Hoping for a quick response as I might be moving quickly.

Thanks to Michaell and kyfdx for providing the community such fantastic information!!!

Looking at an Audi A6 3.0T Premium Plus Quattro with Driver Assist Package ($2,550), 19" Sport Package ($1,050), Cold Weather Package ($500), and Cargo Net ($140) in California locale where tax is 9.5%. Total MSRP is $63,790 with a currently advertised ePrice of $59,995. I haven't discussed any terms with the dealer yet. My intention is to lease the vehicle for 36 months.

Could someone please provide me the Residual for 36 month and the Money Factor at 12,000 and 15,000 miles per year?

Also, could someone confirm the current incentives below?

    1) Conquest Cash due to me owning an eligible Acura TL - $1,000
    2) Leasing offer of $1,500 if using Audi Financial Services
    3) Up to $900 for a first lease payment during the Season of Audi Sales Event

    Thank you

I see the conquest and complimentary first payment - no info on the $1500 for AFS use.

Michaell - thanks for your response - I really appreciate it!

I found the $1,500 off of Lease/Purchase here on edmunds - https://www.edmunds.com/audi/a6/2017/st-401644407/deals/ I've attached screenshot of the section using 94602 as the Zip Code on a 2017 A6 3.0T Premium Plus. It seems that the same dollar amount is applicable whether you're buying or leasing -

With that additional info, can you confirm whether or not this incentive is legit?

Also, any thoughts on using Multiple Security Deposits or purchasing AudiCare with a lease? I can't imagine getting the money factor down any more than it already is. What's your favorite free online loan calculator?

I'm not going to contradict the information you found elsewhere here at Edmunds. Just not part of the information I have access to.

Audi allows MSD - max 9 at .00005 each. However, with the starting MF that low, MSDs won't get you anything, as Audi requires a minimum MF of .00005

We recommend AudiCare - it bumps the residual 1%

I built my own calculator in a spreadsheet; you can, too:

If I use the Quattro numbers (.00031 and 55%), I get $700.xx with your prices.

Audis just do not lease all that well, compared to MB or BMW.

He got $9K off MSRP, including incentives. The selling price matters.

With Texas sales tax, that seems possible, but if they can't breakdown the numbers, how do you really know you are getting $8435 off MSRP?

Without knowing a breakdown of the $5000 and the tax amount, we've got nothing to go on.

    Congrats on the new Audi!

    Sure does.

I see about $2600 added to the selling price.
$795 acquisition, $849 maintenance.. about $950 in other charges?
    What about Texas sales tax?

The total cost looks pretty good, though I wouldn't put $5000 upfront. Better to roll most of that into the payment.

I know the $5000 is gone in case I total the car but I assumed the total cost went down by a solid amount to justify that.

    Kyfdx,

Considering all the numbers, I wasn't sure if $625 was a good lease price for 15k, 42 mo. How does it compare with your numbers?

    Thanks.

PS: I just need to convince my wife I have not overpaid.

    Hello,

Would you please assess this lease offer for a 2017 Audi A6 3.0T Premium Plus?

    MSRP: $60,815
    NEGOTIATED AMOUNT: $52,853
    AUDICARE: $849
    DOCUMENT FEE: $80
    REGISTRATION: 498.75
TAXES: $4334.81 (I think they're screwing with me here. I'm in CA and this looks like taxes for the Cap Cost. I'm at 8% taxes locally btw.)
    ACTUAL CAP COST: $58,615.56
    RESIDUAL: 53%
MONEY FACTOR: I don't know as they didn't put in quote. I was quoted .00073 for a 2017 S3 fyi.
TERM: 36 Months at 12,000 miles annually
    MONTHLY: $760.63

Does the tax seem wonky to you guys?

The only tax upfront should be for items paid upfront.
Otherwise, tax is on the monthly payment.

.00007 MF and 53% residual for 36/12, with AudiCare.
Also, no mention of the $795 acquisition fee.
It appears your "actual CAP cost" has no connection to reality or the deal you are negotiating.

The CAP cost should be about $55,100, if you are rolling everything in (including $795 acquisition).
At that CAP, I get $641/mo.+tax, or $692/mo including tax.

It's doubtful they are calculating the lease with that tax number included, but they are most likely bumping the money factor.

Ask for the adjusted CAP cost (with itemization), and the money factor.

How much did they quote you as due at signing?
Also, if you do this deal, pay the DMV fees upfront, as they are not taxable, but become taxable if you roll them into a payment.

Thank you for the quick response!

The way I get to $58,615.56 is by adding:
    $52,853 + $849 + $80 + $498.75 + $4334.81 = $58,615.56

So I believe three things are happening:
    1. The salesman took me literally when I said I wasn't going to pay any cap cost reduction so he rolled everything into this massive amount.

    2. The salesman made a mistake or deviously calculated a $4,334.81 tax bill into my total amount based on the selling price of the car. I promise you that the sheet they sent me literally says "Tax: $4334.81" and it's part of the summation line for the total cost.

    3. He forgot or took off the acquisition fee.

*I admit that I seem to be dealing with a very incompetent guy or a very devious guy. Hence, I am checking here.

You've just run into a typical lease quote.
They "disclose" all the numbers, but then they don't mention that they don't all apply to a lease.
Believe me, they aren't adding that tax to the CAP cost, because they can't. You've assumed their total number is the CAP cost on a lease, but it isn't.

I'll repeat this part of my last answer:

Ask for the adjusted CAP cost (with itemization), and the money factor.

Could someone please provide the numbers and any incentives for January 2017, shopping in MI:

    2.0T Premium quattro 36/10 & 36/12

    2.0T Premium Plus quattro 36/10 & 36/12

They seem to want to push me to lease a Premium with a "Season of Audi" package at a significantly lower price rather than a Premium Plus, even though the MSRPs are within $800 of each other. Any reason why?

They seem to want to push me to lease a Premium with a "Season of Audi" package at a significantly lower price rather than a Premium Plus, even though the MSRPs are within $800 of each other. Any reason why?

.00006 MF and 55%/54% residual for either model.

It's possible the SOA package car has a higher percentage residual.

    Thanks kyfdx.

I know you guys don't do predictions here, but when is generally or historically the best month to lease an A6?

Closed the deal as shown below. Hope I got a good one!

Audi A6 3.0T Quattro, Premium Plus + Driver Assist package + LED headllights + 19-inch sports package + Cold weather package

    MSRP - $65,935
    Selling Price - $57,364
Lease - $625 incl. all taxes; 42 months; 15k miles per year
    Rebate - $2,125 ($1500 + 1st month lease payment)
Cash Down - $5,000 (dealer wouldn't provide me the breakdown)
Audi Care (4Yr/50K) included ($849 value)
    State - Tx

Based on Dec 31st,2016 MF and residuals, how much do you get for a monthly lease?

    Thank you for your help!

Without knowing a breakdown of the $5000 and the tax amount, we've got nothing to go on.

    Congrats on the new Audi!
My lease terms state the following -

Amount due at lease signing -
    > Capitalized cost reduction - $6500
    > First monthly payment - $625.25

How the amount due at lease signing will be paid -
    >Rebates - $2125
    >Cash - $5000

    Payment determined as below -
    >Gross capitalized cost - $59942 (includes $57365 as agreed upon value of the car)
    >Cap cost reduction - $6500
    >Adj cap cost - $53442
    >Residual value - $31648

    Does this help???
    Sure does.

I see about $2600 added to the selling price.
$795 acquisition, $849 maintenance.. about $950 in other charges?
    What about Texas sales tax?

The total cost looks pretty good, though I wouldn't put $5000 upfront. Better to roll most of that into the payment.
The texas sales tax was also included in the 625/mo. lease term. The dealer threw in the Audicare package and reduced the monthly lease payment when I insisted on the $5000 upfront payment.

I really can't follow your numbers. The amount over and above the sale price isn't itemized. We don't have the sales tax amount.

If you got it last month, and you are happy with it, then that's good enough.

Looking at picking up a 2017 Audi A6 Premium 2.0
    MSRP $51,855
Looking at 36months 12k and 15k miles. Being told the monthly price is $517 w/$2888 drive off. Haven't seen their math yet. What should the MF and Residuals be? Told the price is about $4800 off MSRP. Wondering if this is a good deal? Found a nice leftover 2016. Being told that the 2017's lease better than the 2016's? Is this true? Figured they'd be eager to get rid of the 2016 as they only have 2 left (surprised they have any) Thanks in advance!

    FWD or Quattro?

2017's are leasing better this month.

For Audi, anything over 6% off MSRP is a good price.

Hi Michael, FWD. Thanks for the info on 2016 vs 2017. What are the residuals and MF's I'm looking for? One dealer told me MF on the 2017 FWD was .00007 and 51% residual at 15k miles is this correct? What is it for 12k miles 36 months. Also, I own an X3 and GLK350, any other incentives besides luxury brand owner for $1k? Thanks!
