    Dodge Stealth, aka Mitsubishi 3000GT

Yep. While mechanically identical the Dodge version was somewhat different from the Mitsu cosmetically.

Sunny? Looks like a Sentra hatch back.

Our stumper is the legendary Nissan Pulsar GTi-R, 2600 pounds of AWD turbocharged hatchback fury. And yes, it shares doors, interior, and some other parts with the B13 Sentra.

'76 or, more probably, a '77 -- the last year before the GM midsizes got downsized. Some sort of LeMans variant I've never seen before.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,675
the first and only year for the CA was 1977.

...Plymouth Valiant - note the black headlight bezels. In 1960, the car was simply known as Valiant.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,675
    That car's a 1960, Lemko.

    Here's an odd one=>

    Cirtoen Xsara Picasso.

My brother owns one in Brazil, it's a funky little van. 5 individual seats, seat back trays for the 2nd row, manual tranny, diesel engine available.

The thing looks like an Egg, though.

(well, duh, because of the double chevron emblem on the grille)

It's the companion car to the Renault Scenic, but I cannot remember it's name.

    Xsara?
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
Yes, it competes with the Renault Megane Scenic, at last in Brazil. The Scenic was a huge hit and the Picasso followed.

Now this little car is a hit in Brazil. But I'll let you folks guess since that's the point of this thread. :D

It's a Ford of some sort ... based on the Focus platform, IIRC.

Hmm, a quick look at the Ford UK website leads me to believe that it's the Fusion (might be called something else in Brazil, however).
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
Actually, that one is Fiesta-based. The thing is tiny, which you can't tell in that picture.

In Brazil it's called the Ford EcoSport. It's the best selling "utilitario" in Brazil now.

There's no accounting for taste :P. It's a 1948 Talbot Lago T26, don't know the coachbuilder but most likely Chapron or Saoutchik. Actually I was hoping I'd fool someone into thinking it was a Jag XK-120 ;)

  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,584
LOL I meant I like the 60 Starliner over the 61, not over the Talbot.

The dash is a Fiat or Alfa or something

Alfa Spyder Veloce, probably mid 70's vintage.

    2016 Audi A7 3.0T S Line, 2021 Subaru WRX

  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
Didn't those have the shifter up high in the dash, growing out like a weed?

Or was that later model years?

  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,675
You have the correct vintage and brand but that dash belongs to a '74 2000GTV
Coupe. The shifter is mounted relatively high in the dash supposedly because there's little or no linkage, the shift lever coming right out of the gearbox.

    Top: '55 Oldsmobile Holiday Coupe
    Bottom: '64 Oldsmobile Jetstar 88 (?)

In the '60's, Olds put about a million different names in front of "88." There was a Jetstar 88, a Dynamic 88, a Delta 88, a Delmont 88 and maybe 84 others.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,675
    You're just a little off.

The two-tone is a '54 Olds 88 and the blue car is a '63 Olds Starfire, distinguished by the satin silver stripe running down it's side.

    Easy, a Porsche 924, 1983 vintage?

    2016 Audi A7 3.0T S Line, 2021 Subaru WRX

  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,675
Not so easy, it's an '87 924S, which didn't use the Audi engine but used the Porsche 944 engine. In fact it was a 944 essentially, with the same suspension, interior etc, The cosmetic tip off is the telephone-dial 928 style wheels.

Euro plates make it a Toyota Yaris, also sold in Japan as the Vitz, and Canada and Australia as the Echo. The US Echo was a hackjob on this to get rid of the hatchback.

Pontiac 6000. IIRC they actually had some AWD versions of these.

GM must have sold a million of the Celebrity and its clones a year back in the 80s, because I still see those dumb things all the time. Sadly, they seem to be better and more durable than the Luminas and Corsicas that were supposed to replace them.
  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,584
That 6000 is probably an 87-88 due to the composite lights and 3rd rear brake light.

The Ciera we had back in the day wasn't exactly a marvel of high quality design
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,675
Yep there was an AWD Poncho 6000, it was somewhat popular here in New England.

I have no idea what the model numbers are, but I'm fairly certain the sedan is a rebadged Civic.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,675
It's kind of confusin Lancer but the sedan is a '98 Rover 400, it's based on the Honda Concerto which in turn is based on the late 90's Civic by way of the Honda Domani.

The little rounded one's a Rover 200, based on the Honda Ballade which was based on the 1980 Civic. Got all that ? :confuse:
