Yes - TX assesses lease tax against the entire selling price; LA against the monthly lease payment.
Suggest you check with the departments of revenue for both states to see what you'll owe.
If living in Texas and car comes from Louisiana will I need to go to the TX DMV once acquired? Or will MB Financial/dealer handle (tax, title, license etc...)?

I don't know the specific registration guidelines for each state; not sure that MBFS will help all that much, but you can reach out to them and see what they say.

Normally, I don't suggest 48 month leases, but since you pay tax on the full selling price in TX, and your mileage needs are low, it might be worth it. Residual is 49% for 48/7.5K, and payment would be $602/mo. ($23/mo. for every $1000 for 48 months)

Be polite and tell them you won't sign any deal with a marked up MF.
I don't know how far you are willing to travel (you mentioned LA at one point), but it only takes one dealer to meet your numbers.
All that said, the GLC is a popular vehicle. This may be the best you can do.

My guess is the $1500 due at signing includes the acquisition fee, but it doesn't hurt to confirm.
