refused, and I walked out, the next guy agreed to 265.

Use the forums to gauge what people are paying for these cars (sale price). I figured an aggressive number like $20,000 and worked upwards (knowing that they prob won't accept it). Email as many local dealers in your area and pit them against each other. I have 5 honda dealers in a 25 mile radius. I NEVER go to a dealership until I have the figures that I'm comfortable with. Once I achieve that, only then do I go and sign paperwork. Walking into a dealership gives them leverage and they try to sell you on emotion, not logic ;)

Also, the Sport vs Sport SE are only $1000 apart (approx $28 month diff on a lease), BUT because they have a different residual, (52% for sport, 53% for SE) it's practically the same monthly payment. A lot of ppl don't realize that.....Keep in mind you still got a GREAT deal! Most buyers have no idea how to negotiate lease deals and end up paying much more than you did. Most dealers were quoting $350++ at first contact, so imagine how many ppl get burned paying high prices.

Deal just completed yesterday on Accord Sport SE 36/12 lease:
    MSRP: $27,190
    Gross Cap Cost: $21,964
    Residual: $14,410
Payment: $250.00 a month, taxes included.
No money down, $487 due at signing (First payment, $199 admin fee, $38 license plates).
Plus, dealer cutting check back to me for three remaining payments and dispo fee on another lease (approx $1,030), added all weather floor mats at no cost, and all routine maintenance is covered for four years (even though we may only have the car for three...this is a dealer-specific perk included with all new Hondas).

From someone who leases a lot, this was one of the best dealership experiences I've had. Could I have possibly squeezed a couple more bucks out of the payment? Maybe. But we got to the above with very little hassle. I had no interest in quibbling over a couple bucks when the dealer was clearly being aggressive from the outset. I had previously dealt with other dealers who came close to the above, but not without a lot more back and forth. I never told this dealer what I was offered by others, and yet they still beat the others.

I should have also given a shout out to you guys who post the MF and residual percentages from various manufacturers. This info is beyond valuable. I've leased a lot of cars over the last 20 years, but ever since I found these forums, it's so much simpler to find what I'm looking for since I can calculate what I'm trying to achieve using actual numbers across the various car/truck brands. It saves so much time. So, even if it's not said very often...a big thank you to you guys.

You both did a great job on your leases - it's apparent that you controlled the process rather than allow the dealer control you.

Found a dealer with 3 accords in inventory and asked him for the best price for 25k. Started sending that quote to all other dealers asking for best deal, finally came as low as $24.4k. No one went below that.

Hello. Just drove off the lot hope I got a good deal. Sale price was $22,000. OTD cash price was $24,403 including non optional paint and interior protection for $189. This is for a Sport SE in White. Would appreciate your thoughts. Three dealers working against one another and after walking out of one and would have had to take what they had on the lot which was all dark colors I didn’t care for. Had a quote for $20,995 but would have had pay another $600 for their installed options with a $200 value. My tax rate is $1837.44 $80 doc fee $144 for lic fee $112 for reg.

Also the three dealers I was working with all wanted extra for white which is in high demand in my area. I could have saved a few hundred for non white and a thousand for black. Nobody would go below $22,000 for the Sport SE.

What do you think, Michaell? Sale price was $22,000 for a Sport SE. Hope I did ok. The fees, tax and docs brought the final OTD price to $2403. TrueCar says that's an "excellent" price. Hope that's true!

How does the $3100 incentives work within the lease? I'm using leasehackr's calculator to figure out what price i need to talk them down. Is this a cash back incentive or a manufacturer to dealer rebate?

Pretty sure that most, if not all of it is Honda to dealer cash. So, incorporate it into your selling price

Does the edmunds price promise certificate already factor in the $3100 incentive or partial?

    I don't have that information.
Given the nature of of Honda incentives, I'd guess that it's already factored into the price.
You should negotiate with at least one dealer independently of that certificate, to make sure you are getting the best price.

Msrp 27505. 0 drive off fees. 3/36k lease. Accord ex blue. $275 x 35 months all taxes and fees inclusive. Best offer I have received in Los Angeles. Stock is thinning out. Think I can press for more? I stopped negotiating sale price and focused on monthly. Bad idea?

By me, the EX supply is very thin.

Please provide MF, Residual, and Incentives on an Accord EX-L in NJ. 10k and 12k miles per year, 36 months.

Question - what number should I be subtracting the incentives from? The MSRP? The Factory Invoice? Or the TrueCar average pricing? Because I'm seeing a TrueCar price of $25,779, Invoice of $27,328, and MSRP of 29,795.

    Thank you kindly in advance!
