I get $561/mo with $0 down using those prices (46% residual and .50% APR)

Why does their quote show two rebates? I see $2500 taken off the price of the vehicle, then $3000 listed lower down - where does the $3000 get applied?

Just clarified with the dealer.. $2500 is for financing...for lease its $3000. Your calculation is for 36 or 39 months? Can you give me a figure for 36 months and also do you see any scope for negotiation here?

A-plan helps with pricing; to my knowledge, it doesn't affect the lease numbers.

Michaell, would you agree that the Explorer doesn't lease very well with low residuals and not the bets mf's? I've been interested in leasing one for the longest time, but keep getting dissuaded because the numbers are never great compared to say what you can get for an Infiniti qx60

I would agree - at the moment, nothing is leasing better than the QX60. Maybe the Volvo XC60 or XC90, depending on trim. Some pretty big lease cash amounts on those.

What trim level?

I don't see any reference to the acquisition fee - ask the dealer what the adjusted cap cost is.

And, we don't recommend that large of a down payment for a lease.

Got a response from the dealer.. it's the XLT FWD. cap cost is $38089.12 before the $3000 lease rebate

$419/mo before tax with those prices.

Looks like some of your $2500 up front cash is being used as cap reduction.

If you think you can get more of a discount, then ask for it. Can't hurt.

It looks as thought lease cash may have increased from the previous $4250 to $4750?

Thoughts on the following offer. MSRP $45,155, Cap cost of $35,726. Reduction includes $5k of incentives/rebates. Monthly payment of $498.16 for 36/12k, rolling all taxes/fees into the payment and only paying 1st month at delivery. I do not have the breakdown on the taxes/fees. Located in NJ, MF - .25% and RV - 51%. thanks.

One local dealer has now confirmed $4750 lease cash. No changes in MF or residual.

I have a quote for a very similarly priced Explorer (I'm assuming XLT based on the MSRP and residual) and on Saturday that quote was $466 paying first month + $300 in fees at signing. With the lease cash jumping to $4750 today (if that is true) we are closer to $450.

I'm not sure how NJ does tax on a lease, but in PA its 9%.

NJ taxes the sum of the payments, and collects the money up front. If you add it to the selling price, it then becomes subject to interest, but because the MF (APR) is so low, it doesn't make a huge impact on the final payment.
