Not a bad guess but you're a little off. It's an Alfa 33 Sportwagon. I think the main difference between the Alfa 75/Milano and the similarly styled 33 was the use of a FWD boxer engine derived from the ill-fated Alfasud, whereas the RWD 75/Milano used I-4 or V-6 power.

R&T has good images up now.

Profile looks like a Mazda3, but it has those "shoulders" from the Tribeca. It's taller and more of a hatch vs. the old wagon style.

I like it, but then again the Mazda3 has been my favorite 5 door for a while now.

I forget what the Bentley coupe is called: Arnage? GTC? Something.

It's a Bentley coupe all right but not the fastback Continental GT, it's the 2008 Bentley Brooklands, a notchback coupe design. The Arnage was a late 90s four-door.

Me neither unless I copy/paste the URL. Try hosting it on your CarSpace page - give the old GMC some company. ;)

That's a 1946-47 Oldsmobile. Basically the same as the 1942 Olds with a much less busier grille. I believe 1948 was the first year for the much more modern "Futuramic" Olds.

    Well this is really confusing

If you Google 1948 Oldsmobile you get pictures that look like this one from a aaa.org>

I'm late in responding here, but I don't think GM had the "proper" 1948 models ready to go on-time, at the beginning of the model year. So they probably carried over the 1946-47 models for a few months.

At least, that's my guess. I know Chrysler had to do something like that in 1949, when their new models weren't quite ready yet. As a result, they kept building 1948 models and just calling them 1949 "First Series", whereas the proper 1949's were called "Second Series". Whenever I see sales totals listed in history books, I think they dump the "First Series" in with 1948 totals. I dunno what they would've done with GM.

Callaway Corvette C16 - let's take the best looking Corvette in years, spend a bunch of money on it, and end up with this

Hyundai Genesis V8 being shown now at the NYIAS. Speculation is that this car will be the flagship of a new Luxury brand from Hyundai motors but one wonders whether they can skip the step of building a credible mid-sized sedan.

I've driven the current Sonata and it is no CamCord.

I see they hired Chris Bangle to style it. Too bad.
  • texasestexases Member Posts: 11,138
And Bangle refers to designs like this to legitimize his disasters...

It seems like almost every new japanese and korean sedan has bangle elements now.

Ughh I can't wait for the bangle trend and the mailslot/armor car type windows to end.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,674
The Bangle butts don't bother me nearly as much as the pill box style windows.

No idea on the car, but it was Patrick McGoohan in 'The Prisoner', after he did 'Secret Agent Man'.

    Austin Mini-Moke?

    Yes - here's a smaller one:

  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,674
That's right. the Mini-Moke was a stripped down Mini and McGoohan portrayed "Number Seven" on The Prisoner.

Good guess, it does look like a TVR but it's a Wiesmann Roadster which combines ersatz Jag styling and BMW running gear.

About 500 Roadsters and GTs have been produced since 1993.

Looks like a 1958 Chrysler in the center; a 1958 Caddy in the background; and a a 1954 Ford on the right. Boz
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,674
The Chrysler is a '61 New Yorker (Cape Fear was released in 1962). You can see the grille of a '61 Buick behind the Chrysler on the right side of it.

Gregory Peck is behind the wheel and Robert Mitchum is walking behind the car.

  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,674
It's British but a bit larger than the 600 which is no bigger than your shoe.

ok, a bit of a side track, but I stumbled across a Honda 600's stripped bare body on a paint rack one day and was really struck with how similar it looked to a Mini. (In fact I assumed it was a Mini until the guy painting it corrected me.)

At the risk of looking like an idiot, I'll take a crack at #10103. Is it a Hillman (or maybe Sunbeam) Imp?
