To the right of the Barracuda is a '69 Buick - IMHO one of the best Buick designs of the '60s or '70s.
"68-69ish Mercury wagon in the back. Park lane?" How about "Colony Park"? And I'll say it's a '71 based on the wheel covers and side marker trim, but hey, they all pretty much looked alike to me....
No one's mentioned the gold 69-ish Olds Cutlass or the VW Beetle with the bashed-in front lid. That's a bit of a mystery in that it has the flat windshield of pre-'74 Beetles and the big bumper of a post-'73 car (which would make it the newest car in the shot even if it doesn't look it). :confuse:
This is just a sampling of the amazing cars that appeared at the Villa d"Este in Lake Como for the annual Concours. Many are one offs or prewar classics but here's a selection of mostly production Gran Turismos from the postwar era. Be sure to click on the larger version.
A periscopo Countach no less. There is one of those in my area, they are sooo small when you see them in person.
I'll pick off a few others - BMW 507 at far left, numerous old Ferraris to the right of the Miura ending with what looks like a 400 Superamerica or possibly a Superfast.
Good eye on the Porsche Fin, I didn't see it behind the light pole. I see a '67 or '68 MoPar intermediate behind the late 50s Chevy/GMc pickup, is that your '68?
I'm not sure of the year of the big Chevy sedan to the left of the same P/up.

I was going by the 68 Chevy lemko mentioned. As he listed, the car that looks like a Mopar appears to actually be an AMC...threw me off a little too as the greenhouse wasn't familiar. The Impala beside the pickup is a 68.
400% magnification - and in fairness, the E type coupe is pretty distinctive - although most of the others get very pixilated as they are all basically straight lines.
It's from Ferris Bueller's Day Off. The red car is a Corvette-based replica of a Fantuzzi bodied 250 GT Spider California (similar to the Pininfarina bodied blue Spider above).
The green car is probably an MG-TC but it could be a prewar MG PA or JA.
I'll be d**ned; you are probably right. If it is, it's a Windsor. The Chrysler New Yorker wagon had the same tower tail lights as the sedan, but the Windsor appears to have that button light at the top, like the DeSoto.

I always thought that one was attractive, in a '60s wagon sort of way.

Anyone see the '65-'66 Mustang at the head of the street across from the store lot. going to the overpass? It's near the Jaguar.
