I saw that Dodge Sweptline listing last week. I think it said it was a ‘68. Those trucks are interesting because they have become fairly rare, but every change that was made to this one needs undoing. Just very poor choices in all respects.
I think a lot of Ford and Chevy trucks has cab mounted fuel tanks even in the 70s.
Yes, that was how it was done then. Of course when Chevy took it out of there and mounted it outboard on the frame rails under the bed, that didn't work out so well either.
Yes, more specifically a Simca Aronde P60 Monaco model. You are correct on the year. Nice looking car for the era, but apparently very underpowered. However the French girls seemed to like it, so that is a plus.
Looking at it closer, it is a TD. I think both could be had with steel wheels, but wires are an easy conversion.
At first I had only a short glimpse but I could see the wire wheels so I pegged it as a TF. The it caught up with us and I got a longer look and realized it was a TD with the rare (in US market trim) wire wheel option. The license plate frame said it was a 1952.
That brownish 2-door car which has sort of dropped out of the list was one of ours - in 4-door you even got a version of it for a while from our then largest manufacturer although you didn't like it....
Surely the mud brown (and I'm being polite) is a clue it originates with British Leyland...
Yes it's the Morris Marina - that one is a fairly basic early one so 1970/71 I imagine. They sold well enough in the beginning but had no hope against the Ford Cortina or the Vauxhall Cavalier which came later.
The 2 door was not as popular here as the four door and was phased out to make room for the unloved Austin Allegro a few years later although as a four door the Marina lived on to get a new engine (much too late) and an update / facelift to make the Morris Ital - equally unlamented.
How about 1962 with the faux convertible roof. Most beautiful of the 61-64 series.
On the outside, yes. Unfortunately they kept the '61 dash inside. The '63/'64 version of the dash was better IMO.
I cannot tell you how many times I have seen a pic like that one of a restored black over red '62 Impala. I dunno if they are all of the same car, or if that combo is just very popular among aficionados of that model.
I remember looking at a 62 Galaxie 500XL when I was 15 (~1992), in that same color combo. It was immaculate to my eyes, but it was in low light, and my standards might not have been as high then. Seller wanted 2K for it, and for some reason it gave my dad a bad vibe, so he didn't bite. Soon after, we found a blue on blue 66 for half that, my dad gave the nod, and it was the first car I drove regularly.

Black over red is pretty desirable in most cars, no?

My grandfather bought the '62, because my grandmother wanted to learn to drive (at age 51). She never did learn, and the Galaxie remained in the garage, while my grandfather continued to drive his '49 (!) Ford. In 1968, they moved to the "big city", and he started driving the '62, daily. He passed away young in 1971, and my grandmother sold the car for $500. Around 35K miles, and looked like it had just come off the showroom floor.
I begged my mother to buy it for me, and keep it in my grandmother's garage. But, alas I was only 13, and my mother said she didn't want to hear about it for the next three years from her mother.
Bubble top coupes are desirable today, but I remember a lot of people back in those days quickly gravitated to that more formal Chevy coupe roof line. Maybe not a surprise given the formal T-Bird like coupe greenhouse on the 59 Ford Galaxie was very popular when it came out.

My grandfather had a '62 Galaxie in that same color combination. Very similar looks.

IIRC 1962 was the first year GM offered the faux convertible roofline and it soon became more popular than the bubble tops.
