Would be good to have the full breakdown of the $5450 - determine if there is any cap reduction in it.
With those prices, I get $713/mo with the standard MF, $732/mo with .00175.
My guess is there is some cap reduction in the up front monies.

Recently Quoted for 36/10 2017 RX 350 AWD - F1 Sport IL, Tax is 7% on Lease Amount
MSRP : $57903 Sale Price : $54403 ( $3500 Dealer Discount) Rebate : $500 Plus First Lease Payment will be paid by Dealer. ($692) MF : .00155 Residual : 64% ($37,057) After 36 months. Down : $0
Dealer Asking $692/month and All Taxes, fees are roll into the monthly payment. I think payment looks high to me. Not sure what is the CAP Reduction and am I getting all the Discounts or not.
I might look into the AWD only without F1 Sport whose MSRP is ~ ($54000 - $53000).
Moderator not sure if this is there right place but maybe someone in this thread has the answer to my Question since it involves in ending a lease
I just purchase a 2017 RX 350 at a Lexus dealer. We had a 2014 Acura RDX that we had leased and the last lease payment was made and only the payoff was due. The dealer offered me $25,000 which is more than the payoff that I owed to Acura, so I had a credit due to put against the Lexus. I had expected to put the amount of the car which I was now considering a trade in of $25,000 against the purchase price of my new Lexus which would give me a reduction in the sales tax paid for the Lexus. Lexus finance manager said I could not use the $25,000 they paid me for the Acura because it was a lease and taxes are not paid on the payoff amount of my lease.
So, in the end I paid the full amount of sales tax on the purchase price on the Lexus. Does anyone know if this was calculated correctly. I am asking because I had a previous out the door quote from an Acura dealer, when we were considering purchasing an Acura which took into account my trade amount of $25,000 and reduced the sales price of the new car and then added in the Acura payoff amount after the tax calculation.
This ended up costing me $1,750.00 at Lexus. ugh.... Hate when the price changes so much when you are sitting in the finance office. Please let me know if you can answer my question.
I am not an Expert on Tax matters but looks like you dont own the Car when you trade in to Lexus, you just finish the Lease and give the Car to Lexus since the trade in amount of $25000 was higher then the Residual or payoff amount left on the Car. You never paid any Taxes on the Payoff amount if that's what your State Tax laws are.

Tax credits on leases can be tricky. As noted, a lot depends on how your state manages lease sales tax.
The dealer that took your trade bought the car from the leasing bank. You likely have no trade-in credit against the tax. This would have been the case, no matter what you bought or leased.

Would it of been different had I purchased an Acura from an Acura dealer? I had an out the door quote on an MDX with an Acura dealer which on the final invoice had the value of my trade reducing the tax on the new purchase? Still confused.

I get $501/mo with those numbers; pretty close to the dealer quote.
I was offered: '17 RX 350, 36 mo, 10,000 mi yr MSRP $49,109 (all in) $500 down includes 1st month payment $450/month all-in includes tax
and
'16 RX 350 w/Nav, 27 mo, 10,000 mi yr MSRP $51,859 (all in) $500 down all-in, includes 1st month payment $474/month all-in includes tax
I get $42.6k value on the 2017 and $43.5k on the 2016. Good deal? I think so, but was just scoffed at by a "know it all", so need some decent advice. Which is better and would you do?

Would be good to have the full breakdown of the $5450 - determine if there is any cap reduction in it.
With those prices, I get $713/mo with the standard MF, $732/mo with .00175.
My guess is there is some cap reduction in the up front monies.

The $1675 cap reduction will lower your payment about $46/mo.
Or - $667/mo with the base MF or $686/mo with the inflated MF.
Closer to the $695/mo quote from the dealer.

I'm sure you can get 18K/yr, but I don't know how much lower the residual will be.

I get $42.6k value on the 2017 and $43.5k on the 2016. Good deal? I think so, but was just scoffed at by a "know it all", so need some decent advice. Which is better and would you do?
I'd be more inclined to take the shorter term lease
