Just got this quote on a 2017 RX350 FWD from Beverly Hills Lexus...seems to be a solid deal. Would you mind checking the details for me?

To get to that payment, you need an adjusted CAP of approx. $47,850.

That's $2350 above your sale price.

That leaves me $300 short.. I'll guess that is tax on the rebate.

That's a really good deal.

But, I'd pay non-taxable amounts upfront, so I didn't get taxed on them, by rolling them into the payment.

That would be:
$530 1st payment
$600 DMV
$80 doc
$300 rebate tax

$1510 due at signing, $530/mo.
Saves about $180-$200 total.. Not a big deal, either way.

At a $47K CAP, I get $513/mo.+tax, or about $565/mo. Not too far off.

Also do you think going with 45 months is wrong?. i would prefer to stay at 36-39 but their telling me price wise would be better to go with 45 months. Thanks

Do you have other deals you can work with? That might help get the best pricing.

The issue with longer leases is that you are likely to have to pay for new tires and/or brakes, as those are wear items.

The residual value doesn't necessarily favor a 45 month term - for Lexus, 36 months is the sweet spot.

45 months is substantially lower payment, as it's 9 more months, for just a six percent reduction in residual.

But, the lower the selling price, the more that advantage shrinks.. Ask them to price it both ways, then make your decision. Lexus has a 4/50 warranty, so you are covered for the entire term, either way.

We do not have the MF and incentive information for the Eastern region, but we show .00001 and $3500 lease cash for the Central region.

The dealer is telling me that the residual for a 36/12 lease on the Base RX is 52% and there is lease cash of $3,100. Did the numbers change as you quoted 55% for a 36/15 and loyalty of $1,000? Are your numbers what they are going to be after the Command Event?

Base model has an MSRP of just over $56,000 with options added. It is not AWD or and F Sport.

No idea. Numbers won't be available until 4/3 at the earliest.

2017 Base FWD 36/12 residual is indeed 52%.

It helps if one doesn't read from the 2018 residual charts before responding to a question.

$2,373.25 are Drive off costs inc. reg, acq, smog, doc etc...

Payment of $591.42 before taxes.

Received another offer from different dealer and and the MSRP was $55,599 but the discount was larger with a selling price of $48,790 or about 88% of MSRP.

The detailed offer is telling me the Sales Manager is only willing to go $1609 under invoice to sell the car and the above the $591 is the best they can do.

Any thoughts of the detailed offer above. I have tried to tell them about the second offer and the discount but don’t want to budge.

I am good with walking but want to make sure the deal is high.

Based on Texas Louisiana deal the dealer could almost double the amount under purchase price as they did in that deal. I am in So Cal so. It sure if the dealers here have same incentives, holdbacks available to them.

I was requesting help to determine it the offer was high or acceptable. The reason I would continue is due to the color of the car as well as the location of the dealership. One is 5 minutes and the other 2 hours. Thanks for the help.

I don't know.. the way I find out if I can do better, is to shop around.

But, you've done that, and found a better deal.
Only you can make the judgement on whether location and color are worth paying more.

The cap cost is the selling price, plus any fees you are not paying up front.

Ask the dealer for this number.

The cap cost is $47700 with the rebate of $3,100 included. I am assuming based on my calculations that the costs being rolled into the lease are approximately $2,050. That is the only way I can get to the payment number of $582.

I guess that makes the cap cost about $49,750.

My local dealer was trying to get me into a MSRP of $56358 and the payment was $602 with zero out of pocket.

So I thought deal on a $58619 RX for $20 less a month with zero out of pocket was a good deal.

The dealer selling me the $58,619 MSRP also offered me a RX without luxury MSRP for $55,559 for a payment of $555 so the difference in the payment was $27 a month and for the term of the lease under $1,000 for an extra $2,300 on the MSRP.

All included tax and zero out of pocket.

I wouldn't assume anything when making a transaction of a close to $60,000 vehicle. I'd get iron clad confirmation from the dealer about every number that goes into the payment.
