The 59 Galaxie with the T-Bird like roofline was quite popular when it came out in the Chicago area, maybe partially due to the batwing Chevy. But the Squarebird was also popular, so I think that may have been the driver. Honestly though, the Chevy and Ford were both a bit out there in design overall. Plymouth was actually the conservative looking model that year, while the Dodge got rather exaggerated styling as well. Fun year to be a car fan kid.
Lancia Aurelia B20 coupe - mid 50s - they sold them here from about 1954-58 and the last few were a 2500GT I think although everybody always calls them a B20.
That British number is an age related one from an unused series originally allocated to Leeds (Yorkshire) but re-allocated to the Norwich office of the national Licensing office in 2010 - either for a re-registration or as an imported car.
One of the very few automakers based in Wales. There were approximately 580 GTs made and about 600 Invaders.
The company's history is convoluted and kind of interesting. The name comes from GILes Smith and BERNard Friese (a German). The company was taken over by Ace Holdings, Ltd, Britain's largest maker of slot machines. Both founders were gone by 1969. Ace Holdings became part of the Mecca group, which ran dance halls and organized the Miss World competition. The carmaking business was something they just inherited, and weren't much interested in.
Most Gilberns were delivered in kit form, but the coming of VAT in 1973 killed that off. The company expired in September 1973.
Yes - I don't recall seeing three Gilberns together that often - and I'm from Wales. There was a fourth one present as well although parked elsewhere on the field.
Looks a lot more Chevette/Kadette to me - '75ish Kadette or one of its many relatives?
That's it, it's a mid-70s Chevy Chevette for the Brazilian market where it first appeared although first designed in Germany as an Opel Kadette. Eventually it was sold all over the world by GM. A rental Chevette was the worst car I have ever driven, it's hard to believe that a single one ever sold in Germany.
0 to 60 in 5.5 seconds, faster than with its original 6 gasoline engine. $471,000.
I'm not sure about that, speed is nice, so is less pollution but I've driven a Series I E-Type with the 4.2 twin cam and it's the nicest car I ever drove and I'm not sure having no real transmission, more weight etc would be an improvement in how it was to drive.
Incidentally it's known as the Jaguar Concept Zero. I don't believe it's a one-off as suggested in places on line. I think Clarkson tested one on Top Gear a coupla years ago and that J/LR will sell one to you if you can afford it.
I'm not sure if the blue car is a rental or a wedding gift.
Is that the '61 Lark convertible that was over on BaT? If so we were talking about it on the Postwar Studebakers forum last week. @uplanderguy called out all the things about it that should give a buyer pause.

Good Lord. That's something a Windsor would do to an E-Type. Blasphemous. The purr of the exhaust. The smell of hot oil. The tickety-tack of the upper engine, the whirr..whirr...whirr of the gears, the tachometer bouncing up and down, the poppety-pop of deceleration into a curve.
Those are quirky cars--not very fast, very nose heavy, but sturdy as a rock. Worst part is the sitting position--you are way , way down on the floor, so the window sill is about ear level. With overdrive, improved SUs and a B20 fuel-injected cylinder head (you plug the injector holes up) and an IPD camshaft, and a set of aftermarket gauges under the dash or in a console, it becomes a really nice driving car.

Yes, they had the rep of looking faster than they were.
It's just an Amazon 122 powertrain. The sturdy B18 engine with, alas, a rubber camshaft.
But you can build that engine to be fairly lively. Many are running with flat cams, carburettors badly adjusted or leaking air like crazy, and sloppy timing gears---no wonder they have a reputation for being lazy engines.

The Invader, the last model, had a Ford V-6.
