I wasn't pissing on his deal; just think the base v-6 leases better and the nav/sensing isn't worth 2k (to me). Add the 2% reduction in residual from 50 to 48% and then the $600 non-residualized accessories... Thankfully he got a good sell price to make the deal acceptable.

I'm with you on the Nav/sensing Tony - kind of wish I'd have gone with an EX rather than the Sport and I'd be able to use the Carplay/Android Auto for navigation.

What are they saying for the 10k residual? Most locations don't offer 10k Honda lease terms.

Yeah, My wife wanted white in a EX-L V6. The only White EX-L V6 in a 100 miles radius was the one with Nav and Sensing. The white ones go real fast here in Arizona so I had to jump on the deal. I had two white ones picked out and both sold on the same day.

It's probably no Nav/sensing - and looks like around $2k was paid at signing so it's probably around 320-330 with zero at signing - but this is all guesswork without a selling price and state/tax rate - that's what happens when folks post only partial info - an accurate assessment of the deal is difficult or impossible.

It was NY. Dealer wanted to get rid of the v6s. Only had 3 left when I went

I'm new to this whole money factor information. We are currently at the end of our lease on our current vehicle, 2014 Honda CRV LX (36k/3yr). The CRV currently has close to 63k miles (and is in Fair condition), in which the deal we made with the dealership at the time of the lease was that we would not be penalized for over mileage as long as we came back to the same dealership to trade in for a new lease, purchase the vehicle at the end of the lease or trade the lease in for the purchase of a new vehicle on their lot. We're currently paying $256 per month. What would be a good deal, or what is the money factor/residual value for a 2017 Honda Accord LX, zip 32926, and any rebate info? Our Payoff amount is $15,298, Sales Price $21,755. Any help you can provide/direction would be greatly appreciated.

Daniel - true - you may trade in your CRV when entering into a new lease - but keep in mind if the trade in value is less than your payoff, you are responsible for the difference, either in up front cash or rolling the difference into the new lease. Rolling the difference into a new lease will raise your payment approximately $28 for each $1k on a 36 month lease.

Kelly blue book states your car with that amount of mileage in good condition is worth about $12k trade in. I suspect the dealer is not going to offer that much - if they do, they will most likely raise the sale price on the new vehicle you want to lease. In his particular case, it might be better for you financially to buy out the CRV lease and keep it for another year or two until there is less negative equity.

Also, maybe someone can offer some advice. I have contacted a number of dealers about this car online as well as in person, and can't seem to find one that will discuss actual lease terms. They all offer x down and x per month. When I push and say that I want to discuss the entire deal, not just those two numbers, they all tell me I can go over that with the FM when I'm finalizing the deal. I have no problem searching for a new dealer when they won't talk real numbers, and I have made it very clear that I am serious about this, but I keep getting the same thing at multiple Honda locations. Any advice?

If you have the money factor and residual, you only need the selling price and fees (incl dealer doc fee - I think capped at $75 in NY) to get a pretty good idea what the lease will cost. If a dealer is unwilling to provide you a selling price quote, that's unacceptable. After all, you will be presented with a lease agreement to sign that will have all that info and when you sign it, you are obligated to the terms of the agreement.

I actually got to that point myself when I started shopping leases. I am not buying the car, just signing up for payments! So cheapest payment for same car wins.

I simplify comparisons by always putting the same $ into the deal at inception, everything else rolled in ($1K works for me to basically cover doc fees, DMV, and most of the tax). So the only variable really is the payment.

Exactly - that's how I approach it - if you know what a fair, competitive payment is for your market, tax rate, and lease terms, the dealer will need to come up with the sale price to get to that number. Like you, I usually use $1k at signing and send an identical quote request email to all dealers for easy comparison. The info available here on Edmunds helps immensely to keep us shoppers in control and the dealers honest.

Sometimes there are other minor fees - request a detailed breakdown from the dealer to include sale price (incl destination charge) and all fees/taxes (incl acquisition fee, doc fee, DMV, and any other miscellaneous fees). Also, request money factor and residual info they will be using to see if it agrees with Michaell/kyfdx info.

If the MSRP is $25,850; the 36/12 residual on the LX-S Coupe is 50%, or $12,925. How does the dealer get to $13,442?

It is VA. that was work sheet from last month. it seems like RV is 52% on this worksheet. is it possible for dealer change RV? i thought it epends on finance company which is fixed ,not up to them. sorry for throwing bunch of questions. it will be my very first time leasing the vehicle.

Yes, the acquisition tax is rolled into monthly payments and adding tax to it makes it 340.
