    Looking for Mf and RV for limited, sport and platinum for 36/12? Also how does residual change if you add or subtract 1500 miles a year?

    @dhop what type are you aiming for off selling price for explorer sport?  I am Z plan but was wasn't sure if I could leasehack a better discount.  Discount is aroun 8-9% for z plan.

    So the dealership just told me ford doesn't go lower than 3.4% apr. just learning the game when you say .75% apr is that ford or where do you get the .75%! Thanks.

    Yes.. those are the base rates from Ford Credit for the state of Georgia.

    0.75% APR is roughly equivalent to a .00031 money factor.

    Hi, I was quoted last weekend: $392 for 24 mon, 12K on an Explorer XLT, with first payment $412, tax $321, admin fee $599, and Reg. $312 at the front. The MSRP should be around 41k. None details were told such as MF, RV, selling price, etc. Any thoughts? Thanks,

    I have 36/15k miles at 49 residual and .50%
    39/15k at 47 and .75%

    What happens to residual and MF on 39 months as I move to 13,500 miles or 12,000 miles?

    What type of payments do you get on a 39 month/15k lease on a 2017 Explorer Sport in Georgia? In Georgia you have to pay tax on the entire amount not just the lease amount. The rate is 7% I think they were using 1.5% apr. I'm using the leasematic app for IOS and want to make sure I'm calculating properly. Thanks. Here is the screen shot from the dealer.

    I get $687.42, using the 1.50% APR you provided.

    $1000 in (dubious) accessories and am $800 dealer fee... That's a lot of padding. $50/mo for that crap, alone.

    Thanks. I agree. Trying to find a dealership that doesn't add all those accessories. They put the stuff on the car the minute they get it from the truck so they say you can't take it off. I didn't think this was the deal for me, but I wanted to see if I was calculating correctly. Ever hear anything(good or bad) about the "leasematic" app? It seems pretty accurate.

    Just ignore the accessories, and lower your offering price to account for it, if you know they are going to add that on. Do the same with the exorbitant dealer fee. Since they aren't really adding anything for those items, you know you can negotiate as though they weren't there. Whatever your target price, just reduce it by $1800.

    Sorry, haven't used any of the apps. Just a simple spreadsheet.

    No, I didn't (I don't know how to convert). So, is there any similar calculator publicly available?
    Take the APR, divide by 2400, to get the equivalent MF amount - use that in your calculator.

    Today, my wife and I went to a dealership, and we got confused about leasing a car. I thought leasing would give me more peace, that is, if something happen to car, I just give it to dealer for fix. It seems what I have been informed and learned.

    But, dealer told me I was totally wrong, and damage above the NORMAL level, I will be billed for repair. But, they can not tell me what are NORMAL levels.

    So, can you tell me what is the major advantage to lease a car? Just to change a car every 2-3 years?

    Yes.. if you trade every three years, leasing is a cost efficient way to do it.
    All leasing banks publish guidelines on what is normal wear and tear. Your dealer should be able to give you a copy.

    Can I get the MF and Residual for the 2017 Ford Explorer Sport Trim in So. California? 36mos/12k. Again, Why does the State matter,what # differs by state? Do I want zero drive off or do I want to pay ONLY state License and Reg upfront because it's taxable in the monthly? Do you happen to know or have a guesstimate for Min drive off

    $3500 lease cash
    51% residual

    State matters, because not all states tax leases in the same way.
    But, yes... pay non-taxable fees upfront, because if you roll them in, they become taxed.

    Rule of thumb for CA: DMV fees are approximately 1.1% of MSRP.
