I remember having a hot wheels car when I was a kid with those same hood scoops.

can't see the picture now, but with those colors, is it a Hurst/olds?

That looks like a 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme SX.....basically a 442 in a notchback body with a 455, functional hood scoops and all. Sweet ride....

Kee-Rect. Both of you. A little known "muscle car" and a sweet ride indeed.

Sorry to bother those who are here to solve mistery awesome car. I am here to ask for help to identify the model of a crime car.

I uploaded 2nd video that was shot at different angle. So we can see the back of the car that parked at the pump for a long time. From the back, is it certain a Prizm or corolla?

    http://humboldtmedicalspecialists.com/video/

    Thank you everyone very much
  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,510
From the compilation of still pics you posted, I'd pretty much be willing to put money on it being a Corolla.
  • shanecashaneca Member Posts: 11
I saw the car had the key hole at the center area from the back of the trunk.

I thought I saw some interaction between the people on the far side of the pumps (the one with the hippie chick) and the people in the mystery car.
Turns out the guy was trying to bum some gas and probably got turned down. He got some from the people in the black Sentra (car in the foreground).

Maybe the lids can be interchanged? Hard to tell, really...but it is 100% certain it is one of the cars. That info should help the cops...there probably aren't many Prizms around to begin with, so that would be a narrow search to add to the Corolla.
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
Taillights seem more squared off than a Prizm's, so I'm leaning even more towards Corolla after seeing that 2nd video.
  • shanecashaneca Member Posts: 11
that makes the car look more square than it actually because the camera is higher up.

It looks like a '74-'79 Ford Pinto wagon or a '75-'79 Mercury Bobcat wagon to me. Tough to say exactly without seeing front/rear views and original wheel covers.....
  • jwilliams2jwilliams2 Member Posts: 910
I would agree. Mid seventies Pinto....

Sure looks like the 60 or so Falcon I had once upon a time. Must be a foriegn one, Canadian Frontenac, maybe?
  • lemkolemko Member Posts: 15,261
That was quick. It's a 1960 Frontenac. Note the red maple leafs on the wheel covers.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,672
    It's a 1974 Ford Pinto

    Ferrari 250 GTE, I think

    Ferrari 250 GTE, I think

That's right, the GTE was AKA the Ferrari 250GT 2+2 and as a four-seater was/is regarded as the red-headed stepchild of the 3 liter Ferrari
family. They have served as donors for faux recreations of 250 GTOs and 250GT California Spiders which is dumb and a shame.

The fakes don't fool anyone since the S/ns and history of each Ferrari are well known in the collector community and I personally like the GTE/2+2 which has very nice lines and a valid concept (four-seat Gran Turismo.

No, that's the new diesel pickup from India, I think, the one that got the poor EPA mpg estimate. But I don't remember the name.... :confuse:

edit: Mahindra's the name, I think.
  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,510
I think it's that Indian thing that was supposed to make it here but now apparently won't.

I'd be interested in the crash tests too.
  • Mr_ShiftrightMr_Shiftright Member Posts: 64,481
maybe if you're instantly re-incarnated you don't have to worry about crash tests?

Still the transition from one life to the next could be painful.

Looking at this truck is also painful.

It is awfully homely, with random tacked on details. There are some parts of the world nobody looks to for design leadership, and for good reason.

I am surprised we have crash test standards anymore...they aren't "business friendly".
  • Mr_ShiftrightMr_Shiftright Member Posts: 64,481
I know, pesky regulations. As Lee Iacocca famously said "How much clean air do you need?"

    And his Yogi Berra-ism:

"People want economy and they will pay any price to get it. "

    But that's a flying "B" :P

Bentley Continental, I think this type was 1953-55 or so.
  • Mr_ShiftrightMr_Shiftright Member Posts: 64,481
    Continental R Type, 1952-55.

    Swell car and highly prized.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,672
Yup, it's a 1955 Bentley Continental Type R and that is most definitely a Flying B>

    image

It's kinda hard to tell from the RR Winged Victory in a small photo so the best way to tell a Bentley from a Roller of that era is to look at the shape of the grille which was pretty rounded on a Bentley while the Rolls wore a much squarer grille front.

The Continental was one of the few Bentleys of that era which did not share bodywork with a Rolls.

I'm geezin'. When you get old, 3 things happen:

    * your eyesight deteriorates
    * you lose your memory
    * I forget the 3rd thing

    Mahindra's the name, I think.

I was shocked to see a Mahindra tractor dealership here in Wichita last week. I have no idea how long it's been there-- it's been perhaps 6-12 months since I was on the street where it is located.

...Right next to a John Deere dealership. :D

I don't know if they are selling many tractors, but I did immediately think of their ugly compact truck.
  • stickguystickguy Member Posts: 53,515
a little homely, but I like it conceptually. someone real (say, ford) should bring this same basic package over. especially get some people excited with a diesel and stick option.

in one of these, a 4 cyl is plenty of motor. Probably also as much truck as 90% of people need (the non workman, and even some of those will be fine), and it will fit in the garage!

to me, perfect 2nd car to go along with a sporty convertible.

Mahindra tractors are quite common, there's a dealer near me in New Hampshire. Wikipedia says they are the 3rd largest tractor builder in the wporeld.

Wow. Lots of cars there. Couple of VWs, '58 ford, 53-54 Chevy, 65 Dodge, '60 Mercury, Cadillac, Mopar, '59 Chevy, early 60's Corvair, 68 Dodge?, 64 Falcon, and coming down the hill a mid fifties Ford, a 63-64 Pontiac, etc, etc......

I don't see a '68 Dodge, or anything post '61. Did you mean '58 Dodge (directly behind the bus)? I think the Pontiac must be a '61.

I can make out the roof of a '61 Chevy just ahead of the '59. There's also a '61 Chevy wagon just ahead of and left of the Merc.

Isn't that white car ahead of the 60 Merc a mid sixties Buick Electra, and maybe a 66 Plymouth Fury ahead of it?
  • texasestexases Member Posts: 11,133
    I'm thinking the white car's a '65 Caddy.
