I live in Texas. I'm attempting to lease a 2017 Maxima. I keep getting told the lease prices are higher on the Maxima vs the Altima because of tax credits. Please advise if possible....

For 36/15 on the Maxima SL, I show the lease numbers as 43% and .00003; looks like the MF is marked up.

With those prices, I get $433/mo with the base MF, and $482mo with the marked up MF.

Politely tell the dealer you won't sign a deal with an inflated MF.

    .00003 and 44%

    What is the MSRP?

We do not recommend large up front cash payments for a lease - just the first payment and registration costs.

Do you know what your credit score is? Sometimes, dealers are more comfortable with cash up front because of the risk.

That said, you can structure the deal however you'd like.

Sorry, I see you mentioned that in your initial post.

It's possible that NMAC has a special program to address tax credits on the Maxima, this month.

Ok. Is there a specific site that lists all rebates and incentives for that month?

I get $402/mo with those prices, so some of that up front cash is being used as cap reduction.

MD taxes the entire selling price, even for a lease. Are those being paid out of the up front cash or is it part of the selling price.

We recommend nothing more than first payment and registration costs be paid at signing - roll the taxes and fees into the payment.

Before you accuse them of deception, my guess is that the $34,254 is the adjusted cap cost with taxes and such rolled in. Confirm that with them.

The negotiated price is rarely the cap cost used to model the payment against - fees and taxes that aren't being paid up front are added in.

Get a clear understanding of all those numbers, then we can proceed from there.

What is the residual, money factor, and lease cash on a 2017 Nissan Maxima Platinum trim in Texas (79762)? It would be for a 36 month lease with either 12,000 or 15,000 miles. Thank you very much.

Thank you so much! I don’t understand how they could get to a $310 payment with that residual even if they were getting major incentives/rebates. I know you don’t have the deal in front of you but any guess on how they could get to this monthly payment?

    Hey All,

I have an offer on a 2017 Nissan Maxima SR that I received today that I would love some feedback on. State is CA.

    Market Value 40,995
    Discount Savings -4,807.00
    Vehicle Selling Price 36,188.00
    Document Prep Fee 80.00
    License / Title 513.00
    Tire/Battery/VTR Fee 8.75
    EFC 29.00
    Acquisition Fee 595.00
    Tax on Collected Items 686.25
    Capitalized Initial Fees 546.20
    Total Cap 38,646.20
    Estimated Trade Payoff 3,000
    Down/Cash Cap Reduction 0
    Rebate Savings -7,625.00
    Net Cap 34,021.20

    Base Payment 501.10
    Monthly Tax 45.10
    36 Month Payment 546.20

    Rate .00110 (High)
    Annual Miles 15,000
    Residual % 44%
    Residual Amount 18,037.80

Can anyone speak to the MF side of this equation. Should I be able to get the .00003 in CA as well? I assume what you are posting is their buy rate? If so it looks like that should cut about 60 dollars or so off of the payment. How does the rest of this look? Appreciate the feedback. Trying to close this deal tonight.

    1) I show 43% as the 15K/yr residual, and 44% as the 12K/yr residual. Make sure you are getting the mileage you expect.
    2) Your $3000 of negative equity is being taxed. The full monthly cost of the neg.equity is $95/mo!
    3) .00003 is correct for top tier credit. .00110 is the MF for Tier 4. That adds $61/mo.

So, without the bump for Tier 4 credit and without the negative equity, you'd be paying about $390/mo, which would be a good deal...

Is nissan still leasing 2017s? If so, could I get MF, residual, and incentives for 2017 3.5 platinum in 53706? What is the optimal scenario for this car, 36/12? Thank you for your time.

.00003 is for top tier credit - either the dealer is marking it up for extra profit or they are quoting you a rate before they run your credit, at which point it should drop to .00003

I feel like this isn’t a good deal. Any help?
2017 Maxima Platinum msrp 41,295. Sale price 31,118. Rebates total 6550. MF they are using .00060 and residual of 42%. Only money out of pocket is 1800 for tax and mv fees. This is NJ. 36/12
.00003 is for top tier credit - either the dealer is marking it up for extra profit or they are quoting you a rate before they run your credit, at which point it should drop to .00003
Sounds like they were either marking up or using lower tier without running credit. With that MF it comes to $428 per month. That seem right? Is that a good deal for this car?

    We don't track pricing.

Base MF should save you around $25-30/mo on the payment.

Thank you for the info. My persistence thanks to you and this forum, got this car for $388 a month only mv and taxes down. I think I got a really good deal for the amount of car I’m getting

That's a good payment for a car that stickers at $41K.

    Congrats, and enjoy!

    Hello
Has the mf and residual changed for March for 36/12 Platinum in 53706? Is 36 month still the most viable option for this car? Thank you.
