Not completely sure, looks like someone copied a Hummer H1 and made it lose it's aggressive looks in the process.
  • ford4lifeford4life Member Posts: 6
Its actually called the Mega Cruiser from Toyota
  • navigator89navigator89 Member Posts: 1,080
Where is the Mega Cruiser sold?

I googled it for more pictures, and this thing's overall shape is like the H1, except it doesn't look as rugged as the H1.

Lincoln Continental MkIII 1970 -I rarely get the year right, but these look the same for several years anyway. I wouldn't fancy parking it in this street though - the NSU would be better. One of my neighbours has a Clio, and a passing double decker took half the side off, so this would be a bit too wide...
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,675
You got it right, it is a 1970 Mk III.

  • navigator89navigator89 Member Posts: 1,080
    It's a Jaguar....but I forgot the model name.
  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,626
Sure looks like a XK150 FHC to me too
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,675
    You guys have it nailed, I think it's a '60. A buddy of mine had a '58 or '59, unfortunately it had an A/T. He redeemed himself by replacing the 150 w a '67 E-Type that had a 4-Speed.

Peugot 307...although that doesn't look quite right to me. Perhaps a MPV type of modified 307? My knowledge of the French lineup has really slipped.

Didn't remember the Lincolns looking like that! I was ready to go Nash or Hudson.

    Peugeot 407 Station Wagon. ;) It's very difficult to tell a 307 from a 407.

It's interesting that they call it a "Station Wagon" rather than a "Break"(tradional French term for wagons).

    Olds Cutlass Supreme
    I don't see a 442 symbol that I recognize.
    Is it 1970?

  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,626
Yeah it's just a Cutlass, no 442 that I can see either. Did they have an "S" model then?

    ca. 1970-71
  • imidazol97imidazol97 Member Posts: 27,725
I did find an "S" model while jumped through the internet to find something like this one. These are the cars I loved but couldn't buy at the time--I had Mustangs. I can't remember the grill patterns to keep them straight.

Those are the kind of cars I hated when I was a kid....of course, that was in the 80s and most were jalopies at the time. Big 70s style boats were about the worst part of automobile-dom in my young eyes. Of course, at the same time I thought fintails were freakshows and couldn't imagine wanting something that looked that way.

I am assuming "S" meant sport...are those wheels right?
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,675
Close, a '69 Cutlass, Cutlass Supreme was a later model.

probably my favorite car ever. Hard to believe that Ferrari now produces an abomination like the Enzo when they used to make this.

What were GM stylists thinking putting that silly dip in the door?
  • magnettemagnette Member Posts: 4,237
The 407 is quite a lot longer, more the size of a Passat, rather than the Golf sized 307. Because the 407 has such a long nose and a considerable overhang at the front, it looks better proportioned, in my opinion, as a wagon.

  • stickguystickguy Member Posts: 53,756
that's a Commando? I thought that was compact one (or maybe that was the Comanche).

I would have guessed a varient of the Jeepster

EDIT: OOps, I see that you did name it the Jeepster commando, so I guess I was right after all. Just never knew that was the model name.

one of my all time favorites as well. I may be in the minority, but I like the coupe better than the spyder.

Both are fine looking cars...and expensive now.

Rolls Phantom VI, probably from the 70s based on those colors, I've seen several Shadows like that.
