Did you recently rush to buy a new vehicle before tariff-related price hikes? A reporter is looking to speak with shoppers who felt pressure to act quickly due to expected cost increases; please reach out to PR@Edmunds.com for more details by 4/24.
sell price? did you/they forget the lease cash? if you applied the trade as cap reduction, the deal seems a bit high should never put a large CCR down on a lease; next time ask before you sign btw, what does the $330 mx contract cover? oil changes and tire rotations is all you need during a 3 year lease...
if you've already signed, i'm not gonna piss on your deal. However, on a 3 year lease, you don't need a mx contract ($330) and you definitely don't need a $600 service contract. The Honda warranty is 3year/36k miles B2B so what is that $600 paying for. You might be able to go back and ask for both those to be deleted. Don't wait more than 48 hours or the deal will go through as is. State law determines if you have any recourse on the "optional" items.
It's not awful by any means but you should have declined the mx contract and the service contract. So, $930 higher than it needed to be.
Hi. I am in Texas Zip Code 76006 and received an email from a local Honda dealer doing a 2-day sale on their remaining 2017 Accord LXs in stock. They claim $6000 off MSRP on these 2017 Accord LXs. I see 4 in stock with an MSRP of $24,130. I assume the $6000 off is the sum of the Dealer Discount plus Lease Incentives. Can you please provide the Money Factor and Residual Values and Lease Incentives for 12K miles/year as well as 15K miles/year for November 2017? As always, thanks in advance for all the great info you provide.

As a heads up, confirm with the dealer that the quoted discount will apply to a lease - sometimes incentives on leases and retail purchases are not the same.
2016 ES350 Lux/Atomic Silver 2017 Accord Sport CVT Mod Steel Metallic
Sorry I should have clarified more...in the email, the dealer quoted $6000 off, $0 Down Lease Special, $229/month for 36 months, 12,000 miles/year, NOT including Taxes and Fees

That deal is not anything special - 229 plus taxes and fees on an LX is very average at best. You are at a disadvantage in TX being assessed sales tax on the entire sale price for leases.

Agreed - you may be able to improve on that with some halfway decent negotiation skills. Get multiple dealers to compete for the right to earn your business.
Any changes for the numbers for 2017 Accord Sedan Sport from last month... in 11701 Or are the numbers still MF .00059, RV 52% and $3,100 in incentives?
Any changes for the numbers for 2017 Accord Sedan Sport from last month... in 11701 Or are the numbers still MF .00059, RV 52% and $3,100 in incentives?
.00059 and 51% for 36/12, this month. Incentives are now $3300
2017 EX-L V6 Coupe (6A) MSRP: 32150 12k/36 month $371 due at signing. First payment and fees $356 /month tax included (6.75% tax rate)
RV: 48% MF: .00059 Using these and the residual and MF Michael provided, I came up with a selling price of $25950. This seems decent, but I think I can do better.
This was my first solid offer from a dealer. Trying to see if anyone will beat it now.
36mo Term. 12k miles/year. Any idea if they have a lower mileage allotment that would drive down monthly cost? This is for my grandmother who only needs about $8k/yr. Currently being quoted (per 36mo/12k):
EX-L $344/mo - $0 down $313/mo - $1k down $283/mo - $2k down
Sport SE $265 - $0 $235 - $1k $206 - $2k
Hybrid $340 - $2k
How is this deal? What would be the best achievable pricing? Thank you!!!
i don't think you can get 10k on honda in IN; seems to be a tri-state thing only. You might consider Sonata where you can get 10k and the lease deals are quite good this month, esp on SE model
btw, Sport SE has 19 inch wheels/tires - just perfect for Granny

As noted, Honda only offers 10K per year in NJ, NY and CT, it seems.
Hyundai does offer 10K allowance, and the deals are pretty strong on the Sonata, this month.
For the Accord, we would need to know the MSRP and selling price to run the numbers.
And, we suggest grandma only put down the first payment and any DMV costs - add everything else into the lease payment.

Brian thanks so much. So the following sounds like it would be legit:
$20,999.99 purchase price (+ .045% taxed) $499.99 Doc Fee (would like to negotiate this) $599.99 Protection Package (would like to negotiate this)
Your above deal is not very good anymore with the $1100 dollars dealers taking back . Negotiate more $$$ off or walk. I would tell this dealer if they want your business they need to throw in the BS protection pck $599. leave your number tell dealer you are pursuing other deals with area dealerships without the added protection pck.

I agree with @brian125 - both of those are junk fees to pad the dealer's profit margin. Try to get the pro pack thrown in (as mentioned) and negotiate another $500 off the selling price to offset the doc fee.
We finished by taking the Sport SE for $236/mo and $0 down. This did include a trade-in of old 1998 Lexus for $500. I am not sure how we did on the deal, as I'm not sure if I put in the $3300 in available incentives under "Rebates/Down Payment" in my calculation or of that form of incentives is used to reduce the MSRP to the Negotiated SP. Curious to learn for future reference. Also, they quoted .52 as RV, instead of the .51 I found above. Attached is the screenshot of the final terms. Thoughts?

Yes mention that you'll be financing the vehicle thru dealership. In fact tell all your targeted dealerships this before they give u there final price .

You did really well. 52% is correct residual for Sport SE for 36/12. 51% is for Sport. The incentives are all dealer cash (I think), so they are just reflected in the lower selling price. Which is good. If they were rebates, they would be taxable.
Hi is there any info on the different tiers for Honda leases seems like tier 1-3 is .0059. What are the different tiers and what credit is needed. Thanks

The $3300 is baked into the discount from MSRP to the "Vehicle Price"

Is this a good deal?
I leased this in Texas, zip 75024.
2017 Honda Accord EXL
MSRP $29795
Trade In $5000 (2008 Toyota Rav4, 4 wheel, 111111 miles)
Gross capitalized cost $26473.43
Adjusted capitalized cost $21473.43
Due at signing $196.02 (first month)
Monthly Payment $196.02
Original monthly was $186. Before signing added the maintenance contract for $330. Which made the monthly payments $196
did you/they forget the lease cash?
if you applied the trade as cap reduction, the deal seems a bit high
should never put a large CCR down on a lease; next time ask before you sign
btw, what does the $330 mx contract cover? oil changes and tire rotations is all you need during a 3 year lease...
Sounds silly, should I call the dealer and ask about lease cash?
what is CCR?
I saw this thread after I took the vehicle...:(....How much high are we talking? 2K, 3K?
However, on a 3 year lease, you don't need a mx contract ($330) and you definitely don't need a $600 service contract. The Honda warranty is 3year/36k miles B2B so what is that $600 paying for. Do they still have any incentives available?
Looks like $2800 incentives on the 4-cyl, and $3300 for the V6, this month.
