I'm looking at a 430 GC. Can you give me the details for 3 year 12K lease? If it were a demo, with the difference just be the negotiated price? Would it start at a lower price? Is the least incentive applicable to demos?

The residual is affected by the demo miles - how many miles on the car you are looking at?

Yes, you want to negotiate a lower price on the demo unit than you would on something with 0 miles on it.

Selling price = 57,730 after rebate before taxes.
What additional information should I ask for ?

Insist on the base money factor

This is the 2017 thread; we are assuming you have been asking about a 2017 unit.

Yes, 2017's should be cheaper to lease, as the residual is slightly higher and the discounts from sticker bigger.

I don't know if it is a good deal with MF of 0.00192?

Base MF is .00152; politely tell the dealer you won't sign unless you get the base rate.

Need to know the adjusted CAP cost. No mention of tax in your list of charges. NJ collects the tax upfront, so it either has to come out of the $2500 or added to the CAP cost.
Also, the lease credit is $3000.. wonder why they give the rebate as $2750?
Ask them for the money factor used, as well.

The payment seems a little high.
Ask for the actual adjusted CAP cost and an itemization of the charges

I have a one time deal from a dealer who is looking to get rid of a brand new 2017 BMW 4i convertible in Houston, TX.

Please find attached the sheet with more details.



Is there anyway I can judge if the deal is good or not.
They are providing an 6000$ discount over the MSRP and also taking care of the Tax (Almost 3500$) on the vehicle.

I get $660/mo using the base MF of .00152; $694 with a max markup MF of .00192

Looks like the dealer is clawing back some of that excellent discount by marking up the MF.

If they are covering the taxes, that is a very good deal, nonetheless.

The 2017 vehicle is a loaner car with 5000 miles on it. The dealership has agreed to honor the same deal with a 2018 vehicle with the same features. I am assuming it is a good deal on the 2018 vehicle as BMW has lower residuals on the 2018 vehicles.

Please let me know if you think that is not the case. Is there anything else I need to watch out when I sign the lease tomorrow. Does BMW generally offer Closed-End lease (True Lease, Walkaway lease or Net Lease) ?

How many miles, exactly, does the car have on it?

It's important because the lease deal won't be as good if the car has 5000 or more miles - there is a 4% reduction in the residual, plus a deduction of .25/mile for every mile. Unless you can score a major discount off the sticker price, you may be better off going with a new car.

And yes, I'd be interested in the 2018 for the same deal specs (payment, up front cash, etc.)

All leases are closed end leases - at the end, drop your car off and walk away (there may be charges for miles and damage, plus a disposition fee)

The loaner car had 5000 miles on it and we didn't want to take a chance with our first lease.

Attached is the spec sheet with numbers for a 2018 model. No tax added like the 2017 model.

What does the $2500 up front cover? First payment, acquisition fee --- what else?

And, your discount from sticker is only average - and, that's before the $650 or so of junk that is added. You want 7% off sticker, before incentives, plus an additional $650 to offset the junk.

Given that the acquisition fee is $925, there's something else added into the $2500 - cap reduction?

We recommend only first payment and registration costs up front. Add the acquisition fee into the cap cost.

It means that BMWFS deducts .25 per mile for the demo miles - that amount is subtracted from the calculated residual.
