Hi, I placed a deposit for a 2017 GLC300 4Matic in January that's set to arrive in 2 weeks. Are the February MF and RV for 3yrs/15k the same as they were in January? The dealer quoted me at .00138 (w/ autopay) @ 56%. Just fact checking, thanks!

Residual is exactly 59%. It's likely that the $975 maintenance plan is residualized (added to the MSRP). That's a good thing.

$2270 is a CAP cost reduction. That's what is left over, after paying the other fees, and reduces the CAP cost of the vehicle. Deducting that from the $52K selling price, the adjusted CAP cost is $49,730
That results in a pre-tax payment of $570/mo.
The dealer has quoted you a payment of about $615/mo. pre-tax.

A few things going on here:
1) Acquisition fee is marked up from $795 base
2) $475 doc fee.. makes your effective price $52,475, instead of $52,000
3) Money factor is marked up from the base amount.. likely to the .00200-.00210 range

It doesn't matter if it's a "luxury" vehicle. Lease calculations are all about the math.
Also, there is no point in making a big upfront payment on a vehicle that you are renting monthly. It only serves to obscure the true monthly cost.
For instance, if you only paid first payment and the registration fee upfront on this quoted deal, the payment would be $729/mo. (now, it seems really expensive).

Assuming the selling price is good (and, it appears to be), I would want this deal:

1) $51525 selling price (to make up for the doc fee)
2) $795 acquisition fee (base fee) rolled into CAP cost
3) $475 doc fee
4) No CAP cost reduction
5) Base MF of .00152
6) Adjusted CAP cost $52,795
7) Only 1st payment and registration upfront.

$660/mo.+tax = $711/mo.
$896 due at signing ($711 + $185)

That's $2372 less total cost than your quote.
A lot of savings comes from using the base money factor.

It's not a real cheap vehicle to lease, if you get a good deal.
But, it can be better than what they quoted.

Bought 3 yr. maintenance on my old lease. With MB's early lease turn-in program, I will be under the 30,000 miles mark. Therefore I will not use the 3rd and last service. Maybe someone knows the answer to this question. Can I am negotiate a credit for the last maintenance into the new lease? I am looking at $600 credit.

Hmm, good question.

Not sure if it can "officially" be done on the paperwork, but you may want to negotiate the price of your new vehicle to offset that $600.

You can attempt to negotiate anything you want. Dealer has to be willing to negotiate, as well.

If you aren't paying for it upfront, it has to be added to the CAP cost.

We see some dealers adding it to the MSRP, so it's residualized, but that doesn't seem to be universal.

I am planning to lease a GLC 4Matic soon. On Mercedes site, I see that they have a special of $499 going on. I also calculated through Edmunds calculator that for $42K + $4k (taxes) - $4k (down) will result in monthly payment of $658(Calculation based on 58% residual factor & 0.0015 MF) for 36months/12K miles so $499 seems like a good deal.

As the lease deal is going on for a while therefore wondering if I'm missing something here?

We need to know both the MSRP and the selling price to calculate the payment.

We don't recommend putting any money down on a lease - just first payment and DMV costs.

What state and tax rate is this?

Lastly, on-line calculators often make assumptions that we know nothing about.

This Florida dealer has a PreDelivery service charge of $699.95. (pure profit). Any suggestions how to handle this charge?
