    There's a weird bar on the rear bumper, so there just might be a continental kit back there. Probably blue dot or similar lights, too. I am surprised there isn't a creepy kid doll in the pic.

    I notice the Montclair has a "for sale" sign in Swedish, which isn't surprising at all.

    Yes Lake pipes. The origin is probably from the 1950s hot-rod era, relating to the dry lake beds of California.... They could be uncapped to run on the dry lakes, then capped up for the ride home.

    Incomplete answer, it's a 1955 Mercury Montclair Sun Valley, the SV being the Mercury version of the Ford Crown Victoria. Aside from the badges and minor styling differences there's a big difference- the CV as seen in the pic provided by Tmart a few posts back was a pillared coupe with the B-post chromed and styled into a hoop. The Sun Valley by contrast is a 50's style hardtop coupe w no B-pillar.

    Honestly I'd forgotten about the Sun Valley until I saw one at a local car show a few weeks ago. ;)

    I'm impressed. Really. I have always had trouble connecting songs with the groups. Often I know a few words from the song but don't know the real title.

    I would like to have said these 4 must have been before my time, but I remember some titles and Beach Boys and Jan & Dean.

    BTW
    SiriusXM has channel 4 as the Beach Boys channel right now. I can't take it. Just like I can't take more than one song on the Elvis channel.

    Chuck Berry (the TRUE King of Rock N Roll) wrote and recorded No Money Down in 1955. Fantastic car song about a man trading his "broken down raggedy Ford" for a Cadillac. Hey, I did that when I swapped my Stang for the CTS. Of course, mine was far from broken down.

    The song IS Hot Rod Lincoln by Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen.

    This seems hilariously funny now. It was rather long in the tooth for 1967 as well. I'm sure real car people laughed at it.

    I remember watching that on TV. Dana Andrews had a bad back, and every time he would confront the punks, he got a bad spasm, and his wife and daughter had to help him back in the car. :p

    At the time, as a kid, I thought that was ridiculous, but after back surgery, I understood completely. :D
